Walmart makes some of the most affordable Google TV sticks under its Onn brand. But if you were planning to grab the company's cheapest streaming stick, you'll now have to pay double what it originally cost.

Walmart introduced the Onn FHD Streaming Stick with Google TV back in 2023 for just $15. The smart stick then pushed the price up to $20, but now, as spotted by 9to5Google, Walmart has bumped the Onn FHD Streaming Stick all the way up to $30.

As spotted by the publication, logged-in users are still seeing the original $15 price tag, but anyone not signed into a Walmart account is now seeing the $30 price. A similar thing happened with the mid-tier 4K Plus model first, so it's likely only a matter of time before the base variant sees a permanent increase as well.

The move comes shortly after Apple raised prices on several of its devices, including the Apple TV. Walmart hasn't made any official statement, but the likely reason is the same one driving price increases across the industry: AI.

The push to build out AI data centers is driving up demand for memory components, which are also used in consumer tech hardware, and that's pushing component costs higher across the board. Since budget products already carry thin margins, it's natural for companies to pass those increased costs on to customers, and that appears to be exactly what's happening with Onn.

It's not the first time Walmart has raised prices on its streaming sticks, either. The Onn 4K Pro already costs $60, which is $10 more than the previous generation, while the Onn 4K Plus went from $30 to $40. Now the company's most affordable option is taking the same hit.

This year's Prime Day finally went live on June 23rd, but Amazon isn't the only retailer dropping great deals this week. Walmart just kicked off its rival "Walmart Deals" sale event, slashing prices on everything from headphones and smartphones to top-selling VR headsets. Sure, it may not be the most cleverly-named sale event around, but if you want to skip Amazon's big sale this year, the Walmart Deals event has you covered.

One of the best parts of the weeklong sale event is that, unlike the best Prime Day deals, Walmart won't force you to sign up for a membership program to enjoy most of these discounts. Simply hit that Add to Cart button and the savings are yours.

With that being said, if you were interested in Walmart+, it's worth mentioning that the retailer is currently slashing 50% off an annual membership, dropping the price to only $49 for one year. Google seems to be opening up its Gemini AI to third-party smart speakers, and Walmart looks set to be the first to take advantage.

A new Onn smart speaker has appeared on the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) website, first spotted by a Reddit user. The listing hints at Gemini running inside, not the older Google Assistant we’re used to (via Android Authority).

Since late 2023, there haven’t been any third-party smart speakers using Google’s latest AI. The last major ones were JBL’s Authentics 200, 300, and 500, which came with Assistant built in.

The first of its kind

Now, Google has been quietly focusing on Gemini for Home and has offered early access on its own speakers for the past year. But no third-party devices have launched with Gemini until this Walmart leak came along.

The CSA filing says it supports Google Cast for Audio, smart home controls, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, physical playback buttons, LED indicators, and a 10W driver. For those concerned about privacy, it also has a far-field mic array with a hardware kill switch. When you flip the switch, the mic is completely off, with no software involved.

The listing shows the speaker has a compact, simple design, matching Walmart’s affordable Onn products. There’s no price yet, but based on Onn’s history, it will likely cost less than Google’s $100 Home Speaker, which also hasn’t been released yet.

It remains unclear when the smart speaker becomes available. Walmart hasn’t made any official announcements, but the CSA listing suggests the launch could be soon. After all, new Onn 4K streaming sticks and Pro models have already appeared in stores quietly.

Android Central's Take

While it’s good to see someone besides Google taking the lead, it’s a bit surprising that Walmart is first. I use “At a Glance” on several devices and have been hoping Google would open up its best AI features. But putting Gemini in a budget Onn speaker feels a bit like putting a powerful engine in a basic machine. Although it’s great for users who don’t want to spend over $100 on a Nest, I wonder if the hardware can really keep up with what the software can do.

The JBL Flip 7 is a solid Bluetooth speaker with a great shape, making it easy to get great audio quality on the go. The sound profile is both boomy, with added bass boost, and clear in the mid and high frequencies, making for an excellent portable sound that also boasts a long-lasting battery. JBL says you can get up to 16 hours of battery life with the Playback Boost setting, and for those who prefer to customize their audio, the JBL mobile app also features a multi-band EQ (though most devices now also include their own built-in EQ settings, if you prefer that).

• Some users are having trouble trying to "activate" their Onn cameras, as the process keeps failing in the Home app.
• Others report not having access to the "24/7 recording" feature, despite having the required subscription.

Google unveiled a major shift in its smart home ecosystem earlier this month, and another series of cameras, part of its expansion, is finding difficulties.

A recent string of reports concerning the Google Home-integrated Walmart Onn cameras was highlighted by 9to5Google, as well as an issue it's also experienced. According to the publication, these cameras are stalling right out of the box, during the setup process between them and your phone. The post states that the Onn cameras are freezing on the "Activating" stage in the Home app.

It seems as though this issue is quite persistent, often failing and forcing the user to begin the setup process all over again. Users have reportedly mentioned this as a recurring problem; however, the publication identified an issue with updating the devices, which also fails.

Elsewhere, on Reddit, users on the Google Home subreddit have started reporting frustrating issues beyond the initial setup stages. One user asked if users were having issues "accessing the settings menu" for the Onn cameras with Home integration. They state that, in the app, all that appears is the "request contains invalid argument" (something went wrong) screen.

