We're big fans of the HTC One M8 around here, but if you've been holding out for a snappier paint job, this is good news. The red one sure does pop. Be sure to check out our HTC One M8 review for a full run-down, and our head-to-head with the Samsung Galaxy S5 if you're still on the fence. Head over to Verizon if you're pretty sure you want to pick up one of the new colors — they'll be available starting June 5th (that's Thursday, for those without a calendar handing).

What do you guys think of the new colors? Is the gold too tacky? The red too bright, or just right?

Red HTC One M8 comes to Verizon, along with amber gold

I agree. It must be financially worthwhile to the manufacturer though or they wouldn't do it. I find it hard to believe it is worth it to the carrier.

The HK I can see maybe being worth it because there are other improvements.

Colored plastic I cannot see being all that worthwhile

I didn't read it was color exclusive to a carrier. I would expect it to soon be available for more carriers perhaps online as well.

There were rumors that it is exclusive to Verizon which wouldn't bother me seeing that I am a Verizon customer but at the same time it would really suck cause I currently have the M7 and wanted it in red but it was an exclusive for Sprint. I'm hoping it will available to all carriers at some point. Let's not get me going on the Blue color being an exclusive to Best Buy and if you wanted to buy it at Full Retail BB would charge you $799.99 when the carriers were all selling the other colors at $599 full retail and even though At&T and T-Mobile had it priced at $629.99 that's still cheaper then BB.

Well, if you are able to s-off your device and so on, you can turn yours into an HK edition. I am on AT&T and im running it myself :)

HTC please bring the Glamour Red M8 to Europe asap.
I liked it already a lot on the M7 but already owned a black M7 when the red came out...
