The S26 Plus also boasts a ton of useful AI features, seven years of guaranteed OS and security upgrades, and an efficient 4,900mAh battery that should easily last a full day on a single charge. 

So why is the Galaxy S26 Plus so often overlooked? I'd call it a price and comparison problem. Like many phones released this year, the Galaxy S26 Plus was hit with a $100 price hike, which means it now costs $1,099.99 unlocked. That's only $200 cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, which is a considerably better phone by just about every metric.

Unlike the Ultra, the Galaxy S26 Plus doesn't really innovate in any category, either; it's a solid "Goldilocks" phone that performs well but doesn't exactly inspire excitement in users. In other words, folks who are searching for S26 deals are likely to choose the S26 Ultra for a more premium experience, or they'll go with the base model S26 if they want something simple. And that leaves the S26 Plus in the dust.

We've said it before: OEMs don't need to be producing new flagship phones every year, let alone three. But now that the Galaxy S26 Plus is among us, it deserves a closer look, especially if you can get it for free from your wireless carrier.

Motorola's Razr 2026 lineup has only been out for a few weeks, but it didn't take long for retailers and wireless carriers alike to drop some exceptional deals on the innovative foldables. Just like its predecessor, the 2026 Motorola Razr remains the perfect entry-level flip phone for most people. Straight out of the box, you get two gorgeous AMOLED displays with a durable folding hinge, while under the hood you get the power of an upgraded MediaTek Dimensity 7450X chipset and a larger battery capacity than the 2025 phone. The clamshell device is also equipped with a new 50MP ultrawide lens and some new Android 16 features that are simply a blast to use.

So what's the catch? Well, the base model is a bit chunkier and less powerful than the 2026 Razr Plus and Razr Ultra, so it's worth looking around a bit to see if you can find a good deal on those more-expensive phones before you commit. 

It's also worth mentioning that last year's Motorola Razr Ultra (2025) is a better phone than the standard Razr (2026) in just about every way imaginable, and that device gets discounted pretty heavily on a regular basis. With Prime Day just around the corner, it'd be understandable if you wanted to wait and see if the last-gen phone will get a straight discount worth considering.

Don't get me wrong: the Motorola Razr (2026) a versatile, budget-friendly flip phone that should satisfy foldable enthusiasts and newcomers alike, but I'd only take advantage of this deal if you're a new T-Mobile customer or looking to switch. For everyone else, there are plenty of other Motorola Razr deals to explore.

Motorola's first book-style foldable phone has finally hit the streets, but most folks will have a tough time affording the Razr Fold without a good deal. Fortunately, T-Mobile has you covered with an offer that will get you the innovative smartphone for FREE when you add a line with the Experience Beyond plan. We've been waiting a long time for Motorola to release its book-style smartphone, and the Razr Fold doesn't disappoint. Straight out of the box, you get an ultra-thin, lightweight device with two glorious pOLED displays and a durable folding hinge that should make Samsung nervous. 

The foldable is also equipped with a huge 6,000mAh display (a shocker given its thin build), the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, and 16GB of RAM for unstoppable performance.

Motorola still lags a bit behind the competition when it comes to AI features and first-party accessories, but the OEM has clearly proven that Samsung and Google aren't the only companies that can produce outstanding foldable phones for the masses. 

Just like the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold, however, the main sticking point with the Razr Fold is going to be its steep $1,700 price tag. Fortunately, there are T-Mobile deals like this to lessen the blow. • T-Mobile sticks to its word and finally rolls out its network-native AI Live Translation beta for customers.
• This feature runs natively through its 5G network, meaning you will only need to dial *87* when on a call to initiate the real-time AI translator (no extra downloads needed).
• T-Mobile states that since this AI runs natively in its network, it can work on "virtually any phone" from smartphones to old flip phones.

T-Mobile teased and talked about the basics a few months ago, and now it's ready for the full "native" Live Translation beta.

Back in February, T-Mobile talked about how it wanted to move into a "native" AI experience to help people using its service. Today (May 21), T-Mobile sent a press release, highlighting the Live Translation beta. Its president of technology and CTO, John Saw, says this test will serve as an "early example of network-native AI." Together with its 5G network, T-Mobile is leaning on telco edge and its distributed cloud infrastructure to implement AI processes in its cell network.

A blog post goes into more detail, stating that the Live Translation beta has officially arrived "into the network our customers use every day, so conversations can truly flow, with no language barriers."

This AI translator is "contextually-aware" and operates in real-time to translate what callers are saying. T-Mobile ensures its users that all call translations are handled over its network, without needing to download an extra app or software. To use it, you must be a T-Mobile customer and dial *87* during a call. The post says its AI Live Translation supports "over 80 languages (and counting)." However, only one person needs to be on T-Mobile's network to use this feature and dial *87*.

