Impressive stuff. But couldn't HTC squeeze a little more juice in it than 1620 mAh? Hopefully an extended life battery will be available.

El Jefe says:

Surely you know by now that it's HTC's M.O. to build a nice phone & then skimp on the battery, right?

Lately, they have been spending too much time on gimmicks for my liking. I would prefer to see them spend resources on better battery management instead of 3D displays or Beats Audio. I mean, what did they spend for Beats? $300 Million?

How far could that $ have went into new battery technology?

A 2750 mAh battery is already out there. HTCpedia announced it back on Oct 19: http://htcpedia.com/news/htc-rezound-extended-battery-2750-mah.html

Tkun says:

Yeah, but that's an extended battery, and extended batteries always increase the thickness of a phone. And since HTC phones are already thicker than most smartphones, it's pretty inexcusable for such small capacity batteries to be inside of their devices.

Almost threw up when I saw the battery size if i move away from the tbolt its to move away from the extended battery too...

Cthugha says:

1280x720 @ 4.3" screen => 341.54 PPI/DPI

Does that make it a Retina+ display or is that name trademarked? ;)

Great specs anyway! The best specs for any phone currently...

DrDoppio says:

I suggest "Fovea" display.

addison12 says:

Good specs, is this unit a "world phone", anyone?

Why would HTC go back down in screen size? The Galaxy Nexus is the same size case but 10% bigger screen.

How can it compete with that?

frozndevl says:

I would take a 4.3" phone over anything larger all day long. 4.3 is plenty big, and having recently used a 4.0" phone, I think I like that even more.

Cthugha says:

I agree! And I'd prefer a 4" screen but 4.3" is ok if the rest of the device is slim enough.
Anything over 4.3" is crazy!

mr nruz says:

same specs as the tmobile galaxy s2 minus the 720p display and wireless charging and screen size

shmengie says:

it IS a 720p display.

EeZeEpEe says:

I think he meant to use the word "except" instead of "minus". 720p, wireless charging, and screen size are all different.

jcastagnino says:

Does anyone know if this phone will have 3g simultaneous voice and data like the TBolt? I didn't realize how great that feature is until I had it.

tim242 says:

I've had HTC phones for 4 years. I am officially done. They made the phone longer than the tbolt...and still couldn't make a thinner. Droid Razr, here I come.

Tkun says:

Why would you get the Razr (and it's locked bootloader and non-replaceable battery among other things) over the Galaxy Nexus?

shmengie says:

ummm...dumb question: is the proximity sensor the nfc sensor?

jaric2 says:

Proximity sensor turns off the screen when you hold it up to your face when you're talking on the phone. An NFC chip is for services like Google wallet.

shmengie says:

thx. yes, of course i knew that. brain fart. i was just reading the specs over and over and not seeing the nfc chip listed, and trying to make it fit. but, wow, no nfc. okay...

DWR_31 says:

No mention of LTE...

DarknesSx says:

"WVGA (1280 x 720)" ??????

Do you even know what are the meanings of the letters you write ?!

and right below that you say "HD 720p display"

.......

jimbo says:

Does the HTC Rezound have DLNA like the HTC EVO 3D?

jetta01 says:

NFC?
