Samsung Galaxy S

This isn't going to do much for those of you with brand-new Samsung Captivates or Vibrants, but a Samsung France spokesman says the international version of the Galaxy S will be getting Android 2.2 in September. That may bode well for its U.S. counterparts getting it sometime thereafter, though remember we have to take our carriers into consideration when it comes to getting updates. Wouldn't surprise me...I'm sure that's why we haven't heard about the Fascinate yet either for VZ. With DROID, Droid X and Droid2 all having Froyo by sometime next month, and the Incredible soon after, no way VZ launches another Android phone with only 2.1

I already got some froyo goodness on my Droid. Just root the thing and be done with it. I would bet that the custom roms would beat the pants off the original. I know mine does.

I love my Captivate! Woot!

I can't wait for the Fascinate. Even if it comes with 2.1, I'm sure installing a leaked Froyo 2.2 from France shouldn't be too difficult :)
I want my Android phone already!! Verizon get your head out of your @$$ and release the damned thing already!