They state that they've "factory reset and deleted the home," but the issue persists.

The expansion's issues

Others are having difficulties accessing their "24/7 recording" content. The user states they've obtained the appropriate subscription for the feature, yet it won't surface. Some users have had varying success with factory resetting their devices, but it hasn't been consistent.

As far as the inaccessible settings go for the Onn cameras, one user detailed a set of step-by-step instructions that worked for them. So, if you're having similar troubles, perhaps this could be an option.

The major Gemini for Home announcement took place at the start of October, which unveiled new Nest cams and the upcoming Home Speaker. However, Google also announced an expansion of its Home integration for Walmart's Onn cameras. The company announced the integration for Onn's Indoor Wired and Video Doorbell cameras. Consumers were given 1080p resolution, Gemini's intelligent event alerts, and more, available in the Google Home app.

Google must want to clear out its Pixel Watch 3 stock before the Pixel Watch 4 arrives on October 9, because it's dropped the price to an all-time low of $199 (42% off) on Walmart. Now Pixel fans have a decision to make: Grab the still-reliable last-gen model while it's still available, or only accept the best new features with the Watch 4.

Having reviewed the Pixel Watch 3 and compared it against the other best Android smartwatches, I can confidently say that it's still worth buying, thanks to its speedy performance, Gemini commands, and Fitbit insights. In fact, if you're planning to pay for Fitbit Premium, saving hundreds upfront is a good way to offset that cost.

If you weigh the Pixel Watch 4 vs. 3, you'll see the same general design, weight, bands, performance, storage, and most of the same health sensors. It'll even get Wear OS 6 in the next month or two, matching the Watch 4's new software. It falls short for battery life, display brightness, safety features, and a couple of Gemini tricks — but you may be happy to skip these perks to save $150.

✅Recommended if: You have a Pixel phone or like other Google Home gadgets; you like the edgeless look and prefer a crown to Samsung's digital touch bezel; and you want Fitbit health and fitness insights.

❌Skip this deal if: You're a Samsung or OnePlus phone owner who prefers a more rugged Galaxy Watch 8 or a OnePlus Watch 3 with better battery life; or you want the Pixel Watch 4 for new perks like Gemini Raise to Talk and emergency satellite messaging.

In terms of why you should buy the Watch 4 instead, the new model gives you a 3,000-nit display with 16% smaller bezels, an extra 6+ hours of battery life per charge on top of much faster charging, and a new skin temperature sensor that's better at catching warning signs for illness.

Plus, it adds dual-band GPS for better workout accuracy and a new Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 chip with the same performance speed but the upside of satellite SOS connectivity to call for help in an emergency, even in cellular dead zones. You'd need the Watch 4 LTE for the satellite tech, though.

All in all, Google gave us plenty of tempting reasons to buy the current model! But only you can decide if it's worth spending an extra $150 for these perks, which won't be the case for everyone.

I started using the AirPods Max nearly a year ago, and they've been incredible. They sound much better than I imagined, the connectivity is rock-solid, and they have the best isolation of any product I've used yet. If you're in the Apple ecosystem and want an audio upgrade, this is definitely the way to go.

I use my AirPods Max with plenty of Android phones too, and they hold up just as well as the Bose QC Ultra or Sony WH-1000XM5. The USB-C model is highly convenient to use as it charges using the same cable as all of my other gear, and a new software update unlocks high-res audio, making the headset that much more versatile. The AirPods Max usually retail for $549, but they're down to $479 right now, putting them on the same footing as Sony's new WH-1000XM6.

I like the design of the AirPods Max better than Sony's products. The aluminum chassis is heavier than the plastic-clad Bose and Sony headsets, but it gives the Max better durability, and I didn't see any issues with reliability even after a year of extensive use.

While it doesn't look like it, the design has much better comfort than I imagined. The memory foam ear pads do a good job even with extended use, and the knit headband is highly breathable. I also like that you get the Max in unique color options — that's just not the case with most headsets in this category.

What makes the AirPods Max stand out is the sound quality; they have a powerful low-end combined with clean mids and an airy treble, and they do a fantastic job with a diverse set of genres. Also great is the spatial audio mode; there's a noticeable difference to the sound, and the increased soundstage makes music that much more immersive.

The noise isolation is unmatched; the AirPods Max do an incredible job tuning out ambient noises in the vicinity, and they're much more effective than Sony — something I didn't think was possible. I had no problems using the headset on a 10-hour flight, and battery life is equivalent to Bose and Sony rivals.

Basically, the AirPods Max are among the best headsets available today, and the discount to $479 makes them that much more accessible.

As one example, buyers can get the 2022 Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 for just $99 at Walmart right now, marking over $80 off the retailer's regular price, and a huge drop from the wearable's original $249.99 price tag.

Despite being a few generations old, the 2022 Galaxy Watch still features Bluetooth, water resistance, and a broad-ranging bioelectric impedance analysis (BIA) sensor that keeps track of heart rate, ECGs, and more. This particular deal is for the 40mm configuration, which boasts a 1.2-inch AMOLED display, and Samsung says it'll get up to 40 hours of battery life per charge, which is more than enough for most casual users.

✅Recommended if: you don't mind going with an older smartwatch; battery life is a major priority for you when buying a smartwatch; you have other devices within the Galaxy ecosystem or you've liked the Wear OS interface in the past.

