Kyocera has announced the Duraforce PRO, its latest rugged phone that has a built-in wide view action camera. Mainly known for its waterproof and shockproof devices, this will be the first time that Kyocera adds an action camera into its phone to combine the best of two worlds into one. Sporting a 5-inch 1080p display, the Duraforce PRO features 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. On the back you've got a 13MP camera, and the front has a 5MP shooter for capturing those selfies. The rear camera features a number of new modes, such as underwater mode, sports mode, slow motion, time-lapse and other camera filters/applications.
With its 3420mAh battery, you should get all-day battery life and solid recording time on the action camera. The phone will be available later this fall, but no word on pricing yet.

Looks like a great device for those with an Active lifestyle. Not to steal Kyocera's thunder or detract from the press release, but this is what Samsung's S7 Active should be capable of.
If the price is right, my Dad can finally upgrade his Casio G zone-great design and quality but battery way too small and no support. vzw Moto XPE/N7

Looks like a pretty good upgrade my kids hydras.. these are good rugged phones for your kids Posted via the Android Central App
I'd rather just take a Samsung Galaxy S7 Active over that junk.
I purchased one and so far everything is running smoothly. It takes great pics, vids, and CPU is fast. Many if my friends asked what kind of phone it is and like its features! I'd recommend this phone!
We just picked up one of these for my son after he shattered the screen on his old phone (dropped on the corner). It was ~$400 less than the S7 Rugged. So far, so good. 32gb memory which is expandable. Decently fast. The camera is ok - certainly not as good as the Samsung overall (low light is poor, and it seems to struggle with focusing). The android skin is very light. Overall, we're pretty pleased. It's a nice, solid, midrange phone that happens to be waterproof and, theoretically, drop proof to an extent.
