HTC Amaze 4G getting Ice Cream Sandwich update starting today

anyone having trouble with the messages app? my friend just updated and it shows "Please wait" and its been trying to load for the past hour...she cannot send or view text messages

I had to wait like 10 minutes and made sure my display didn't "sleep", and then it finally worked haha.

Another problem I'm having with ICS is where's the equalizer settings for the music player?

EDIT: Just kidding found them. It's called "Sound enhancer" when you hit the settings button.

Are they sure it will improve the phone? Because you know what Moto said...

Just kidding. Well done, HTC!

Such an ugly phone imo. Nonetheless I am excited it will finally see ICS. At least htc is trying to get these phones updated. Tho I do agree with Moto, being a GNex owner I can safely say ICS needs some work done. It's not all that stable.

I'm kind of on the fence about its looks. Gotta hand ti to them though, this is one of the few devices in this market at least, that actually has a distinctive look to it.

Actually not much there some few hotfixes, you see a lot of 4.0.3 because it's the first version with newest API Level number 15

It's nice to see HTC join ASUS in rolling out ICS updates, now if only Samsung will start bringing ICS to the Galaxy S2 devices

Update went very smooth, no issues. I'm really digging it so far. Also waithing to see what the battery life will be.

I personally suggest not getting this for the Android Amaze. I liked the Phone before I downloaded it, because the whole phone takes about 30 minutes to load, it kills the battery (A LOT) and when I try to get Text Messages, it takes about 20 minutes just to see the messages. You have to go on Task Manager a lot to help clean out your phone, but it doesn't do any good for text messages. I wish I didn't download the Ice Cream Sandwich!

I just did the update yesterday &I love it ! The features are so much better and the battery life improved ( : 5 stars on the update !

Just updated it today--took a long time. I guessed I should have chosen wi-fi connection for the download instead of let itself pick. The mobile network is very slow at my location. Otherwise the download and update went very smoothly. Now the web browser on the phone loads very fast, much much faster than the one on my computer, which is not a slow machine at all. I'm now very impressed by the performance. And the battery life seems to have improved.