Another statement reads, "It all works on virtually any phone that connects to our network, from the newest smartphone to a classic flip phone."

Just the start

With Live Translation's beta arriving today, T-Mobile is teasing its network-based AI. It says that, for the longest time, cell networks have been "defined by how fast and how far they could go." In this new age, T-Mobile foresees a shift toward an "intelligent network" with network-native AI. Live Translation's capabilities will expand throughout the year. T-Mobile states consumer feedback will be invaluable, as it looks to enhance this feature for callers.

We got our first glimpse of T-Mobile's network-native AI feature in February. Details were light; however, its CEO, Srini Gopalan, said, "Some of the biggest barriers wireless customers face are the simplest ones — like being able to understand each other." The entire purpose of this feature is to better connect people with others, like family members who live in other countries and primarily speak Spanish, Portuguese, or Korean.

Android Central's Take

This feature sounded cool back in February when T-Mobile first discussed. Now that it's actually here for customers, hopefully it works as good as they say. This is an opt-in feature, so if you can understand what your family member is saying, then you don't need to turn it on. But this is something convenient, and feels like a next (useful) step up from what we have on our phones. If I can open this app and understand what you're saying, shouldn't a cell network carry that same usefulness if I want it?

If you want to buy a new phone, there's no shortage of great T-Mobile deals to explore. If, on the other hand, you want to keep your existing device and join a new wireless carrier, you may be concerned that options are limited. Well, thanks to this new deal from T-Mobile, that's no longer the case.

Switch to T-Mobile from Verizon or AT&T and the wireless giant will give you up to $800 in the form of a prepaid MasterCard to pay off your existing phone. So what's the catch? Well, it's worth noting that switching from AT&T will require you to pay off your existing device before you can get it unlocked by the carrier. That means you'll have to drop a little cash upfront before you can request the rebate from T-Mobile. Switching from Verizon, on the other hand, gives you the chance to receive the T-Mobile rebate before paying off the phone.

That said, if you're sick of all the best wireless deals requiring you to buy a new phone to enjoy any significant savings, this T-Mobile deal is a great way to ditch your AT&T or Verizon wireless plan without abandoning your trusty smartphone. And if there's less than $800 left on your device payment plan, you could make the switch with minimal hassle and a bit of extra cash in your wallet.

We're on our phones all day, which means eye fatigue can set in quickly, but TCL is here with a solution that U.S. consumers can order today (Apr 8).

A press release details that TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro is now available for U.S. consumers via T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile. The company highlights the device as providing a "unique angle" in the world of smartphones. The NXTPAPER 70 Pro features a "display designed to reduce eye strain without sacrificing performance." In a PR Newswire post, TCL explains that the phone utilizes the "most-advanced" version of its proprietary NXTPAPER display technology.

This e-paper display minimizes glare and reduces its blue light emission to remain softer on your eyes. Moreover, the NXTPAPER 70 Pro's display automatically adapts to a wide range of user activities. Whether the user is watching videos, scrolling social media, or reading an e-book, the phone will ensure the visuals remain sharp and vibrant.

Comfort shouldn't come at a steep cost, which is why TCL states the NXTPAPER 70 Pro is available for $199.

At this price point, users will receive a 6.9-inch FHD Plus 120Hz display with Android 16. Internally, the phone is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 7300 SoC. AI tools for transcriptions and summaries are included, as well as "true color calibration" and wide-angle circular polarization, which facilitates comfortable viewing from different angles.

Paper-like screen for your eyes

When the NXTPAPER 70 Pro launched in January, TCL had many interested U.S. consumers looking around, as the country wasn't mentioned. The company only highlighted Europe, Asia-Pacific, North America, the Middle East & Africa, and Latin America during the initial reveal. While North America was included, the U.S., specifically, was not. It had us worried, considering the NXTPAPER 60 Ultra never made it.

Luckily, with this announcement, it's now becoming available at T-Mobile. The NXTPAPER 70 Pro features a Color Paper Mode, which offers a muted appearance for its paper-like display, alongside its Ink Paper Mode, which is more traditional (black and white). TCL also implemented a NXTPAPER Key. This is a physical switch on the phone that lets users switch between Color Paper, Ink Paper, and Max Ink modes.

After a short demo, it was clear the NXTPAPER 70 Pro's display was cooking. TCL's devices rarely debut in the U.S., but its eye-friendly display just felt too good to pass up to my colleague Brady Snyder.

Android Central's Take

For such a cheap price—$199—TCL might attract consumers for the 70 Pro. It's just, well, it's not hard to see how people might gravitate elsewhere. Eye health is incredibly important, especially since we're surrounded by screens day in and day out. E-paper displays are also quite prevalent on e-readers, so we're used to this technology. My only curiosity is how many people are actively seeking this kind of thing out for a phone.

