A little later than usual, Google has started rolling out the first of the Android 7.0 Nougat factory images for Nexus devices and the Pixel C. In addition to the Google-made tablet, Nexus 9 (WiFi-only) and Nexus Player owners can grab the new version of Android in its entirety and directly update over a USB connection.

Google has also published OTA zip packages for the same three devices.

Download: Nougat factory images

Factory images make it (relatively) easy to directly update from Marshmallow to Nougat through the command line without waiting for an over-the-air update. (Some folks have also been using the Android Beta Program to sidestep the waiting list over the past 24 hours.) Although this first wave of factory images doesn't include any phones, it's a good indicator that Google should soon have images for the likes of the Nexus 6, 5X and 6P.

We'll continue to update this page as new images land. (Or you can keep furiously refreshing Google's factory images page directly.)
