This year's Amazon Prime Day is set to run from June 23rd through June 26th. The four-day sale event kicked off on Tuesday at 12:01am PDT and will end on Friday at 11:59pm PDT.

The vast majority of Prime Day deals are only be available to Amazon Prime members. I enjoy traveling a lot (I'm in Bali right now), and while I like visiting new countries, getting there is often a hassle. There are plenty of annoyances with modern-day plane travel; constant noise, inevitable delays, and seats that are designed to never be comfortable.

While you can't do anything about the seats, there is an easy fix to ensure your flight is at least tolerable: a good pair of headphones. Investing in a good noise-canceling headphone is one of the best travel decisions I made when I started flying regularly a decade ago, and if you're set to travel this summer, you should consider doing the same.

That's an all-time low price, and honestly, this is one of the best Prime Day deals I've seen in a while.

✅Recommended if: you want great sound quality, a lightweight design, and excellent noise isolation.

❌Skip this deal if: you need a foldable hinge system. While Sony reintroduced the hinge with the WH-1000XM6, the XM5 misses out on that.

The WH-1000XM5 may be a few years old, but you don't feel that when using the headset. The design is nearly identical to the WH-1000XM6, and the only difference with the newer model is that it has a foldable hinge that makes it easier to stow away in a bag — that's it. The WH-1000XM5 is still pretty good in this area, but it doesn't fold inward. Other than that limitation, I don't see any changes with the design.

The sound quality is obviously great, and the 30mm drivers deliver a warm and vibrant sound with engaging bass, clean mids, and a tight treble. The headphones are designed to be used with any genre, and if you don't quite like Sony's custom tuning, there's always the ability to tweak the EQ, or use a tool like Wavelet to get the best sound out of the XM5.

Other niceties include fast charging, so you get around three hours of music listening time with just a 10-minute charge. On that note, the WH-1000XM5 lasts just under 30 hours on a full charge, so you don't need to charge these more than once a week on average.

You can also configure 360-degree sound, adjust gesture controls, and change modes by using Sony's Sound Connect app. Another plus point is the noise isolation; the WH-1000XM5 does a brilliant job in this area, and it makes traveling or working out of a noisy cafe that much more enjoyable.

There's the standard LDAC codec in addition to SBC and AAC, so if you want to listen to lossless music, the WH-1000XM5 is a pretty good choice. The one annoyance is the water resistance; the WH-1000XM5 doesn't have any dust or water resistance, so you can't really use the headset at the gym or while running outdoors.

Ultimately, the WH-1000XM5 continues to be a great overall choice, and with the deal bringing it down to just $198, you don't want to miss out if you're looking to get a solid travel headset this year.

I've been using the Pixel 10 on and off since it launched last year. While I've been pleased with previous base model Pixels, the Pixel 10 is by far the best Google has produced. Sure, this portable storage device was cheaper before the current crisis began, but as the global memory shortage is showing no signs of stopping any time soon, I'll take any discount I can get. Think about it this way: this Amazon deal gets you 1TB of storage for about $0.19 per gigabyte. Doesn't sound too bad, does it?

The Samsung T7 series has been around for a while, offering users read and write speeds of up to 1,050MB/s and 1,000MB/s, respectively, alongside high-end encryption and enough power to record high-res 4K video directly on the device. 

That being said, the main selling point for the Samsung T7 SSD is its portability. Weighing less than a pound and small enough to fit into a coat pocket, the T7 is the perfect choice for photographers, content creators, and travelers who need an external storage solution on the go. 

Constructed from shock-resistant aluminum, the external SSD has also been drop-tested from up to six feet in height, and you even get a three year limited warranty in case something does go wrong.

• Amazon announced a few "visual search" upgrades headed to its app, and the main event involves AI-generated images based on what the user types.
• This feature will rely on your provided color, texture, and pattern descriptions, but every word added changes what the AI "creates."
• Amazon has rolled out AI features before, such as "help me decide," which leverages its AI to find real "Top Pick" or budget-friendly products.

(Update: 6/5 3:20 pm ET): Amazon is clearing the air about tis AI-generated images while shoppers search for products in the app.

