Reports are flying in today that U.S. Cellular is finally rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat for the Samsung Galaxy S3. It looks like the update may have started last night, so if you're rocking an S3 on US Cellular, you should have been able to grab the OTA update by now.
Sprint's Samsung Galaxy S3 is getting an update to Android 4.4.2 KitKat today. Back in February, Samsung listed the devices that would get KitKat, with the Galaxy S3 being on that list, followed shortly by confirmation from Sprint . The one thing missing from both promises of updates was a timeline. Turns out that timeline, at least for Sprint Galaxy S3 owners, comes to a head today.
Verizon's Galaxy S3 — yes, that old salt — is getting an update today. And this update, apparently, gives the phone roaming access on Canada's Telus network. And ... well, that's it. You'll be up to Build JSS15J.I535VRUCNC1 with this one. So update at your leisure, if you're the kind who has to update all the things. (Like some of us around here.)
