Instagram

Instagram is having a little spat with Twitter right now, but that's not stopping it from coming out with an update today. The update is bringing a new black & white filter called "Willow," as well as numerous bugfixes and performance enhancements. If you're a fan of filters you won't look down on this, and it at least shows that Instagram isn't forgetting about its app on Android.

Now unfortunately this isn't a UI refresh like those iOS users just got... but we'd expect to see that soon as well.

Completely wrecked the app for my galaxy note 2. Any attempt to use flash crashes the app... Every time

Take the pic with your regular camera with flash then select it in Instagram. I prefer taking original pics then post editing cause I don't want to be stuck with all squared and filtered pics. lol

Instagram also saves the original picture in your Camera folder. So you don't have to worry about not having the original high-res, no effect picture. So to recap, it saves the original, non cropped or edited picture in the Camera folder and the cropped filtered Instagram picture in the Instagram folder.

Same here on the note 2. It won't take pictures using the app camera at all. 90% of the time I usually take photos with the stock camera and upload to the app though.

Hopefully they'll fix the bug asap.

Wtf? Nice update LOL iOS version got a "better" camera and Android got a new filter. What a joke LOL

I take pictures with another camera app but still found it hilarious.

I'm wondering why iOS version can use a full size picture and shrink/fit it into the instagram picture size.

I thought I was the only one who noticed this.

Has anyone else noticed that pictures pulled from G+/Picasa have a horrible quality now on Instagram? Pictures from the camera or facebook galleries aren't nearly as bad.

Well. Guess I have to wait for next update to fix the app so it works with flash on note 2.
Using regular cam and then instagram kinda ruin the idea.