❌Skip this deal if: you'd prefer to get a newer-gen smartwatch and wouldn't mind spending the extra money; you like an extremely thin and small watch on your wrist.

Samsung's Galaxy Watch 4 (and its Classic big sibling) was well-liked upon its release in 2022, in no small part due to its good-looking AMOLED displays of 1.2 inches for the 40mm, and 1.4 for the 44mm. In many ways, this old smartwatch boasts similar characteristics to many of today's best Samsung watches, and it also features body composition analysis, which was still pretty new at the time of release.

Samsung says it'll get users up to 40 hours of battery life, and it also comes with a bioelectric impedance analysis (BIA) sensor that offers a range of health details, from heart rate and sleep monitoring data to body water percentage and a wide range of fitness tools. There are a lot of cheap Android smartwatches out there, but if you want the Galaxy Watch experience for only 100 bucks, this deal deserves a serious look.

Prime Day 2025 is still months away, but if you don't want to wait, Walmart just launched its own sitewide sale event with a bounty of Android deals in tow. As usual, there's a ton of stuff on sale that our readers probably don't care about, so I've decided to save you a little time by gathering the top Walmart deals for Android users into this guide. I'm talking about deals like $230.99 off the Galaxy Watch Ultra, or this whopping $170 discount on the Beats Studio Pro. Attention, Android users: for a limited time, you can get as much as 25% off the Moonstone Gray version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Plus from Walmart, with other retailers currently offering similar deals.

The S10 Plus is our top tablet pick overall out of the many great Samsung tablets, and like the Ultra, it also comes with the first-party S Pen stylus and digital drawing tool. Despite the high price tag, the S10 Plus offers premium-level performance power, and a great-looking 120Hz high-resolution display that most users love. This particular offer is for the 256GB storage configuration, though you can also get this tablet with 512GB onboard by paying a little more.

✅Recommended if: you're looking for a premium tablet within the Galaxy ecosystem; you'd prefer a tablet that comes with a stylus; you like tablets that have a larger screen than average.

❌Skip this deal if: you prefer a smaller tablet overall; the price tag is a little out of your budget, even with the discounts; you'd rather upgrade to the even larger S10 Tab Ultra.

The designs for the S10 Plus and S10 Ultra were first leaked in August, and as many had hoped, they offered a small pivot toward larger, premium-level options. We were quick to name the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus the best Samsung tablet overall, especially because of its combo of smooth, quick performance, a beautiful 12.4-inch screen, and the inclusion of the S Pen.

Performance here is backed by 12GB of RAM and a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Plus, and the display's 120Hz refresh rate makes it suitable for a wide range of fast-paced, performance-intensive tasks—from gaming to digital drawing, and more.

The S10 Plus also has a durable build with a hefty design that will feel familiar to those already operating within the Galaxy ecosystem, and it also includes an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Anyone looking for an even-larger screen than this or slightly better performance may want to check out the S10 Ultra, which comes with a 14.6-inch screen and up to 16GB of RAM. It's also worth noting that the Ultra and Plus share the same processor, so the Plus will get the job done for most.

Garmin smartwatch deals are hardly uncommon, but it's unusual to see something as good as this offer from Walmart. The Garmin Forerunner 945, one of our favorite wearables for runners, is currently sitting with a 50% discount on the retailer's site, knocking the price down to only $299.99.

Sure, the Forerunner 945 is a few years old at this point, but it remains an excellent choice for casual joggers and marathon enthusiasts alike, with a bounty of accurate health and fitness tracking features, full color mapping, and more. This discount totally clobbers the current offerings from Amazon and Best Buy, and it almost makes you forget that widespread Garmin outage that happened last month (almost).

✅Recommended if: you want a rugged Garmin watch with loads of battery life, a durable build, and a ton of health and fitness-tracking metrics; you don't mind using a last-gen wearable that's technically been discontinued. 

❌Skip this deal if: you'd prefer a newer device that's set to receive more software updates; you like slimmer, more lightweight wearables. 

In addition to all of the comprehensive health and fitness tracking features you'd expect from one of the best Garmin watches, the Forerunner 945 boasts some premium features that may surprise you, such as onboard music storage, full-color mapping, and up to two weeks of battery life on a single charge. The fitness watch also comes with NFC and Garmin Pay support, plus you'll enjoy VO2 max fitness monitoring, incident detection, and built-in sleep tracking.

The Forerunner 945 may be a bit bulky for some folks, and shoppers looking for a stylish watch may prefer something like the Google Pixel Watch 3. But if you enjoy the Garmin wearable ecosystem and you missed the boat back in 2021, now's your chance to get the beloved Garmin smartwatch at a budget watch price.

In addition, these boast an easy-to-use mobile app, up to 30 hours of battery life, and extremely comfortable speaker cups that can be worn for long periods of time.

What comes with a Walmart Plus membership?

In addition to exclusive deal access, Walmart Plus memberships come with loads of great incentives, including free shipping on all orders (no minimum), free delivery from your local Walmart store, and a free subscription to the streaming service Paramount Plus (on the Essential Plan). 

Drivers with a Walmart Plus membership will also enjoy free tire repair and discounts on gas at over 13,000 participating locations. Walmart Plus also tends to offer some limited-time benefits that come and go. For example, sign up today and you'll get five months of Apple Music or three months of YouTube Premium at no additional cost.  

How much is a Walmart Plus membership? 

