HTC One M8 Qmadix S Series Cover

And here we have the QMadix S Series Cover for the HTC One M8. This is a hard plastic shell case that definitely beefs up how much abuse your M8 will be able to tolerate — from the back at least. It also adds a few millimeters of thickness to the phone, but we'd argue that's excusable given that it makes the phone easier to hold overall. You can thank the front RIM for that. It gives you a little extra grip, provides a little contrast in design, and also recesses the display a little bit, so you can place the phone face-down without worrying about scratching anything.

The back of the case is a smooth, semi-gloss finish. The black version we have tends to show off the oil from fingers pretty well, so you'll be wanting to wipe this guy off. (Or not. Your call.) The camera lenses also will be recessed a bit, so they'll be a little protected as well.

You've got cutouts on the bottom for the USB port and 3.5mm headphone jack. The power button up top is covered, and the case's button doesn't give the same sort of tactile feedback. Nothing you can't get used to; it's just not as good. The covers over the volume buttons, however, have no cause for complaint.

And that's it, really. The QMadix S Series Case looks to be a solid choice for an HTC One M8 case. It won't break the bank, either, which is always a plus.

Is the IR blaster not able to be used with this case?

Insert witty signature here.

I think so — the rim around the front is transparent. Will double-check, though.

ugly case imo

I agree. That just makes a beautiful phone look hideous.

Had one for the Moto X, too slippery imo.

Seeing crappy cases like this or huge cases like an Otter Box cover up a phone like the M8 or an iPhone for that matter makes me chuckle about people who complain about the the plastic construction of Samsung phones. Does the phone build even matter when most people put these cases on their phones?

I hear ya. this one's not that bad, though, IMHO. Still keeps the lines of the phone intact.

The thing about it is that many of us who complain about the build quality of lesser phones while at the same time use an Otterbox or similar case is that the cases only go on when needed and come off when not.

While I love to case up my phone in a Defender case while I climb a utility pole during the day, I love to use my M8 caseless if I'm out that same evening.

Exactly. I take the case off my phone as soon as I can.

I never felt the need to use any type of case on my M7 or any other phone. The M8 has made me rethink that. The gun metal gray is so damned slick that I found I was constantly afraid of it slipping out of my hand. I opted for an Incipio folio and it seems to be doing the job.

The case serves a purpose no doubt but god it really is a ugly looking case. Total shame to wrap such a beautiful phone in such a ugly case.

I agree, it is a shame to hide away a beautiful device like the M8 in a case of any kind. However the only reason I did was because of the main camera lens. If I could find one of those new glass screen protectors for the camera I would ditch my Incipio case in a heartbeat.