The Google Pixel 10a has only been out since March 5th, but there's already a new T-Mobile deal that'll get you the midrange masterpiece for FREE with very little hassle. For a limited time, if you add a line with "most plans" on the carrier's site, you'll be eligible for a free Google Pixel 10a AND a pair of Pixel Buds 2a earbuds, no trade-in required.

That's over $600 of free Pixel goodies, and all you have to do is add a wireless line to your T-Mobile account. Both new and existing customers are eligible, making this one of the most compelling T-Mobile deals that I've seen all year. 

Typically retailing for around $499.99, the Google Pixel 10a is a cheap Android phone that comes packed full of flagship-level specs, such as a stunning 6.3-inch pOLED display, lightning-fast charging speeds, and a seven-year software promise. 

The inclusion of the last-gen Tensor G4 chipset was a bit of a head-scratcher at launch, but the phone still performs as well as any midrange device on the market, and it's likely the reason why Google was able to keep the Pixel 10a at the same price as its predecessor. 

The phone also features a ton of handy AI-boosted software features straight out of the box, and you'll be hard-pressed to find another device with cameras this good in this price range. 

How do I get this T-Mobile deal?

According to T-Mobile, new and existing customers who add a line with "most plans" on the carrier's website will be eligible for the free phone + earbuds deal. This includes T-Mobile's affordable Essentials and Better Value plans, along with the premium Experience More and Experience Beyond tiers. 

What's included with this T-Mobile deal?

Add a line with most plans on T-Mobile's website and you'll get enough promo credits over 24 months to cover the full cost of a Google Pixel 10a AND a pair of Pixel Buds 2A earbuds. 

What's the catch?

Although the retail price of the devices will be covered by T-Mobile, you'll still need to pay the $35 activation fee for the Pixel phone along with any applicable sales tax. Naturally, you'll also need to pay for the wireless plan. These unlimited plans generally start around $50-$60 for a single line, but you can drop that price considerably by using AutoPay or adding multiple lines.

Mint Mobile deals are hardly uncommon, but they're usually limited to simple phone discounts and savings on wireless — until now. For a limited time, the T-Mobile-owned mobile provider will give you a full year of its unlimited wireless plan AND 5G Home Internet coverage for only $45 per month.

The catch is that the "$45 per month" promotion actually means a single payment of $540 upfront, but that's still remarkably cheap when you compare it to other providers. And come on, just imagine dropping a single payment today and not thinking about your phone or internet bill again until 2027. Sounds pretty good, right?

Owned and operated by T-Mobile, Mint Mobile works on a buy-in-bulk plan system that keeps costs down while providing the same great coverage as a Big Three provider. The carrier's Unlimited plan gives you talk, text, and data on T-Mo's vast 5G network, plus you get a mobile hotspot and free calling to Mexico, Canada, and the UK.

Sure, this deal isn't for everyone. Some folks may not want to pay for a full year of service upfront, while others may miss the premium benefits of going with one of the big providers. It's also worth mentioning that both Mint's wireless plans and its 5G home internet are subject to decreased speeds when you reach a certain amount of monthly data usage (50GB for wireless, 1TB for internet), so heavy data users may want to look elsewhere.

That said, if you want to keep things simple and affordable, Mint's deals are some of the best around. And now that you can get your cheap wireless AND home internet covered in one fell swoop, dropping some cash at Mint Mobile has never felt wiser. 

We've seen a lot of great Samsung Galaxy S26 deals since the flagship lineup was revealed last month, but one of the best offers on the phones is about to disappear forever (probably). 

Set to end on April 1st, this T-Mobile deal gets you a FREE Galaxy S26 Ultra when you add a line with the Experience Beyond plan. Knowing T-Mobile, this promotion will probably be replaced by some other deal on the super-powered flagship, but it's unlikely that it will get any better than this — especially if you're looking for an offer that doesn't require a trade-in.

The charging speeds have also been upgraded, and the revamped 200MP main lens is a nice, if somewhat boring, addition to the camera system. 

The most obvious problem with this deal is the plan requirement. Starting at $105 per month for a single line, T-Mobile's Experience Beyond plan certainly isn't cheap. Fortunately, you can drop that price down considerably by adding multiple lines and using AutoPay. 

The plan also comes with a ton of premium benefits to make up for the steep price, such as unlimited talk, text, and premium data, a ton of international benefits, and free subscriptions to Netflix and Hulu. This T-Mobile deal definitely isn't for everyone, but if you want one of the world's most powerful Android phones and you were looking to switch data plans anyway, it's worth checking out before that April 1st end date. 