Walmart Plus memberships start at $12.95 per month, or you can pay $98 for a full year in advance. That drops the price of your membership to only $8.17 per month. Like we mentioned above, if you're still on the fence about the subscription service, you can sign up for a Walmart Plus free trial and enjoy nearly all of the benefits of the membership for a full month at no cost to you. Keep in mind that Walmart's "Exclusive Access" benefits are only available to full members after the trial period wraps up. 

What you need to know

• A so-called "magic button" has been rumored to be in the works for a Google TV remote since 2020, and it can be custom-mapped to a specific action.
• Rumors intensified late last year, when traces of the new button and remote appeared in the Android TV 14 Beta. 
• Now, the button finally arrived on Walmart's new Onn 4K Pro streaming box, which uses Google TV.

There were rumors and leaks that Google worked on a customizable Google TV remote button for years, but now it is finally debuting on a streaming box. However, it isn't a new Chromecast. Though there are reports that a refreshed Chromecast with Google TV 4K is on the way, the so-called "magic" button launched first on Walmart's new Onn 4K Pro Streaming Device. It's an improved Onn streaming box that retails for $50, includes an Ethernet jack, and features a refreshed remote. 

Now that the Onn 4K Pro Streaming Device is starting to hit the hands of early buyers, we're learning more about the magic button and its capabilities. AFTVNews got one of the earliest units, pulling the curtain behind the custom button, which is shaped like a star. On the Google TV remote for the Onn 4K Pro Streaming Device, this star button lives right across from the power button at the top of the remote. 

The first time you press the star button on a Google TV remote that includes it, a new screen will appear in Google's TV OS. "You can press the [star] button to open a favorite TV app or perform an action," the prompt explains. "Choose the type of shortcut below."

Right now, the star button appears to have only two options: You can map it to open an app of your choosing or have it switch device inputs on your TV. Based on Google's wording, however, more uses for the star button may come in the future. If you want to change its function after the initial setup process, you can do so in settings. Additionally, holding the star button will let you pick a new app assignment for it from anywhere.

To find settings related to customizable buttons on Google TV devices, you can navigate to Settings > Remote > Setup remote buttons > Customizable button.

While the star button is only available on the Onn 4K Pro for now, it would seem to be a lock for inclusion on the rumored upcoming Chromecast with Google TV 4K refresh. 

The star button isn't the only new one to appear on the Onn 4K Pro Streaming Device, either. There's also a massive "Free TV" button accentuated by a bright blue color. It's another differentiating factor for the Onn 4K Pro, which costs exactly the same as the regular Chromecast with Google TV 4K. You can buy the Onn 4K Pro starting now from Walmart's online store, but there appears to be limited or no in-store availability at the moment. 

What you need to know

• A listing for an unreleased "Onn 4K Pro Streaming Device" has appeared in the Bluetooth SIG database.
• It appears to hint at an upcoming streaming device from Walmart that will serve as a more premium Google TV competitor. 
• Currently, Walmart sells two Google TV streaming sticks: the Onn Google TV Full HD Streaming Device and the Onn Google TV 4K Streaming Box. 

Walmart's budget electronics brand Onn released two Google TV streaming devices last year, and a third might be on the way. You can choose from either the Onn Google TV Full HD Streaming Device or the Onn Google TV 4K Streaming Box today, which retail for $15 and $20, respectively. However, if a new listing in the Bluetooth SIG database is any indication, a more premium option might be on the way, offering "Pro" features while staying in the budget category. 

Walmart, officially named Wal-Mart Stores Inc., declared a new product in the Bluetooth SIG database on Tuesday, April 9 (via 91mobiles). The unreleased device is called the "Onn 4K Pro Streaming Device Google TV" and uses the Bluetooth 5.2 spec, hence its inclusion in the Bluetooth SIG database. The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) is the body that approves and licenses products that use the Bluetooth protocol and brands and hosts a database of licensed products.

It's unclear how Walmart will differentiate the 4K Pro Streaming Device from the existing 4K Streaming Box. The latter device checks several boxes for just $20, including 4K streaming and AV1 decoding support. However, the 4K Streaming Box uses a measly Quad-core Cortex-A35 processor with 2GB of memory and 8GB of storage. An easy way for Walmart to bolster its 4K Pro Streaming Device would be to add more RAM and on-device storage.  

Other areas that Walmart could improve on are the streaming box's build quality and port offerings. It's likely that the company will still target the budget market and try to keep the 4K Pro Streaming Device as cheap as possible, though. The two things we know for sure are that the 4K Pro Streaming Device will include a remote and run Google TV, as stated by the Bluetooth SIG product description. 

Products typically appear in regulatory or corporate databases, like Bluetooth SIG, when they are nearing an official launch. However, we still don't know when the Onn 4K Pro Streaming Device might debut or how much it will cost. 

Good smart TV deals don't come along often, especially not for TVs this big. Walmart has knocked $90 off the price of this LG 70-inch 4K UHD Smart TV, which features a 60Hz LED UHD display and easy access to all your streaming favorites. Find built-in apps like Netflix, Apple TV, Disney Plus, HBO Max, and more, all packed in a user-friendly smart TV interface.

To be sure, there are cheaper smart TVs out there, but not often from brands like LG or at this size. If you're a fan of LG TVs you've had in the past, then this deal might be a good option for you.

✅Recommended if: you're looking for a simple, user-friendly smart TV with a 70-inch screen; you like other LG smart TVs you've owned; you want a TV with a 4K display.