A representative from Amazon's Shopping PR team reached out to Android Central to offer deeper insights about this feature. According to the representative, the AI images shoppers see are simply "visual representations of the keywords customers are typing." This is meant to help guide them whilst they search before tapping to find true products in the realm of what they're looking for.

Amazon says that if you're looking for, say, a rug, the app might give very basic results. However, using your "visual cues," you can narrow things down. Shoppers can add specific colors like "blue and cream" and say that the rug was "round." The AI-generated image is like an extension of what you're thinking in this scenario before diving into the product results.

What's more, the Amazon Shopping PR team says there are labels in place to inform users about these images. Shoppers will find "AI image" beneath the search bar, so they know that what they're currently seeing is based on their descriptions, not an actual product. Moreover, the app will tell users that they can "Find products that look like these AI images" before tapping an image that best fits what they're looking for.

Amazon is rolling out a few search updates in its shopping app, and the main highlight is questionable.

This week, Amazon announced a series of "visual search" features headed to its app, and what's got us furrowing our brows is its use of AI. Amazon states that it will use AI-generated images to help users find items they're unfamiliar with. Its official statement reads, "Now, as customers search for products using descriptive language—like color, texture, or pattern—AI-generated images instantly take shape in the suggestions below the search bar."

What's more, it says that, as users type their description, the images will "shift and refine" with each added word. This is where the visual aspect of these updates comes into play, as users might've seen an item before but never had a chance to find its true name. Your descriptions will matter, but it affects the AI's interpretation of what you're talking about, not necessarily the product itself.

Another AI-generated feature that Amazon's rolling out is "Shop by style." This is intended to be AI-curated collages of products after you've searched for something broad like "women's silk shirt," as Amazon states. Its AI will take that and compile different styles of silk shirts into categories. Shoppers can find shirts that fit more of a business theme or a party theme and more.

Amazon Lens Live comes into play, allowing shoppers to use their cameras to ask about products and find them in the app. It's awfully similar to how Gemini Live works today. Elsewhere, the company is rolling out "circle to search." Similar to Google's version, users curious about a product in an image can highlight (or circle) it for Amazon Lens' AI to find it for them.

Amazon's AI has been helpful before

Amazon has rolled out AI-fueled features in the past for its shopping experience, but never quite like what's highlighted today. Late last year, the company introduced "Help me decide." This feature was designed to leverage a user's search history and product preferences to produce "Top Pick," "Budget Pick," and "Upgrade Pick." These categories are pretty straightforward. Some are at the top of the industry (likely pricey), while others are more affordable or something to step up what you already have.

The main difference here is that Amazon's new AI-generated path is trying to create an "image" of what you're searching for to guide you toward listed products.

It's time to get your wishlists ready, as Amazon has finally revealed the dates for Prime Day 2026.

Amazon has now confirmed Prime Day 2026 will run from June 23 through June 26, which means we're now just a few weeks away from one of the biggest shopping events of the year. Interestingly, Amazon is also hosting Prime Day earlier than usual.

In previous years, the event typically took place in July, but this year it's arriving in June instead. That's likely because Amazon wanted to avoid overlapping with major events like the FIFA World Cup and the 250th anniversary of U.S. Independence Day.

As always, there will be plenty of deals across categories. Amazon says shoppers can expect discounts of up to 40% on smart TVs, up to 40% off select laptops from Asus and HP, and deals on some of the best Android phones.

If you're into health and fitness tech, there could also be discounts on devices like the Fitbit Air and various smartwatches. And, of course, Amazon's own products, including Echo Show devices, Fire TV products, and the Kindle lineup, are expected to be heavily discounted as well.

As usual, you'll need an Amazon Prime membership to access Prime Day deals. Amazon says the event kicks off at 12:01 a.m. PDT on June 23 and runs through June 26.

If I am being completely honest, this is probably one of the years where I'd seriously consider picking up tech during Prime Day. Prices across the industry have been steadily increasing lately, and it doesn't really look like things are getting cheaper anytime soon.

If Amazon delivers the kind of discounts it's promising, Prime Day 2026 could end up being one of the better opportunities to save on tech this year.

