Bright red Nexus 5 lands on Canada's TELUS

Free on contract or C$500 outright
Canadian residents wanting a Nexus 5 in one of their country's national colors can now pick up the "bright red" version of the phone from TELUS. The Canadian carrier is offering the current Nexus handset in red as well as the standard black, for free on a two-year contract or for C$500 SIM-free. That's a good deal more than the Google Play Store price, but TELUS is offering in-store pickup and up to C$250 off when you trade in an old phone.
In case you were wondering, the red Nexus 5 is a particularly vivid shade of the color, as Phil Nickinson explains in our hands-on feature with the device —
"This is a bright red phone. At times, it's almost neon red. It goes from startling to painful to "Oh, my God, what have I done?!?!" depending on your lighting source. Consider yourself warned."
