Android Wear is about to get a couple of new apps courtesy of Spotify and Foursquare.

Spotify and Foursquare out pair of Android Wear apps

Both Spotify and Foursquare announced that they are bringing their respective services to Android Wear smartwatches in upcoming updates.

For music fans, Spotify announced an update to its Android app that will start rolling out next month, bringing with it the ability to browse music right from your Android Wear smartwatch. While you've been able to pause and play music through Spotify on your Android Wear device for a while, the ability to browse and select songs without pulling out your phone is something new.

Not to be outdone, Foursquare announced that Android Wear smartwatch owners are getting a little love from them as well. Users will be able to use the company's Android Wear app to quickly search for and read reviews of nearby locations right from their wrist. According to the blog post, it sounds like this one is set to roll out today, but it doesn't appear to be available in Google Play just yet. Oh, and if you're a fan of the company's other product, Swarm, Foursquare says that an Android Wear app for it is coming soon as well.
