Lol.... Canada

I just hope it won't have rooting problems like the G2.

Dropp says:

Not bad I could unlock it and use it on AT&T.

Kiserai says:

Yeah, but if I was going to buy a phone to unlock and put it on AT&T I would rather get the Desire HD. The Z is cool, but I love the look of the HD way more and I don't need/want a physical keyboard.

Dropp says:

Yea true but this phone will get att 3g and the Desire wont. Thats a big difference to me.

this needs to get on sprint asap.

Doesn't Bell use both CDMA and GSM frequencies? I wonder i this would work on Verizon

Kyran says:

MSM7230 = No Sprint or Verizon. It would need an MSM7630 for that.

Croak#AC says:

Bell will not bring in new CDMA devices, they're phasing the system out and are fully committed to UMTS (and LTE) for future phone tech, and they are working hard to convert all their existing contracted CDMA customers over to UMTS.

The other CDMA carrier, Telus, is in partnership with Bell for UMTS tower/sharing, so they're not supporting new CDMA devices either.

The rollout to the remote parts of Canada isn't complete yet, so in those bits of boondock, CDMA is still alive and kicking, but only until the new equipment is installed.

Long story short, CDMA is dying in Canada. The iPhone and Winter Olympics were the nails in the coffin.

It'll be dead in the US before the decade is over too.

Croak#AC says:

I do. Live in Canada, that is.

I also hates me some spambots too.

How do I buy this phone if I live in the US and want to use my AT&T SIM card because I sure that Bell and AT&T use 850 megahertz. Also if I buy this phone will I be able to get updates even though I would be using AT&T not Bell
