Japan disaster disrupts Xperia Arc/Play supplies, delays Neo
It looks like the delays that Sony Ericsson warned would result from the recent natural disasters in Japan have finally arrived. UK retailer Clove reports on its company blog that the European release date for the Xperia Neo has slipped to July as a result of supply chain disruption brought about by the disasters in Japan. Clove also reports that Xperia Play and Xperia Arc stocks are expected to be running low over the next few weeks.
Today's news follows delays to last week's Xperia Play and Arc launch on some UK networks, which were attricuted to "freight issues", though carriers say they're expecting additional stock of both phones throughout April. [Clove Blog (opens in new tab)]
