It's lit up in Frederick, MD now finally too, noticed it last week, don't know if it's official yet or not, but the whole state is nearly blanketed now.

Hvacmanjc says:

I live in Frederick, MD also but have Sprint. They have been saying for a year now that it will have LTE turned on.....Wishful thinking I guess!

Yeah bro that happened to me in East Rochester, New York, where I live... I had strong LTE signal for a month before they made the "Added additional coverage in Rochester, NY" announcement lol. I think they want to make sure the network is solid before they say anything. Holler to like 36 mbps download speed btw lol

Sweet, lots of LTE markets near me in IL! Good to see IL getting a little more attention rather than just Chicago

Likely includes Ames as well, no?

Its actually been here for about a month, but its not that much of an improvement in that time. I'm getting the same DL speed downtown as I would with HSPA+, but upload has increased. I just did a speed test and got less than stellar results. ~5mb down ~3mb up. I'm by the Principal building.

Yay, I live in Galesburg and finally won't have to get burnt by Verizon or US Cellular!

benthe1 says:

Then switch to T-Mobile...they're MUCH cheaper and unlimited....

btswein says:

Umm, most of SE Wisconsin and even some northern counties have had LTE for the past year on AT&T.

dante501 says:

Well not eau Claire and surrounding area. No LTE at all. T-Mobile Verizon do have it. Hmm ATT not so much.

Its probably because a low percentage of at&t users live in your general area... really... really crappy I know..

besweeet says:

If anybody happens to be wondering how this list stacks up against T-Mobile: http://pastebin.com/TAByF62S

Slightly disappointing, but not a problem if you don't ever plan on visiting the 2G or roaming areas.

greatgoogly says:

Wish they would give some more backhaul to some of the areas that they already have LTE. Here in Worcester, MA I just switched from the Nexus 4 where I was getting between 1 and 3MB down and maybe 1 up to the Nexus 5 with LTE. Still getting pretty much the exact same numbers on the LTE network. The network is faster in the early morning but when the public schools let out in the afternoon it sometimes drops under even 1MB down and almost zippo for upload.

Patsfan123 says:

You sure you are actually on LTE? Your account with AT&T may not be provisioned for LTE if you've never purchased a LTE phone from AT&T..

I've never seen it dip below 15mbps anywhere in MA while on LTE..

mgfjd12 says:

LTE in my area used to be around 50 mb/s now it is around 5 -6 mb/s . T-mobile is faster around 10 mb/s

Still no LTE in my area, while Verizon and even us cellular has had it for more than a year. -_-

myriam says:

Why is it that I never see anything in Virginia?

wpnokia920 says:

Exactly Lynchburg va has nothing yet Richmond, Roanoke, Charlottesville do. All surrounding areas I don't get it.

Clarksville, TN lit up this week as well, though some areas further from the center of town were sporadic. FINALLY!!

fredw004 says:

Port Huron, Mi. First noticed it on November 1st.

No matter what AT&T do Verizon wireless will still have better coverage and more 4GLTE and more dependable.

I dont think this is true. Verizon has the WORST call quality of any carrier and its "network" includes its failing 3G network, which is miserably slow.

Oh, and AT&T just won JD Powers for best service, customer service and network speeds. (As well as PC Magazine).

While on AT&T, you can fall back to 4G (HSPA+ 21) if you lose an LTE signal & its still really fast. Try that on VZW.

Also, you can talk and surf at the same time when that happens, not on Verizon.

I truly believe people DO believe their BS marketing. Try T-Mobile or AT&T, you'll be surprised!
