On April 6, 2016, Huawei introduced two new flagship phones — the Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus. The dual-lens P9 devices were created in collaboration with Leica, bringing a new standard to smartphone photography. The 12MP dual-camera design allows for an RGB lens that specializes in capturing color, along with a monochrome lens that takes in amazing detail.

Powering the 5.2-inch P9 is a Kirin 955 2.5GHz 64-bit ARM-based processor, a 3,000mAh battery and 32GB of storage with 3GB of RAM, or 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM. The larger P9 Plus brings a 5.5-inch screen, 3,400mAh battery, 64GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM. Both are rounded out by an 8MP front-facing camera, fingerprint scanner and USB-C.
