LG

LG just dropped a little something in our inbox, giving advance warning of an "international media event" going down Aug. 7 in New York City. We're suckers for international media events, especially if they're in our backyard.

What to expect? There's a pretty good possibility we'll see that "successor" to the Optimus G that both LG and Qualcomm were teasing just yesterday, with its Snapdragon 800 processor in tow.

We've marked our calendars. Suggest you do the same.

I hope the G2 is coming to sprint, or it might just push me to abandon ship!!

If LG brings it's displays up to HTC SLCD standards I'm game for giving LG a shot again. After the stupid LG Chocolate I never considered them again.

I've read more than one review claiming the G Pro's display to be the best on the market. The N4 with some color calibration is gorgeous. On par with anything at 720P, unless you're touting a magnifying glass I suppose.

I've got the LG Optimus G Pro and I can attest to the fact that it has an amazing display. 5.5" of 1080p IPS goodness.

Have you actually seen the display on the original G? It's on par with the slcd 2 from last year. I've had the evo 4g lte and the OG and they're about equal. The slcd has better angles, while the G ips seems clearer and has accurate color. If you read most reviews from last year, many reviewers said the same.

Haha, i totally forgot that I had an lg chocolate at one time! Trip down memory lane

I've been patiently waiting for the ultimate handset to cometh before finally dropping my Galaxy S2, I think this might be the one!

I'm using the current options g and the display is one of the best at 720p I've seen on a phone. To me images are slightly more clear than the gs4's 1080p screen.

I'm not sure what LG is doing with their displays, but the LG OG and N4, and OG pro have THE best screens at their respective resolutions. they are just awesome....and i just haven't been impressed with the One's or the S4's display for some reason....

I'm sure Big Red won't get this device and it's probably going to push me over the edge
