Sony Cyber-shot QX10 and QX100 v2.0 firmware adds higher ISO support, full 1080p video

Higher-end QX100 model also snags a shutter speed priority shooting mode

Sony's Cyber-shot QX10 and QX100 lens cameras may not be the most svelte accessories out there, but with the latest firmware bump to version 2.0, at least they're getting a bit more functional. The first two improvements will be immediately noticeable, and are applicable to both models — higher ISO support and full 1080p 30fps video. The QX10 makes the jump to supporting ISO 3200 from just 1600, and the QX100 moves to ISO 12800 support from just 3200.

The higher-end QX100 picks up a new feature as well that the QX10 doesn't, and that's a new shutter speed priority (or "S") mode. While it won't be the most useful for the average shooter, when combined with higher ISO support you'll be able to use the shutter speed priority mode to stop motion with less blur in a variety of situations.
