Droid 2 Global release date

Pricing and release information has leaked out regarding two of Verizon's upcoming Android phones, the Motorola Droid 2 Global and Samsung Continuum

The Samsung Continuum -- see our hands-on -- the newest Galaxy S device, will cost $199 with a new 2-year contract. Still no word on a release date, but we're expecting to hear that information at Samsung's mobile event on Monday.

The Droid 2 Global, which is a beefed-up Droid 2 with international capabilities, appears to have a launch date of Nov. 11 and will also sport the $199 price tag. That's a good deal considering the specs and the fact that it is a world phone.

November is going to be a big month for Verizon as its Android family will get some strong additions. One more pic after the break. [Engadget 1] [Engadget 2]

1.2ghz processor? Impressive. Isn't that the most ghz a nonoverclocked phone has ever had?

GHz isn't everything though. Just check out the smartphone benchmarks site (Google it). Remember Pentium 4 vs Core 2 Duo fight?

Oh my god... I just had an idea! Since this has quad GSM could it be used on at&t with 3G? If it could this would be the best android ever able to be used on the network.

Im thinking the same thing. I see its tri band umts whats the bands. I would love a qwerty android device. This or the Desire Z.