The current RAM crisis isn't going away any time soon, but if you're looking for a deal on a portable storage device today, you're in luck. At this very moment, Amazon is carving 13% off the 1TB T9 SSD by Samsung, knocking the price down to $249.99 for a limited time. That amounts to around $0.25 per gig!

This compact SSD comes with 1TB of storage capacity, lightning-fast transfer speeds, and an advanced thermal cooling system that eliminates any risk of overheating with heavy use. Sure, that $250 price point is still more expensive than the SSD was a year ago, but given the price gouging we've been seeing on storage devices lately, any discount is worth celebrating.

In addition to 1TB of storage capacity, the T9 solid-state drive (SSD) by Samsung delivers transfer speeds of up to 2,000MB/s, AES 256-bit hardware encryption, and a durable build that can withstand drops from up to 9.8 feet in height. Oh, and did I mention that it fits in the palm of your hand?

If you need even more storage, it's also worth mentioning that the 2TB and 4TB configurations of the device are also 17% off and 30% off, respectively, so you can take your pick.

Sure, if you need a comprehensive storage solution that shares across multiple devices, a NAS server might be a better fit, but if you need a portable device that you can take with your wherever you go, the T9 by Samsung is one of the best options around.

With Prime Day 2026 just around the corner, this Amazon discount might suggest that more storage deals are on the way. Will the T9 SSD get even cheaper when Amazon's big sale formally goes live later this month? Only time will tell, but I certainly wouldn't blame you for jumping on the current deal while it's active.

Prime Day 2026 is likely just weeks away, but you don't need to wait to score an incredible Garmin watch deal at Amazon. For a (very) limited time, the retailer is slashing a whopping 50% off the Garmin epix Pro (Gen 2), a last-gen smartwatch that still impresses with rugged durability and premium specs. 

Garmin watches are famous for their health and fitness tracking capabilities, but deals on the rugged wearables can be few and far between. Considering that the epix Pro Gen 2 generally retails for around $999.99, this $500 price drop should turn a lot of heads as we drift into the month of June. The discount certainly won't last forever, so act fast if you're interested!

The powerful Garmin epix Pro (Gen 2) just landed a 50% discount at Amazon

Straight out of the box, the rugged fitness watch boasts a brilliant 1.3-inch AMOLED display with a scratch-resistance lens and titanium bezel, while under the hood you get a bounty of health and fitness tracking features powered by Garmin. This includes the latest Elevate v5 sensors for ultra-accurate HR and ECG readings, plus endurance score, Garmin coach, and a ton of pre-installed activity modes.

The epix Pro (Gen 2) also comes with multi-band GPS tracking, a built-in LED flashlight, and up to 16 days of battery life on a single charge. Garmin's epix series may technically be obsolete now that the Fenix 8 has come along, but if you don't want to shell out 1,000 bucks for a smartwatch, this Amazon deal is a great way to get the premium Garmin experience without paying the premium Garmin price.

This is the first time that the Garmin epix Pro (Gen 2) has dropped to $499.99 since last year, so if you need a new watch ASAP, I wouldn't wait too long to make your move. That being said, Prime Day is likely just around the corner, so if you miss this deal, you can always wait for Amazon's big summer sale to go live. 

What you need to know

• Motorola was accused of slipping an affiliate link to users' Amazon purchases when using the app, discovered on its recent 2026 foldables.
• Another report states that the company would briefly throw users into a fake website link (and use a false affiliate code) from a real fashion influencer who utilizes neither.
• Motorola delivered a statement to Android Central, stating that this issue was "unintended" and that it has worked "quickly" to resolve it.

There's been some questionable activity from Motorola recently regarding its interactions with your Amazon purchases.

This issue was first reported on the Android subreddit by a user with a Razr Ultra 2026. According to their report, the pre-installed "Smart Feed" app supposedly slips into shopping apps to "steal affiliate revenue" (via TechRadar). In practice, the user states that opening the Amazon app on their phone would "instead open the browser and send me to some sketchy looking url, which then redirects to amazon.com with an affiliate code."

It gets even stranger when the user states they went through their device's network traffic and found that Motorola was constantly pinging "devicenative.com." It's under the assumption that Motorola relied on Device Native for this process. Slipping in an affiliate link would award Moto a cut of your Amazon purchase, even though you have never interacted with an official or appropriate affiliate link from the company. It's worth noting that it's not confirmed if this affiliate link was offering a cut to Motorola (which only makes this weirder).