❌Skip this deal if: you want the cheapest TV available and don't really care for a name-brand product; you're looking for something larger or smaller than 70 inches.

This 70-inch smart TV includes a 4K UHD 3840x2160 display, along with classic features like Active HDR, Bluetooth, and virtual assistant compatibility. As for connectivity, this TV includes two side HDMI inputs, a cable-antenna input, ethernet, optical audio, and USB.

If you're in the market for a cheap wearable, we just uncovered a truly unmissable Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic deal over at Walmart. As part of the retailer's daily "Rollback" offerings, Walmart has dropped the price of the 2022 watch down to just shy of 100 bucks, no strings attached. Seeing how the Galaxy watch originally retailed for $349.99, this is a major, major discount. The only catch is that it could disappear at any time, and knowing Walmart, this will likely happen sooner rather than later. 

✅Recommended if: you own a Samsung phone; you don't mind using one of the best Android watches from 2022; you have a smaller wrist (this deal is for the 42mm watch). 

❌Skip this deal if: you can afford a newer Samsung smartwatch.

To put it simply: if you don't want to spend much more than $100 on a new smartwatch, this is without a doubt the best deal on the web today. Sure, the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic is a bit old at this point, but it still holds its own against a lot of the best Samsung watches on the market. You still get the physical rotating bezel with a stainless steel casing (similar to the construction of newer Classic models), plus up to 40 hours of battery life, Wear OS, and a comprehensive suite of health tracking features straight out of the box. 

This Walmart deal comes just a few days before Amazon's Big Spring Sale, a major shopping event that's sure to rival Prime Day and Black Friday when it comes to great tech deals. That Amazon sale event runs from March 20th through the 25th, but if you don't want to wait to pick up your new watch, this rollback offer is for you. 

Super Bowl LVIII is this Sunday, February 11th, which means you only have a few more days to take advantage of all the best smart TV deals before the big game starts. The 65-inch Class 4K UHD smart TV from onn., for instance, is selling for just $298 at Walmart. That's one of the retailer's top-selling sets for just under 300 bucks, offering you loads of bang for the buck with some surprisingly decent specs straight out of the box.

I'm talking about crystal clear 2160p resolution, HDR10 and Dolby Audio support, and instant access to all of your favorite streaming services through the Roku TV platform, not to mention plenty of ports on the back for all of your consoles and devices. Sure, it's not the most cutting-edge Android TV on the market, but a 65-inch 4K TV for this price is an absolute steal.

What you need to know

• Walmart debuted the Onn Full HD streaming stick with Google TV today, retailing for $15.
• You can order the device on Walmart's website starting now, but there appears to be no in-store purchase or pickup options just yet.
• This is Walmart's second in-house streaming device. It released a 4K UHD streaming box with Google TV earlier this year under the same Onn brand. 

There's a new affordable device that makes any TV smart with the Google TV streaming platform. Walmart unveiled today what it calls the Onn Google TV Full HD Streaming Device (via 9to5Google), which comes with a retail price of $15. 

The company's latest streaming product is naturally a competitor with Google's own Chromecast with Google TV (HD). Both devices run on the Google TV platform, a user interface designed by Google specifically for streaming that works atop Android TV OS. The remote for Walmart's streaming stick is also made for Google TV, including things like a voice assistant button. 

Walmart released this Google TV streaming stick under its Onn electronics brand, and it joins a few other of Walmart's streaming endeavors. The company released a 4K UHD streaming box with Google TV last year for $20, and this product will still remain as a 4K alternative to the new HD-only streaming stick. Before that, Walmart made a streaming stick based on Android TV in 2021.

While Walmart's streaming stick matches the feature set of a Chromecast with Google TV in the ways that matter, it doesn't get all the way there. The Onn streaming stick has 1.5GB of memory and 8GB of storage, and that's identical to the Chromecast with Google TV's specifications. It hasn't yet been confirmed what processor is powering this Onn device, but it's possible that it could be the same Amlogic S805X2 chip as the Chromecast with Google TV.

However, Walmart's option clearly falls short in the areas of power and design. It uses a micro-USB port for power, whereas the Chromecast with Google TV uses USB-C instead. Similarly, the remote for Onn's streaming stick looks a bit cluttered with buttons. Google's own remote looks sleek and simplistic by comparison.

But since this new streaming stick from Walmart runs Google TV, users will still get access to streaming services, Google's voice assistant, Chromecast, and many of the other flagship features from Google's own streaming stick. 

At a retail price of just $15, there may be a market for Walmart's streaming stick as an affordable way to get Google TV on any television for cheap. It is worth noting that recent deals have brought the price of a Chromecast with Google TV down to as low as $20, though its full retail price is $30. 

You can order the Onn streaming stick with Google TV today on Walmart's website, but there appears to be no in-store availability yet. Despite the product just being released today, there are already more than 75 "incentivized" customer reviews for it on Walmart's website, where people were given a free sample or other incentive in exchange for a review. 

Plenty of epic Black Friday and Cyber Monday earbuds deals have been flying around over the past few days, but if you just want something straightforward with good sound and features, look no further than the Beats Studio Buds. Currently just $90 during Walmart's Cyber Monday event, the Beats Studio Buds come with a super-comfortable design, 8.2mm audio drivers with Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos support, and perhaps most-importantly around the holiday season, active noise cancellation. 

