Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

We knew it was coming and now after a slight delay thanks to a proclaimed early listing and some pesky XAPK errors, it has finally arrived. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City has landed in the Google Play Store and is ready for download. Rather than a straight up port of the original, Rockstar Games has redone the game as part of their 10 year anniversary celebrations and as such have included high res graphics, customizable control layouts and improved targeting as well as a slew of other enhancements:

  • Massive campaign with countless hours of gameplay
  • Compatible with the MoGa Wireless Game Controller and select USB gamepads
  • Integrated with Immersion tactile effects
  • Tailor your visual experience with adjustable graphic settings

In addition to all of that love, supported languages include English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Korean, Russian, and Japanese so that people around the world can check out the mobile version. If you're looking to pick up Grand Theft Auto: Vice City the pricing is set at around $5 so be sure you check compatibility before you dive in. Also, check your storage space -- you'll need around 1.5GB available to make use of in order to run the game. Bring on the big hair and pastel suits!

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City now available on Google Play

Not compatible with an AT&T LG Optimus G. Same internals as Nexus4 and arguably the most powerful phone on the market. FAIL

compatible with evo 3d but not the evo v 4g... same phone just diff branding... i hate when this happens... game works perf when build.prop changed to that of nexus 4

Didn't buy it but the play store says it's compatible with the i317 (Aka Note 2 on AT&T)...not sure why you Verizon GN2's don't have compatibility..

Downloading on my Nexus 4 and 7 now :)

This is only the second game I've purchased. Vice City is a must have!! Can't wait to relive the old times.

Works fine on Galaxy S2, apart from some random blackouts.

The cool 'ride as passenger while driver' glitch is still in the game by the way.

I've figured out holdups- tap on the clerk while holding a gun and it will lock.

*Kaufman cabs now take damage on both sides. :D

edit: the blackouts seem to occur after 5 mins of playing but restarting the game refreshes the 'cycle', it doesn't seem to be due to any particular area. Good thing we have insta save. Overall this is a great adaptation that seems to have mercy on the battery and runs better on max settings than gta3 did on lowest settings.

Spotted a securicar parked outside the Bank on second island. (yes I'm there without doing any missions lol)

Yeah how bout them apples. I just tried to download it on my new Quad Core Beast GN2 VNW and boy was i surprised to find out I am not supported. What a joke! I love the GTA series too! I have every version dating back to the original overhead arcade GTA and all the new ones on both PC and Consol(xbox) its a big disappointment that I cant have this one. I loved GTA so much that San Andreas cost me an entire semester of college, well Madden and Medal of Honor helped a bit too.

Probably because it is not available for your device. Log into Google Play on a desktop browser and find the game - it will say whether or not your device is compatible.

No love for the Razr HD Maxx either. :(

Awesome its finally out.. Now I just gotta wait a few weeks maybe a couple months till its on sale for $1.....

Im cheap... and patient.... thats, a lethal combination

I have been very excited for this game how is it not compatible with LG intuition?!?!?!? This is just bull! However iam hopeful for a update. If this many people are having problems surely they will fix it.. fingers crossed