A post by 9to5Google went into more detail, stating the redirect link that would briefly appear in Chrome before your Amazon app sent users to a fake website for a fashion influencer. The publication says that not only does the influencer not list this website on any of their pages, but their affiliate code doesn't line up, either.

Android Central reached out to Motorola about this issue. The company delivered the following statement:

This is a curious issue

It's interesting to say the least that this was a function of the Smart Feed app to begin with—and never caught beforehand. Regardless, much like our friends at TechRadar, we're also getting strong flashbacks to what Honey's Chrome extension did. You might've seen Honey mentioned everywhere before. Nowadays? Not so much. The platform was caught in some shady affiliate link dealings. During purchases, it would quietly swap out affiliate links from reputable creators and influencers for its own codes.

This would slide over a cut of the purchase to Honey, instead of where it should've gone. Since then, Google has severely cracked down on shopping extensions available for Chrome. The company tightened its rules and banned the possibility for shopping extensions to add their own affiliate links or mess with your shopping cookies.

Android Central's Take

I think we're all thinking the same thing right now. Motorola's response to this is... timely. It was quick to "rectify" this issue that users have experienced with its app and the Amazon app. The entire situation is weird, though. I'm not entirely sure this will be the end of it, considering how big of a mess this has become. It's clashed terribly with users online, and information like this only makes more people raise a brow.

The latest rumors have suggested that Prime Day 2026 will occur some time in late June, but if you don't want to wait, I just uncovered a Sony headphones deal that might make Amazon's big sale completely unnecessary.

Before I start comparing the two phones, it's worth judging the Motorola Razr Ultra (2025) on its own merits. As far as overall bang for the buck is concerned, you can't really do much better than last year's Ultra. The clamshell device still impresses with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and 16GB of RAM, plus you get a titanium reinforced hinge, all-day battery life, and 512GB of battery life straight out of the box.

The 2026 version of the Razr Ultra upgrades the battery life and camera tech, but that's pretty much it. There's no new chip, the displays are largely identical, and you don't get any added software support. They're both great phones, to be sure, but unless you're an avid Motorola enthusiast or money isn't an object, there's really no reason to go with the 2026 model over last year's version.

That said, there is one more thing to consider. The fact that Motorola increased the price of the Ultra by $200 likely isn't sitting well with consumers, so I wouldn't be surprised if the company decided to discount the phone (and the rest of the 2026 Razr lineup, for that matter) during the upcoming summer sale season. Prime Day 2026 is just around the corner, after all, and you never know what Amazon discounts lay ahead.

This year's Memorial Day Weekend tablet deals are live, and this one's a great pick for those who need a tablet with a stylus. Right now, Amazon is offering $200 off the price of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Plus, representing a 20% discount and bringing it down to just $800.

The Galaxy Tab S10 Plus is our pick for the overall best Samsung tablet on the market, especially for those who are in search of a stylus-tablet bundle. For example, Amazon has launched a limited-time discount of 43% off on the Anker Soundcore Q20i headphones, bringing their price down to just $40.

The Q20i headphones go on sale somewhat regularly, which makes them a nice pick for anyone with a budget around this price point.

While buyers shouldn't expect them to offer premium-level audio quality, they do still feature active noise cancellation, compatibility with high-res audio codecs, mobile app customization, and a long-lasting battery. The Beats Studio Buds Plus offered some key improvements upon previous generations, namely including better compatibility with Android devices, and an upgraded active noise cancellation profile. They also sport a long-lasting battery, high-quality calling, and an overall comfortable fit.

They also come at a cheaper normal price point than many premium-level earbuds, while still boasting a pretty powerful audio profile.

This particular deal is available for the buds in all three of the device's available color combos: Black and Gold, Ivory, and my personal favorite, Transparent.

✅Recommended if: you're looking for a powerful set of earbuds with high-quality audio, high-resolution listening, and a long-lasting battery, but you'd prefer to keep the budget around $100; you want a pair of earbuds that is comfortable and will effectively help mute your surroundings; you need a pair of earbuds with reliable, user-friendly button controls for playback and volume.

