T-Mobile and Sprint have announced that the Samsung Galaxy S5 in gaudy gold will be available in stores starting May 30. The Galaxy S5 is still going for free and around $27/month over 24 months. Sprint is offering a free gold Samsung HM1900 Bluetooth headset if you go with them. Samsung has additionally informed us that the gold Galaxy S5 will be available on AT&T, Verizon, and US Cellular starting on May 30th.
On top of that, T-Mobile has opened up pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014), which will be landing on June 4. Also, The Note 10.1 will cost $99.99 down with 24 monthly payments of $23, plus they're offering $10 off their most popular mobile internet plans until the end of the year.
Between the Note 10.1 release, the 200 MB free tablet data, and their new Walmart presence, T-Mobile is attacking the tablet space pretty aggressively. It'll be great if it actually pans out and T-Mobile enables more people to use their tablets outside of Wi-Fi hotspots, but it's a tall order. As for the gold Galaxy S5, it's not exactly classiest color out there, but obviously there are buyers out there eager to disagree.
How many of you guys use your tablets when not settled in at home or work? Is it something you bring with you regularly? Any takers on the Galaxy Note 10.1? Get preordering here. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S5 can be found on Sprint here and T-Mobile here.