Sure, they aren't the best wireless earbuds that money can buy, they aren't even the best buds that Beats by Dre has produced — that title probably belongs to the Beats Studio Buds Plus — but they have a nice, punchy sound profile and the active noise cancellation gets the job done. Plus, they're only $90 during the Cyber Monday sale, and that's a steal!

If you're in the market for a new 4K streaming device but don't want to splurge, Walmart has just revealed its latest Google TV streaming box.

The new Onn Google TV box is a 4K streaming newly recently revealed via the Google Play Console (via 9to5Google). It's essentially a successor to the Android TV streaming box that Walmart previously sold a couple of years ago. That device retailed for $30 and was capable of 4K streaming, although there were some compromises, which was understandable at that price.

The new Google TV streaming box seems to be a half-step upgrade compared to its predecessor. The device is already listed on Walmart's website, showing a retail price of just under $20. With that, you get 4K streaming, the arguably better Google TV UI, and Dolby Audio.

According to the Google Play Console certification, the chipset will support AV1 decoding, which gives it an edge over older devices like the Chromecast with Google TV. It will also come with a new remote with quick access to Google Assistant voice controls and streaming services like YouTube, Netflix, Disney+, and Paramount+.

Given the mediocre specs (2GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, and no HDR in sight), it's not exactly a high-end streaming device. However, it may be a cheaper (and in some ways, better) alternative to even the Chromecast with Google TV (HD), which retails for $30, caps the resolution at 1080p, and comes with just 1.5GB of RAM.

That said, the Walmart Onn Google TV 4K Streaming Box does not appear to be available for purchase just yet, and it's not clear when it will go on sale. But given its presence on the Walmart website, it's only a matter of time before we can get our hands on one.

Just about every retailer under the sun is competing for your business, which means a couple of the less-flashy deals might slip under your radar if you aren't vigilant. This offer from Walmart, for example, will give you a free $500 e-gift card when you activate a Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus through their site. 

It works like this. Pick up the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus and activate it through Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile by following Walmart's instructions, and the retailer will email you a $500 virtual gift card within 20 days of your purchase. That's all there is to it, no trade-in required. That 500 bucks can be used to buy anything on Walmart's website, and as you know, they have a lot of stuff to choose from. Although it's not a straight discount, it's one of the simpler Black Friday S22 deals that we've seen in a while, so it's worth checking out before the offer expires on December 2nd.

Not to mention special offers like six free months of Spotify Premium when you first sign up. And now, with the unveiling of the Walmart Plus Weekend sale, the choice between this service and Amazon Prime is going to be tougher than ever before.

Another great Walmart deal has just come down the pipeline, and this time it's a hefty discount on one of the best Fitbits around. If you want a great fitness tracker without all the bells and whistles (and price tag) of a smartwatch, you can't do much better than a device like the Fitbit Inspire 2. The easy-to-use wearable, which typically costs around $99, is currently on sale for $63 at Walmart, an impressive price drop of over 35%. The one potential drawback to the deal is that it's only available for the Desert Rose version of the device.

Even so, that price tag is a good bit cheaper than the competition: Amazon is currently selling the Fitbit Inspire 2 for $82, which might be worth considering if you're willing to pay extra to get the white or black version of the fitness tracker. No matter which deal you choose, you can rest easy knowing you're getting a comfortable, lightweight fitness tracker that doesn't skimp on high-tech features, like a 24/7 heart rate monitor and over 20 exercise modes.

Another nice thing about the Inspire 2 is that it comes with a free year of Fitbit Premium, a fitness app that offers guided exercises, meditations, and more. That's a pretty fantastic value in its own right — just don't forget to cancel the renewal in a year's time if you don't want to pay the $80 annual fee.

Walmart and streaming giant Spotify have joined forces to offer six free months of Spotify Premium, but only if you sign up for the retailer's online subscription service Walmart Plus. It works like this: sign up for a paid membership at Walmart Plus, make a Spotify account with a Premium plan, and you'll get six full months of ad-free music. That's an impressive value of $59, not to mention unhindered access to Spotify's complete library of music and podcasts.

Once the 6-month trial ends, you can keep Spotify Premium for $9.99/month or cancel the subscription with zero hassle. The streaming service has a library of over 80 million songs and highly-intelligent Discover Playlists that could help you find your next favorite band. You can also create your own playlists to share with friends and download songs for offline enjoyment. 

Having a Walmart Plus account has its advantages too. Members get discounted prescription medication, free delivery from nearby Walmart stores, and early access to certain restock events (such as the occasional PS5 restock). Think of it like Amazon Prime without video streaming and with a brick-and-mortar presence. 

How to get six months of Spotify Premium for free

What you need to know

• AT&T Prepaid plans are cheaper than ever at Walmart with an in-store activation.
• The AT&T Prepaid MAX plan requires a new line activation in-store and is not available online.
• AT&T Prepaid plans can be discounted by $30 with the Affordable Connectivity Program for eligible customers.

AT&T has new plan pricing for its AT&T Prepaid plans exclusively available at Walmart. As reported by The Verge, these plans include the 5GB, 15GB, and Unlimited MAX plans. The Unlimited MAX plan is mostly identical to the Unlimited Plus plan available directly from AT&T with unlimited data, talk and text, 10GB of hotspot data, 100GB of personal cloud storage, and HD video streaming.