The Big Spring Sale returns tomorrow, March 25th, but it's unlikely Amazon's discounts will include any major deals on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Instead, if you want to save big on Samsung's best phone, the only realistic way to do it is through your wireless carrier.

The only catch is that you'll need to pay any applicable taxes and the $35 device activation fee, but considering that the phone usually costs $1,300, I'm not about to start complaining.

Of course, the biggest issue with this T-Mobile deal is the carrier's eligibility requirements. Starting at $105/month for a single line, the Experience Beyond plan is simply going to be too expensive for a lot of people. The bright side is that you can lower that price considerably by using AutoPay or adding multiple lines to your account. Adding four lines to the Experience Beyond plan, for example, can drop the price down to as little as $54/month per line.

The Experience Beyond plan also comes with a ton of handy perks that make the steep price worth it, such as unlimited premium data, an unlimited mobile hotspot, and a ton of international benefits. Your plan will even come with free subscriptions to Netflix and Hulu.

Is this deal for everyone? Probably not, but if you want to pair one of the world's best unlimited plans with one of the world's best phones, this is the best way to do it while saving a ton of cash in the process.

Great deals on wireless aren't exactly rare these days, but the offers can get so bogged down with fine print and eligibility requirements that it no longer really feels like winning. This is when straightforward carriers like Metro by T-Mobile really start to shine.

We obviously haven't been able to test the upcoming Samsung phones ourselves, but we've studied enough of the leaks and rumors to have a pretty good idea of what to expect when it comes to the Galaxy S26 Ultra vs the Google Pixel 10 Pro. 

Simply put, it's clear that the Pixel 10 Pro is going to be the Galaxy S26 Ultra's main competition in the world of Android phones. The phone boasts the powerful Tensor G5 chipset with 16GB of RAM straight out of the box, plus you get onboard AI processing and seven years of OS and security upgrades guaranteed. The Pixel 10 series also introduced Qi2 magnetic charging capabilities with support for MagSafe accessories, which is just a nice bonus if you're switching away from Apple for the first time.

Of course, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra isn't going to be a bad phone by any means. It's very likely that the Ultra's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC will perform better than the Pixel's Tensor G5 in most benchmark testing, plus you can expect a lighter build with S Pen stylus support. It's easily going to be one of the best premium phones released in 2026, and it'll come with a premium price tag to match.

The question is whether or not these nitty-gritty spec details matter to you. My point is this: if you want an incredible Android phone with great cameras and a sophisticated design, you don't necessarily need to wait for Samsung's S26 preorder deals to find what you need; the Google Pixel deal of your dreams could be right in front of you. 

It's official: the Google Pixel 10a is set to be revealed this week, but if you don't want to wait, there's a new Pixel 9a deal from T-Mobile that's worth a bit of extra consideration. Just in time for Presidents' Day, you can get last year's midrange masterpiece for FREE by adding a line with  "most T-Mobile plans". No trade-in required and no confusing fine print to worry about.

The obvious catch is that, with the arrival of the next-gen version of the phone set for February 18th, many folks may want to wait and see what Pixel 10a preorder deals become available in the coming days.

Besides, knowing Google, it's unlikely that the upgrade from the Pixel 9a to the 10a is going to be that dramatic, but still: it's a roll of the dice.

The Google Pixel 9a boasts a lovely 6.3-inch pOLED display, Tensor G4 chipset with 8GB of RAM, and a 5,100mAh battery that should easily surpass a full day on a single charge. You also get a bunch of handy Gemini AI features and seven years of guaranteed software support. 

In fact, like I mentioned above, the only reason I wouldn't take advantage of this deal is the fact that we're getting the Pixel 10a this week. The newer phone is likely to receive an upgraded chipset and Android 16, but I wouldn't expect many dramatic improvements beyond that. Preorder deals for the Pixel 10a are likely to include some compelling trade-in opportunities and perhaps a free gift card when you buy unlocked. 

In other words, if you're a big Pixel fans and you want the latest and greatest device from the OEM, wait a few days for the Pixel 10a launch. If, on the other hand, you simply want a great device with a straightforward, no-strings T-Mobile deal, this offer on the Google Pixel 9a is jumping on.

• T-Mobile announces that it's implementing AI into its cellular network, which will begin with a "Live Translation" feature.
• The post states that users can activate and deactivate the feature by dialing *87* and that at least one person needs to be on T-Mobile's network for this to work.
• While this AI feature is said to work with all devices, T-Mobile has started sign-ups for eligible users for the test this spring.

T-Mobile's introducing its users to what it's calling a "smart" network, powered by AI to make daily life a little easier.

