Galaxy Tab S

Samsung has commenced pre-orders of the recently announced Galaxy Tab S tablets in its home country. Although pricing for the tablets hasn't been revealed, Samsung has mentioned that the first orders will receive a set of Level On on-ear headphones for free.

Announced earlier this month, the Galaxy Tab S lineup features WQXGA (2560 x 1600) AMOLED displays and octa-core Exynos 5420 processors, as well as 3GB of RAM, 8 MP camera, 16/32 GB internal memory, finger scanner, NFC, IR blaster, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Samsung's Magazine UX.

The tablets are slated to hit retailers like Amazon and Best Buy in the US later this week, with the 8.4-inch Wi-Fi only model costing $399 and the 10.1-inch variant $499. LTE-enabled models will be available later this year.

Are you interested in the Galaxy Tab S series? What do you think is a feature missing from these tablets?

I'm right there with you. I keep looking around at Central Rama IX to see if they know a release date here but no one seems to know. I'm going to retire my iPad 4 for this and can't wait!

Looking forward to the 10.5in LTE version... This will replace my iPad Air on sprint--I can't stand that thing.