While the Walmart 5GB and 15GB plans are also $5 less than their online counterparts, the biggest value comes with the Unlimited MAX plan with its unlimited data, 5G connectivity, 10GB of hotspot data, and HD video streaming. The unlimited data may be slowed if the network is busy, but in areas with a strong LTE coverage or C-band 5G, this may not even be noticeable to many people outside of an internet speed test app. Compare this to Unlimited Plus, which slows users down only after 22GB is used.

The HD streaming video quality is another nice perk, but it's important to remember that AT&T will disable this by default and force your phone to use SD resolutions. To fix this, you must disable the Stream Saver, a feature designed to keep data usage low on your account.

It's also worth noting that you will need a 5G-capable phone to use AT&T's 5G network. Most of the best Android phones now support 5G, but if you need an upgrade, some cheap 5G phones are available from Walmart to go with your new plan. Walmart offers phones like the Motorola One Ace 5G.

Like Metro by T-Mobile, AT&T Prepaid supports discounts from the Federal Government's Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) which offers $30 off of wireless data plans for eligible customers. Customers on tribal lands can save $75. There are no multi-line or family play discounts for AT&T Prepaid.

If you're ready to switch to AT&T's network but don't want to sign up for an expensive postpaid plan, AT&T prepaid's unlimited plans are a great place to start.

Walmart is making socially distant, contactless returns easier than ever this holiday season. Here's how you can return your unwanted gifts for free in just a few easy steps.

1. Go to Walmart.com in your web browser of choice or open the Walmart app.
2. Type Returns in the Search bar and hit Enter.
3. Under Ship it back, select Start your return.

• This deal more than doubles T-Mobile's presence in large national retailers.
• Metro by T-Mobile plans and devices will be available starting October 18, followed by T-Mobile on November 1.

T-Mobile and Walmart announced that Metro by T-Mobile plans and devices will come to Walmart retail locations followed by T-Mobile. The carrier's services will be available in 2,300 Walmart locations as well as Walmart.com. T-Mobile is also looking to expand into around 1,000 Best Buy locations.

While T-Mobile already has locations across the country inside stores, this deal with Walmart will more than double T-Mobile's presence in large retail locations, not to mention T-Mobile's own stores around the country.

Starting October 18, 2021, Metro by T-Mobile's three unlimited plans and affordable 5G devices will be available in Walmart stores and on Walmart.com. Metro by T-Mobile is a prepaid brand owned by T-Mobile. After choosing a new device and plan, customers will be able to activate their Metro by T-Mobile service online when convenient. SIM cards will also be available to those that wish to keep their current phones.

On November 1, 2021, T-Mobile's main postpaid plans will be available as well as T-Mobile devices. Customers will be able to choose from T-Mobile's unlimited plans, including Magenta and Magenta Max, some of the best cell phone plans you can get. Magenta Max comes with unlimited premium 5G data, Scam Shield Premium, and even a year of Apple TV+.

Customers will also be able to chat with employees to decide which plan is right for them.

Jon Freier, executive vice president of T-Mobile Consumer Group, said:

T-Mobile also uses its 5G to provide home broadband internet service to many people who have had no choice for broadband internet or only limited options. This service is now available to more than 10 million rural households.

T-Mobile has built the largest 5G network currently available with 305 million people covered, including in many rural areas. T-Mobile also now covers more than 165 million people with its faster Ultra Capacity 5G using the mid-band coverage it got from Sprint. T-Mobile plans to cover more than 200 million people with Ultra Capacity 5G by the end of the year.

• T-Mobile has announced plans to expand into nearly 3,000 Best Buy and Walmart locations.

When you walk into a Best Buy or Walmart location, chances are you see offerings from most of the best wireless carriers. This means AT&T and Verizon are front and center, but coming soon, you'll also see T-Mobile. Earlier today, T-Mobile confirmed (via The T-Mobile Report) plans to expand into more than 2,200 Walmart locations, along with 1,000 Best Buy stores. Of those 2,200 Walmart / T-Mobile locations, 1,000 of those will be located in "underserved rural areas."

But instead of you just working with your favorite Best Buy Mobile employee, these will be full-service locations within the stores. Think of it as a mini T-Mobile store found within the Best Buy or Walmart. At these locations, you will be able to manage your account just like you would if you went to a "traditional" T-Mobile store. This means you can manage your account, add a new line, upgrade your current line, and pretty much everything else.

This also means that you can now go through Best Buy's website and get a new phone for your T-Mobile plan. Currently, it seems that Best Buy and T-Mobile are sticking to either Samsung and Apple devices. The list includes the likes of the Galaxy Z Flip 3, along with some of the best cheap Android phones like the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G. Hopefully, the catalog of devices expands over time, but considering that this is just getting under way, it's like going to be a little bit before that happens.

In regards to those "underserved rural areas", this likely applies to regions of the country that have a difficult time actually finding a brick-and-mortar location to go to. T-Mobile has been working on expanding its coverage thanks to its 5G network and the use of the n71 low-band spectrum. This is just slightly different from the traditional T-Mobile 5G, as it's being called "T-Moible Extended Range 5G". With this spectrum, T-Mobile has epxanded its 5G network to reach more than 300 million people as it continues to widen its lead over AT&T and Verizon in terms of 5G coverage.

As for Walmart, despite T-Mobile stating that its presence would be larger in those locations, there is nothing to be found on Walmart's website showing that any changes are forthcoming.

