Misfit's $199 smartwatch arrives this summer with Android Wear 2.0

Misfit showed off the fitness-focused Vapor smartwatch earlier this year, and today the manufacturer is announcing that the watch will debut with Android Wear 2.0 when it hits store shelves later this summer. The watch will retail for $199, and offers a 1.39-inch circular AMOLED display, heart rate sensor, integrated GPS, Snapdragon Wear 2100, and a touch-enabled bezel that you can use for navigating the interface.
There's 4GB of storage onboard, and the watch is water resistant up to 50 meters. It'll be available in two color options for the case — Jet Black or Rose Gold — and you'll be able to choose between five colors for the bands. Misfit isn't announcing a specific launch date beyond late summer, and while we'll likely see a slew of smartwatches make their debut in the interim, the $199 price is in the company's favor.

It looks awesome!

Might be time to replace my Moto v1 when this comes out
-
Same here.
-
Same here but I will be keeping it around since I still like the look of it plus I just changed out the battery so it's like how it was 2 1/2 years ago.
-
I really like the look and the low price. Just hope the battery is as good or better than my current Moto 360 2nd gen.
-
Not a bad looking watch compared to the new LG which I think is butt ugly. But it looks like a Corbin copy of the old Moto ,That was a good looking watch that you can now get a whole lot cheaper then this. Problem with the Android ware is there battery sucks
-
Except this doesn't have a flat tire, is an AMOLED screen instead of an LCD. It has actually metal lugs, not Motos original proprietary (read as STUPID) design for attaching straps. It's a carbon copy of the OG Moto 360, except it's completely different. And I'm not sure how AW 2.0 battery life will be, especially on the Snapdragon 2100. Still waiting for my Q Founder 2.0 to get the update.
-
Well Android ware battery live so far on the LG and couple others have been almost 50% less then the gear watches , with a bigger battery go figure. Not sure why this will be that different it's pretty much fossel watch design in a different packages with Android 2.0 adaptation . And it lacks NFC which at this point in the game is a major fail for me .
-
It doesn't look anything like a Fossil Watch. Completely different case design and Fossil uses a LCD, not an AMOLED. The internals are pretty much identical on all the current gen smart watches. As far as battery life, again, I can't comment because I haven't received Android Wear 2.0 yet. It may be no different, it may be world's better. Who knows.
-
There's a reason it'd look like a Fossil watch.. Fossil bought Misfit 2 years ago.

Sold
-
I wish it had NFC. That could have made this the perfect watch for this price.
-
Yeah, me too. I want Android Pay but I don't want to do it from my phone, watch feels a lot more convenient to me (if implemented well in Android Wear). I also don't have NFC on my phone anyway, but I made that choice wanting it a watch instead. Otherwise the Misfit looks perfect.
-
If it has interchangeable 22mm straps, I'd be very interested. Finally a watch that makes a really good fitness tracker, but can also be a good looking watch. I'd love to be able to switch between a silicone strap for workouts and a leather or stainless steel strap for going out with my wife. I hate switching between my GearFit 2 and my Q Founder 2.0. The GearFit2 is a great fitness tracker, but makes a crappy dress watch. The Q Founder is a great looking dress watch, but then I miss tracking steps while I'm wearing it. SHealth won't work with Google Fit, so any steps counted by my Q Founder are wasted. This may be my solution. Hmmm...Will Wait for reviews and inevitable sales.

I like this a lot. Sign me up.

Un-Obnoxious design: check
Useful features: check
Competitive price: check Barring disastrous reviews, I think Misfit might have a hit here. Let's face it, this is what the Huawei Watch sport should have been. -
What other watches are expected to launch? That statement has me curious.
-
Kind of reminds me if Samsung's Gear S2, but with a better price!
-
Gear s2 can be had much cheaper these days and you will be able to use Samsung pay with it

This is exactly what I want and the price is right. Everything but cellular. only 200 bucks. I would like nfc, but I can live.
-
I see no mention anywhere of an internal speaker for calling. Does it have one? I was very interested until I saw a video. Unlike the photos, in the video it looks very thick and large with the extra bezel. They did mention two different sizes available. Anyone know the dimensions / thickness of this watch? I'm not sure how I feel about the bezel even though it is functional. I still wear my original Moto 360 daily but have been looking for a replacement with a similar style and size. NFC and excellent battery life would also be nice but not a necessity.
-
It's a big watch face which is not a issue for me own a gear S3 love it . I suspect the battery to be just as bad as the one on the LG. And there's no NFC so no payments with your watch a major fail for me . And no stand alone calls only speakers for Google Now. You want a good looking round watch with all those features and more get the gear S3 classic
-
awesome. Exactly what I was waiting for. GPS, waterproof, HR coupled with good all around looks and normal lugs. No every unnecessary features under the sun. Perfect. Exactly how I would spec a watch. Good job
-
Android wear for $200? Tell me it takes normal bands and I'm sold. Yep NFC would be really nice for Android Pay but for a little more than a Pebble Time Steel I could live without NFC. I only hope the battery can keep up with only 1/2 hour of charging a day.
-
This watch looks very nice, does it have a speaker, in addition to a microphone?
-
Hey Hwawei!....this, this is all you had to do. Looks like my next smart watch.
-
This looks awesome and the Touch Enabled Bezel for navigation? Squeeeee!!! Have been waiting for this sort of innovation for Wear and sooo glad someone finally did it! Hopefully other vendors will take notice because Wear was way too late adding hardware nav options so am glad they are finally catching up. The price is unbelivable, and if true they'll sell a ton!
-
Need something to replace my Band 2...This could be a contender for sure.
-
Hello Moto.... I love that it resembles the og Moto.. might have to get this one!
-
Nice watch! It just needs NFC and optional sim slot for 4g LTE and it is perfect!!
