If you're a fan of video calling and have yet to try out Tango, now is a pretty good time to give it a look. The cross-platform video calling app was just updated in the Android Market. The two key items in the change log are:

  • Support for front facing cameras on Samsung devices
  • Fixed an issue that was causing some HTC EVOs to reboot when launching Tango

Tango will work over 3G, 4G and Wi-Fi and has a pretty simple set up process. If you've given Tango a spin, let us know in the comments or in the Android Central forums. Download link after the break. Thanks, Dave!

Tango Video Calls updated with fixes for EVO and Samsung devices

I think Tango has potential; however, Qik's always been the most reliable for me, and the newest update improves the UI immensely, and eliminates the push-to-talk. If you haven't tried it lately, I'd recommend it. (Of course, I don't have any friends with an iPhone 4, so the cross-platform isn't important to me. YMMV).

Anyone know if this will now work on the Samsung Transform. I'm going to try it tonight. I know I couldn't get Fring or Qik to work on the Transform.

I have the Evo and my husband has the Transform. We tried using Tango and we could see each other pretty well, but it was so choppy that we couldn't understand what each other was saying. We tried both on wi-fi and on 3G (and with mine on 4g and his on 3g). Anyone know if this will work at some point?