Earlier this morning (Feb 11), T-Mobile announced that it's preparing to implement a "real-time" agentic AI platform onto its cellular network for callers. The CEO of T-Mobile, Srini Gopalan, states, "Some of the biggest barriers wireless customers face are the simplest ones — like being able to understand each other." By adding real-time AI services to its cell network, T-Mobile aims to help people connect with the ones they care about.

What T-Mobile is preparing to bring first is real-time translation services when calling on its network. Weaving it into the network, T-Mobile says it solves issues that such services have, such as forcing users to reach for other apps, subscription costs, and more.

The service unveiled Live Translation, a network-native AI feature for its 5G network. The company states that any device connected to its network will be capable of using Live Translation during calls. For specifics, T-Mobile clarifies that only one person needs to have its services to "initiate translation, and translation is instantaneous after activation."

Interested in the beta?

Connecting people across languages is well and good, but T-Mobile states that it wants to show users a little more—so, there's a beta. Eligible T-Mobile customers can begin signing up in hopes of receiving access later this year. The post states early testing access is expected to begin showing up by the spring.

Once this Live Translation test arrives, T-Mobile teases that users can kickstart its translation capabilities by dialing *87* to "activate or deactivate" the AI feature. T-Mobile adds that its AI service can "automatically detect two different languages and translate them in real time." Over 50 languages are reportedly receiving support for Live Translation across more than 215 countries.

T-Mobile encourages interested users to sign up as early as possible, as spaces are limited.

Android Central's Take

It seems like T-Mobile is stepping into the translation services users can receive on Samsung's Galaxy phones and more with this announcement. All I have right now is what's on the surface, which is just T-Mobile's word for how this works. Even the company's short teaser video hypes up how useful this is. One thing that I'm most curious about is latency—if there is any. The speed of real-time translation will undoubtedly be a boon for this feature, as users won't want to awkwardly wait for the network's AI to translate their loved one's phrase.

The new Samsung Galaxy A17 5G literally just hit store shelves on January 7th, but surprise, surprise: you can already grab the budget smartphone for free with this new T-Mobile deal. Simply add a line with "most data plans" and the carrier will give you enough promo credits over 24 months to make the device completely free, no trade-in required. 

With this T-Mobile deal, "most data plans" means that even the carrier's entry-level Essentials plan will land you the free phone, in addition to the more-comprehensive Experience More and Experience Beyond plans. The catch is that you'll still need to pay the $35 activation fee and any applicable taxes on the phone, but that's it!

✅Recommended if: you're planning to switch to T-Mobile on the Essentials plan; you want a reliable Samsung phone with a great display and battery life, but you don't want to pay an arm and a leg. 

❌Skip this deal if: you're interested in one of T-Mobile's more comprehensive unlimited plans; you need a phone with more than 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Generally priced around 200 bucks, the Galaxy A17 5G is the latest in Samsung's A series of affordable smartphones. All in all, it's a reliable device to pair with your new T-Mobile plan. The catch is that I would only recommend grabbing the Galaxy A17 5G if you plan to sign up for the affordable Essentials plan. Just like T-Mobile's postpaid customers, folks who use the Prepaid service will also get access to T-Mobile Tuesday. This unusual perk gives you free stuff and weekly deals on things like gas and restaurants via the T-Life app. 

Sure, T-Mobile Prepaid may not offer the most affordable prepaid phone plans we've ever seen, but they continue to be a great option for folks who want the simplicity of an MVNO with the perks and backing of a Big Three carrier.

Of course, nothing is ever really free with carrier deals, and you'll still need to pay for the service line of each device you claim. What you need to know

• T-Mobile is extending the length of its installment plans to 36 months for select devices.
• Smartwatches and tablets can only be purchased upfront in full or through three-year installment plans.
• For now, smartphones are still sold via 24-month installment plans.

A key perk of buying a phone, watch, or tablet through T-Mobile is the ability to spread device payments over monthly installment plans and earn promotional credits in the process. Notably, while competitors increased the lengths of their installment plans to 36 months, T-Mobile's installments — officially called equipment installment plans (EIPs) — remained at 24 months and 0% interest. Now, it looks like T-Mobile is finally following in its competitors' footsteps, and is launching 36-month installment plans for certain products.

This doesn't come as a major surprise, as T-Mobile mistakenly added 36-month installment plans to its website in June 2025, according to The Mobile Report. Those quickly disappeared and the 24-month terms remained until this weekend, when T-Mobile rolled out 36-month installment plans for smartwatches and tablets. Customers now only have the option of paying for their device in full or choosing a T-Mobile installment plan with a term length of three years.

The updated terms heavily incentives T-Mobile subscribers to remain with the carrier for the length of the installment plan, and avoid upgrading their devices earlier. Like many carriers, T-Mobile entices users to sign up for installment plans by offering credits and promotions that lower the overall cost of a new device. Those "get a new phone on us" deals only apply when you sign up for an installment plan.

