HTC has announced plans to introduce the J Butterfly smartphone to the world with a new international variant. Branded as the "Butterfly 3", the company will launch the international version of the Butterfly in Taiwan on October 25.
Announced at a press conference in Japan, the Butterfly 3 will set purchasers back NT$19,900 ($600), which will set them up with a 5.2-inch QHD display, 3GB of RAM, 20-MP camera setup, 32GB of internal storage, Qualcomm 810 octa-core processor, and a 2,700mAh battery.
As an added bonus, the Butterfly 3 has IPX5 and IPX7 certification for water and dust resistance. While no concrete plans were shared for a worldwide release, we have hope HTC will add more markets to the launch list.
