Gionee has carved out a name for itself with its Marathon series, offering phones with large batteries aimed at delivering two days of usage on a single charge. The latest instalment in the series, the Marathon M5 Lite, is now live in India for ₹12,999 ($195), featuring a 4000mAh battery. You can even use the device to charge other smartphones.
Unlike the M5 Lite sold in China, which comes with 1GB of RAM and 16GB storage, the version that will go on sale in India will offer 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. Other specs include a 5-inch 720p display, 64-bit 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 SoC, 8MP camera, 5MP front shooter, and LTE connectivity. When it comes to the software, you get Amigo 3.0 running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
