Adobe Flash

Adobe's been saying this for a week or so now, and today it made it officially official in an official blog post: Flash Player 11.1 will come to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Huzzah. Look for the update in December (makes since, because November's 24 hours from being in our rear-view mirrors).

Glad to see another one last update for Flash Player (and AIR as well, which we're already seeing in the Android Market) for the Galaxy Nexus. Now if only we could get the phone in North America.

Now only if the Galaxy Nexus will launch by the end of the year we will be good.

It already launched though, I bought two of them the day the released it here in the UK. I don't use them both but since I could buy two, I did.

Does this mean that any phone after the Nexus probably won't have flash? Or is this just because Adobe flash didn't support ICS yet. I'm disappointed that Adobe is stopping flash already. I'm sure it's not the future but there are still TONS of websites with flash

Someone bash in and correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the idea was that this version of Flash (I don't even know if it's the most recent, which kinda proves a point I remember Phil making about Flash) is coming to the device. I don't know if it means this is the last version that will be made for ICS or something, but I didn't take it that way.

tronthedon says:

I assume it will work for all ICS devices, not just the Nexus. However, the same cannot be said for the J version of Android.

Thought this said nexT year... whoa