Signing up for a T-Mobile installment plan technically doesn't lock you into paying for your phone service for the full three years. However, those promotional device credits are paid out on a monthly basis. That means if you cancel service or need to upgrade your device early, you'll be on the hook for the remaining installment plan balance. In other words, people who buy tablets and smartwatches through T-Mobile installment plans can only upgrade every three years now, as opposed to two, if they want to get all their promotional credits.

The change is yet another occurrence where T-Mobile is caught using tactics it previously mocked competing carriers for employing. Just earlier this month, T-Mobile's consumer group president acknowledged how 36-month installment plans limit upgrades and carrier-switching at the Wells Fargo Summit (via PhoneArena).

The big question is whether T-Mobile's longer installment plans will eventually extend to smartphones. For now, the 36-month term lengths only apply to tablets and smartwatches. If applied to smartphone plans in the future, T-Mobile would lose yet another differentiating factor between it and competitors like AT&T and Verizon.

When it comes to finding the best Black Friday deals, it sure feels like looking for a needle in a haystack. But then there are deals that jump out and make me want to share them with anyone and everyone who will listen, and this Pixel 10 Pro Fold deal that falls in that latter category.

We have no idea when this deal expires, but you can currently get Google's latest foldable for an incredible ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS off. Did I need to scream that? Well, actually, yes. The phone was JUST released in October, and has already earned itself a soft spot with me.

Okay, so what's the catch?

In order to save $1,000 on the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, you'll need to either add a new line, upgrade an existing line, or open an account with T-Mobile. Shocking, I know, but it's just the way the cookie crumbles sometimes. From there, you'll also need to have a phone to trade in, with many recent flagship phones qualifying for the full discount.

However, even if you don't have one of last year's best phones, that doesn't mean you shouldn't at least try to trade in your existing phone. That's because T-Mobile is offering six trade-in promotions at the time of this writing, with savings starting at $500. So you've still got a decent chance of saving a bunch of money on the 10 Pro Fold no matter what.

Reading this, you might be wondering if I'm just being a bit over-the-top about how good this deal is, but that's not entirely the case. Truthfully, I LOVE seeing great deals on my favorite foldable phones, because it immediately squashes one of the most common hurdles that people face: the price.

While Google didn't raise the price of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold over its predecessor, the $1,800 price tag can be a tough pill to swallow, even when the payments are split up and added to your monthly bill. So with this deal, instead of shelling out enough money to cover a month of rent for a one-bedroom apartment somewhere, you're getting a 10 Pro Fold for the price of a Pixel 10!

Going hand in hand with the price hurdle is the concern about durability with foldable phones in general. We can thank Google for this one, as it looks to squash any worries for those considering the 10 Pro Fold, thanks to its IP68 water- and dust-resistance rating.

Frankly, I thought Samsung might've gotten there first with the Galaxy Z Fold 7, especially after removing the S Pen digitizer. Nope! It was Google, although I suspect this will change when Samsung releases the Galaxy Z Fold 8 sometime next year.

To this point, I've been pretty glowing on the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, but even with the improved durability and premium design, it's far from perfect. My biggest complaint has been how it lacks the flagship camera experience you would find with the Pixel 10 Pro XL or Galaxy S25 Ultra.

I mean, Samsung managed to make its foldable thinner than a #2 pencil, but upgraded the primary camera to feature the same 200MP lens as the Galaxy S25 Ultra. You'll find no such luck with the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, and that's just downright disappointing, regardless of how much you spend on this foldable phone.

I was hoping that since Google wasn't going to introduce a completely new redesign, it would at least implement the same sensors as the 10 Pro, but it just wasn't meant to be.

My other issue is definitely a "first-world" problem, but it's that there is some wonky stuff going on with gaming performance on the Tensor G5. Apparently, it has something to do with the GPU drivers, and Google claims those drivers will be updated at some point in time. The downside is that we just don't know when that will be, meaning that it's a tough recommendation if you were excited about the expected gains that were supposed to be introduced with the Tensor G5.

So while it's not perfect, and it might not even be on your radar, we're talking about saving $1,000 on a phone that's only about a month old. Let me put it this way: I was already considering switching from Verizon to T-Mobile, and this deal is so good that it might actually push me over the edge.

T-Mobile's cellular network powers much more than your Android phone's connection.

The company partnered with Major League Baseball earlier this year to support the automatic ball-strike system in Spring Training. T-Mobile partnerships usually end up benefiting its customers, too — it offered a free year of MLB.tv access to customers along with the promo. Now, the Un-Carrier is teaming up with Formula 1 ahead of a big race, and T-Mobile customers will benefit once again.

