Insomniac Games announces Marvel's Wolverine game for PS5

What you need to know
- Not content to just make Spider-Man, Insomniac Games is working on a Wolverine game.
- There's no release window right now.
- During the PlayStation Showcase, Insomniac Games also announced Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
Insomniac Games, one of the premiere studios at Sony Worldwide Studios, is working on Marvel's Wolverine for the PS5. It's described as a "standalone" game and is being led by the same team that worked on Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, with creative director Brian Horton and game director Cameron Christian.
You can take a look at the announcement teaser trailer for Marvel's Wolverine below.
According to PlayStation Blog, this game is in early development. Marvel's Wolverine takes place in the same universe as the two Spider-Man games developed by Insomniac Games. During the same PlayStation Showcase, Insomniac Games also announced Marvel's Spider-Man 2, which stars both Peter Parker and Miles Morales is coming in 2023 and introduces Venom.
Given how there is no release date or even a release window for Marvel's Wolverine right now, as well as how the next mainline Spider-Man game is being aimed for 2023, we'd say it's safe to expect this game in 2024, at the earliest. As always, the pandemic has affected game development timelines, making it difficult to ascertain what will and won't be delayed.

I expect sony to make these scummy backroom exclusivity deals but as a marvel fan above all else the fact they really said screw you to anyone playing on another platform is gross.
-
This is no different than the rumored Xbox Indiana Jones game, or the rumored Kojima Xbox exclusive. Or is it only wrong when Sony does it?
-
Indy was never confirmed exclusive and the deal was made before they bought zenimax. Nothing Kojima would do is anywhere near as huge a deal as Marvel.
-
Kojima Xbox exclusivity deal would be just as "scummy" as this deal. Besides, Sony is providing the developer & the publishing...thats why they'll decide what platforms play the game
-
Maybe by the time Wolverine is released I might consider getting a PS5 - and maybe the stock shortages will be a thing of the past, maybe they'll fix the horrid expandable storage experience, and maybe even a price drop will be in order...
that's a lot of maybes...
but they have 3-4 years to figure em out...
