Telus' early upgrade program, T-UP!, will be discontinued on April 18. This change will not impact those who already are enrolled in the coverage until their 2-year T-UP! enrollment expires, they renew their contract or replace their smartphone. With this program, customers could pay $10 a month to be able to trade in their phone for a new one after 12 months.

From MobileSyrup:

In an email statement to us, Telus confirmed the program is shutting down and said "this change is a result of careful consideration and evaluation of the T-UP! program, and TELUS' ongoing efforts to ensure we are offering our customers the most valued products and services. TELUS' Trade-in program is a great alternative option available for all customers wishing to reduce the cost of their new device when they upgrade."

The program was first made available in 2013 for the iPhone, and then later expanded in 2014 to additional phone models.