It's the third year T-Mobile will use its 5G network to provide infrastructure for F1's Las Vegas Grand Prix, which takes place this week between Nov. 20 and Nov. 22. There are new technologies in place this year, like a 360-degree camera and live drone feeds of the race. These cameras use T-Mobile's Advanced Network Solutions (ANS) and a private 5G network to transmit the live feeds in real time.

It's the first commercial deployment of T-Mobile's Edge Control system it announced in October 2025. The tech is intended to "slash latency, costs, and security risk." With it, live streams of the race appearing throughout the onsite event.

Additionally, T-Mobile is hosting a first responder communications via its 5G Standalone network. It's also helping with security by operating a 5G-connected drone that will give local law enforcement aerial views of the event.

The partnership between T-Mobile and F1 delivers a few perks for customers and fans. T-Mobile customers with Magenta Status will get exclusive replay access in the F1 Las Vegas app.

If they're onsite in Las Vegas, T-Mobile customers can bring themselves and two guests to Club Magenta at the T-Mobile Zone at Sphere. The event has track views and live performances throughout the race.

Those that aren't attending in-person can redeem a free T-Mobile X McLaren F1 hat. It's redeemable from anywhere in the T-Life app starting today, Nov. 18, and at participating T-Mobile stores near the race.

My day is generally filled with articles about phones, smartwatches, and tablets, but occasionally I'll find a deal outside of my wheelhouse that I simply can't pass up. The All-In plan is the provider's most expensive offering, and that's how you get the 300 bucks, but the Rely and Amplified plans still land you $100 and $200, respectively. Should I buy the Google Pixel 9a now or wait for Black Friday?

It depends on what you're looking for. When is Black Friday 2025?

Black Friday historically falls on the day after Thanksgiving in the United States, which means the 2025 event is set to occur on November 28th. That sale will be followed by Cyber Monday on December 1st, and you can expect that entire weekend to be packed full of various sale events. 

When does the Google Pixel 10a come out?

We've been following leaks and rumors surrounding the Pixel 10a for months now, and our sources indicate that the latest midrange masterpiece from Google will likely be unveiled in March 2026. This phone will probably boast the same $500 price tag as past A-series Pixel releases, plus it's sure to be equipped with the Tensor G5 chipset, great cameras, and all of the latest AI software features. Is it worth waiting six more months to buy the new Pixel 10a? The choice is yours, but I'd say that the Google Pixel 9a is a worthy investment in the meantime.

If you’ve been cleverly gaming T-Mobile’s AutoPay system to keep your discount and your credit card rewards, your free ride just hit a wall. T-Mobile is officially closing the popular loophole, and the change is effective starting October 24, 2025.

T-Mobile has officially ended a long-standing workaround that allowed some customers to score the $5 per-line AutoPay discount while still paying their bills with a credit card. As reported by The Mobile Report, users who prepay their bills using ineligible payment methods will lose their AutoPay discount for that billing cycle.

The change puts an end to a payment workaround that many savvy subscribers had been using to enjoy both T-Mobile’s monthly discount and credit card perks like cash back or travel points.

Previously, customers could set up AutoPay with a debit card or bank account to qualify for the discount, but then pay their bill early with a credit card. The system would still show an eligible payment method and apply the discount, even though the actual payment did not qualify.

T-Mobile's system now catches you

T-Mobile is now tightening its billing logic to ensure the discount only applies when the actual payment is made with an approved method. The company says customers who prepay their bill partially or in full using a credit card or another unsupported option will automatically forfeit the discount for that month.

The policy has been in place since 2023 when T-Mobile officially excluded credit cards from AutoPay eligibility, but this recent update closes the technical gap that made the loophole possible. Affected customers will start receiving text notifications informing them that their AutoPay discount has been removed for the upcoming billing cycle.

To keep getting the $5 per-line discount, customers must use a debit card or bank account as their payment method and avoid making early payments with a credit card. If you prefer paying with a credit card for the rewards, you’ll need to decide whether those perks are worth giving up the recurring discount.

For families or multi-line plans, losing that $5 per line can quickly add up, potentially costing an extra $20 or more each month, depending on the number of lines on the account, as pointed out by one subscriber on Reddit.

For now, there’s no indication that T-Mobile plans to extend credit card eligibility again, so if you want to keep saving on your bill, sticking with a debit card or bank account is the only way to go.

Prime Day discounts be dominating the headlines, but don't let Amazon's sale distract you from one of the most reliable sources for Google Pixel deals: your phone carrier.

