LG's already sorta-confirmed that it's working on a new tablet, and now it's gone and outed the device's name on its YouTube channel. A preview video for the LG G Pad 8.3 sees LG asking regular people what'd make a tablet just right for them, with suggestions that LG's new 8.3-incher will sport a Full HD display, a thin design and the ability to connect to Smart TVs.

If an LG tablet launch is on the horizon — and it certainly seems to be — we could see it as early as next week, at the IFA 2013 trade show in Berlin, Germany.

Sounds like a remake of the Optimum Pad 8.9...only now 8.3" and without the Optimus name. One thing almost sure it most likely not have updates as well.

Isn't it odd that LG is doing free advertising for Apple's iPad mini? Especially when we all know that Apple is about to start selling a retina-display version of the mini in a few months from now.

Although, I do have to say that the G Pad is much more stylish than the mini. Oh right, they didn't bother showing it. None the less, I'm going to stand outside of Best Buy to be the first one to buy it.

*end snark*

True but Apple always overprices everything. While the iPad mini may cost $600, I'll betcha that LG's will cost at least $300

Johnny Z says:

Yes, and not $100 to go from 16GB to 32GB. And not 4:3.

Thats a very weird commercial. It looked like they brought their focus group outside to complain.

I buy this, if it can dual boot with webOS.