Walmart's in-house Android TV UHD Streaming Device, which was quietly announced last month, is finally available to purchase (via 9to5Google). In addition to Walmart stores, you can also purchase the device online from the retailer's website for $30.

The Onn-branded Android TV UHD Streaming Device has a similar design to Google's ADT-3 streaming device, which was announced for developers in December 2019. It also has a Google-designed remote control with dedicated buttons for popular streaming services like Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, and YouTube. The remote includes an IR blaster, too, so you'll be able to use it to control your other home entertainment devices.

Unlike the best streaming devices, however, Walmart's Android TV UHD Streaming Device appears to lack HDR support. This could be a deal-breaker for some, especially since 4K HDR content is becoming more readily available. It also misses out on the new Google TV interface that Google introduced with its Chromecast with Google TV last year.

Walmart's FHD Streaming Stick, on the other hand, isn't available online just yet. The FHD model is priced at $25 and offers all the basic features you would expect from an affordable streaming stick — including built-in Chromecast, Dolby Audio support, and access to all the leading streaming services. You can even ask Google to control your TV with your voice, thanks to the dedicated Google Assistant button and built-in microphone on the remote control.

Onn Android TV UHD Streaming Device

Walmart's UHD Streaming Device lets you access up to 4K resolution content from all leading streaming services. It also comes with Chromecast built-in, which means you can easily cast photos and videos from your mobile device to the big screen.

Walmart has announced that it is launching a new Me@Walmart app for its associates and will provide new Samsung Galaxy smartphones to more than 740,000 employees.

The Me@Walmart will allow associates to perform daily work tasks such as clocking in, scheduling, and quick communication with push-to-talk. The app even includes voice assistant features with Ask Sam so employees can ask various questions about merchandise or metrics.

Employees will be limited to the Me@Walmart app and related work functions while clocked in, and it will use geofencing so that employees will only be able to clock in while physically at work.

The Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro will be provided to employees, along with a case and protection plan. The phone was released in the U.S. in early 2020, and while it may not be as powerful as a Samsung Galaxy S21 on the inside, it makes up for it on the outside with its rugged built.

The Galaxy XCover Pro features IP68 water and dust resistance and MIL-STD-810G certification, which are ideal when used in working situations. It has a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with a hole-punch selfie camera, dual cameras at the rear and is powered by an Exynos processor. It's an otherwise average smartphone but is one of the best rugged Android phones available.

Walmart employees will be able to use the XCover Pro as their personal devices as well, and Walmart states that employee privacy will be protected so it won't have access to their personal data.

As the world's largest public employer, Walmart hopes that the move will help the company make better use of some of the latest tech to empower its employees and help them be more efficient.

Not to be left out with Amazon's Prime Day getting all the attention this month, fellow retailers Walmart and Target have both announced their own summer sales. And, by pure chance I'm sure, the sales run at the same time as Prime Day.

Walmart's event, dubbed 'Deals for Days', will take place from June 20 through the June 23 and is said to feature "Black Friday-like savings" across its electronics, toys, home, beauty and fashion categories. Leveraging its physical locations, some deals will be available in-store in addition to online exclusives so you don't have to wait for items to be delivered.

Target's sale, the similarly titled 'Deal Days', kicks off just ahead of Prime Day as well, starting on June 20 and running through June 22. Target says it will be its "biggest digital sale of the summer", offering discounts across the store's entire assortment of products including electronics, home, toys, and even food and beverage categories. Target is also using its brick and mortar stores to its advantage by offering in-store pickup options for its deals.

While Prime Day is exclusive only to members of Amazon's $119 per year subscription service, the Target and Walmart sales do not require a membership fee to participate. It's possible we might see the retailers price-matching Amazon's deals during the sale, so it may end up being a way for those without Prime to snag the same prices elsewhere.

If you're sticking with Amazon's own sale, you'll want to ensure your Prime membership is active for June 21 through June 22 to get in on the 48-hour sale.

This year's Prime Day sales event will occur in the U.S., the UK, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Spain, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Portugal, Netherlands, Mexico, Luxembourg, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, China, Brazil, Belgium, Austria, and Australia.

Walmart's Android TV stick is available on the company's website and has been for almost a week at this point, but it's not truly on sale (courtesy of our friends over at 9to5Google.)

The streaming stick was first spotted earlier this year via its FCC listing, revealing its design and some of its specifications. This new Walmart listing confirms pretty much everything, from the 4K UHD support to its Dolby Audio. It'll be dubbed the rather laborious "onn. Android TV UHD Streaming Device", and it'll set you back $29.88. The box will get you the UHD TV streaming device, remote control with included batteries, an AC adapter, and a quick start guide.

Separately, Walmart's listing touts the following key specs:

Even though Walmart's not exactly a premier Android brand, the company has been making Android tablets for a while, and it makes some of the best cheap tablets under its onn. brand. It's even been one of Google's first choices for its new entertainment space feature alongside Lenovo.

This isn't likely to launch with the Google TV experience, though Google still promises to bring that to other OEMs in the coming months. With this listing already up, we can expect its TV stick (or UHD Streaming Device) to launch within the coming weeks, if not days.

Chromecast with Google TV

If you can't wait for Walmart's model, the Chromecast with Google TV is Google's more expensive alternative. Coming in three sleek colors, the low-price and thoughtful interface make this a tempting product.