What you need to know

• Rumors claim T-Mobile is looking to fully end its LTE support, as a leaked document states the company is moving toward 5GSA (standalone).
• The leak states T-Mobile will look to fully end LTE support after by 2035; however, speculation states the majority of this phase-out could happen by 2028.
• The document also alleges that T-Mobile will require all devices activated on its network to support 5GSA by January 1, 2026 to prepare for this future.

There are rumors that T-Mobile is looking into the future and setting in stone its plans to retire LTE support on its network in favor of 5G.

This report comes from an apparent leaked document that The Mobile Report got its hands on, which states T-Mobile will "re-farm" LTE to 5G over the "next few years" (via 9to5Google). Specifically, the document the publication reported highlights the "LTE to 5G standalone transition" plans that T-Mobile has, which will reportedly occur over the next "two-plus years."

Regarding "business impact," the alleged T-Mobile plan claims its LTE contracts will not go beyond 2035, as the "LTE network will be maintained" until that year rolls around. It seems T-Mobile is expecting its LTE network to "degrade" as it puts its transition plan into action.

These issues T-Mobile anticipates include a bottleneck on its LTE network, as well as a hit to performance and service quality for phones, tablets, wearables, and more for LTE and 5G NSA (non-standalone) devices. This is also likely due to T-Mobile seemingly only looking to keep a sole 5MHz LTE channel available to the last remaining vestiges of LTE devices.

As T-Mobile moves into its 5G-only future, it states that by January 1, 2026, devices activated for its network should be 5GSA (standalone) capable, so there's no issue once its LTE spectrum is gone. Going by this report (and document), the publication assumes most of T-Mobile's transition to 5G-only will be done by 2028.

A Change in Service

While the root of this report is that T-Mobile is looking to finally phase out LTE support, as the publication notes, this isn't likely to affect most consumers. Devices nowadays are already capable of that 5G future, so shifting LTE out shouldn't really cause a disturbance. We'll have to see where things go with T-Mobile, such as more confirmed information from the service.

In the name of "exciting" service updates, T-Mobile's T-Satellite network recently made an announcement regarding "Satellite-ready" apps for your phone. The T-Satellite network enables users to remain in contact with the world even without a cell connection, as it uses satellites to do its work. Now, the company is extending that support to apps users frequently use, like WhatsApp, X (Formerly Twitter), AccuWeather, and more.

Users can still check in on social media and make posts on X without a standard cell signal. For WhatsApp, users can text, send pictures, and make regular calls and video calls all on its satellite network. Satellite-ready app access started rolling out to Android and iOS devices on T-Mobile's T-Satellite network on October 1.

T-Mobile's announcing an expansion of its satellite connectivity services for enrolled users, and this new update says you can bring your apps with you.

Announced via a press release this morning (Oct 1), T-Mobile says its "power apps" with its T-Satellite service, so your "favorite" apps come with you when you're off-grid. The president of marketing, innovations, and experience at T-Mobile, Mike Katz, said, "The response from the first two months of T-Satellite commercial service has blown us away. We started with just text messaging and text-to-911, and those capabilities alone have proven to be invaluable for wireless users."

Katz adds that the company is now looking to bring those same valuable connectivity experiences to users' favorite apps.

As a result, T-Mobile announced a new selection of "Satellite-ready apps" that have received support for satellite connectivity over its network. The following apps are now Satellite-ready over T-Mobile:

• X (formerly Twitter)

Off-grid and stress free

When it comes to X, T-Mobile states its satellite connectivity network will keep you involved with the social media platform if you lose your cellular connection. Users can view posts, videos, GIFs, and more through T-Satellite. Additionally, users can "control when high-res media loads" to avoid overusing their data. For WhatsApp, T-Satellite customers can now start voice and video calls anywhere without a cell connection. Texting, sending pictures, and the like are possible, too.

Access to these apps for T-Satellite customers is rolling out for Android and iOS users today (Oct 1).

Consumers on T-Mobile business plans will find T-Satellite support for apps like DialPad, FLORIAN, MultiLine, and T-Mobile Direct Connect.

The press release to Android Central earlier today states, "T-Satellite is included on T-Mobile’s best plans and available to all other wireless users — even Verizon and AT&T customers — for $10/month."

T-Mobile's "Satellite-ready" apps are essentially getting an expansion with this update. When the satellite service first launched, the company supported off-grid use for apps like Google Messages, Find Hub, Pixel Weather, Apple Music, Weather, Fitness, Samsung's Weather app, and more. You could probably see those apps as more like the "core" of the matter, and what's rolling out now is an expansion of that sentiment.

T-Mobile launched its T-Satellite service on July 23 after an extensive testing period in which roughly 1.8 million users joined to help polish. Also in July, T-Mobile started roping in Samsung and Motorola users into its off-grid services with MMS texting support. Users without a signal could still send images, GIFS, and audio clips for certain devices at the time.