❌Skip this deal if: you'd rather upgrade to some of the best wireless earbuds on the market, and you have the budget to do so without scoring a big deal; you need earbuds with their own built-in EQ capabilities, rather than just using those on your device; you're looking for earbuds with wireless charging.

The Beats Studio Buds Plus are well-liked for a number of reasons, but especially for their high-quality audio profile, their powerful ANC mode, their long-lasting battery, and the cool colorway options that offer something unique for everybody.

Beats says these will offer users up to nine hours of battery life without ANC, or up to seven hours with the mode activated. The case offers users up to three charges when fully charged itself, while five-minute charging sessions will yield about an hour of playback.

To be sure, these don't include built-in EQ options, which is a feature that many prefer. However, given that most devices today have their own EQ options, this may not be such a dealbreaker for casual users.

Cheap Pixel phones come around every so often, especially if you can scope retailers out for some of their biggest price cuts. For example, Amazon is offering the Obsidian-colored Google Pixel 9 at a 44% discount right now, marking the phone's lowest price ever recorded. To be sure, the deal is for a limited time though, so it's best to act fast if you hope to catch this one.

The Google Pixel 9 has a well-liked compact form factor, a wide range of AI features, a powerful set of cameras, and speedy performance that makes it fun to use. It also came with a number of well-thought-out improvements from the previous generation, inching it towards a more "Pro" type experience.

This particular discount is for the Obsidian version of the phone, though Amazon is also offering a small discount on the Porcelain and Wintergreen versions. Still, don't expect to save quite as much on those color options.

While it isn't quite as powerful as Google's premium-level phones, the price cut makes it look pretty appealing, and you won't need a subscription to access some of the phone's most exciting features.

✅Recommended if: you're looking to save a good amount of money on what is otherwise essentially a solid flagship phone in a compact housing; you're looking for a phone with AI features such as voice transcription, content summaries, and image editing and generation; you want something that's going to walk the walk when it comes to performance speeds.

❌Skip this deal if: you need a phone with fast charging speeds; you'd prefer to go with a different color than the one featured in this discount; you need a phone with more camera capabilities, and preferably including things like a telephoto lens and Pro-level Pixel camera control.

The Google Pixel 9 is a powerful phone just below the Pro capabilities of the brand's premium options. Its performance speeds are backed by an upgraded Google Tensor G4 chipset, as well as 12GB of RAM for optimal multitasking capabilities. It sports a 6.3-inch Actua display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which many like for its slightly smaller overall size than Google's Pro phones.

While we didn't love that the base-level phone comes with only 128GB of storage, that's still plenty for most casual users. It also comes with a 50MP rear camera, a 48MP wide-angle lens, and a 10.5MP selfie lens with auto-focus and high-res recording.

All in all, this is a pretty solid pick if you're ready to pull the trigger on a Pixel phone upgrade.

What you need to know

• Amazon's head of devices and services, Panos Panay, had an interview with the Financial Times, where he briefly touched on those Amazon Phone rumors.
• It was stated that a phone isn't exactly the goal for Amazon right now; however, Panay didn't exactly give a firm "no" to the idea, stating it might be "misleading."
• Rumors from March claimed that Amazon could be seeking a smartphone do-over under the "Transformer" project.

An Amazon executive had an interview this week to discuss the future of its devices, and it might've soured any smartphone hopes.

A Financial Times interview with Amazon's head of devices and services, Panos Panay, shed some light on those "Transformer Project" rumors. A great deal of this interview with Panay covered Alexa, the company's AI, and how it could be implemented meaningfully. In the home, Panay discussed one area: simplicity was needed there, but then came the topic of a potential Amazon Phone, or the resurrection of the Fire Phone.

The publication asked, "What sort of device will you come forward with? Will it be a phone?" This generated quite the response from the Amazon exec, who said, "Here’s what I’d say: it’s just not the goal. I know there’s a lot of rumours out there."

Panay doesn't believe that the phone is going anywhere, but says that it is going through "transformations" lasting upward of a decade. However, Panay didn't want to definitely say "no" to the question of whether or not Amazon is chasing a phone. A follow-up response reads, "If I black and white say no, I would say that was accurate. But I also think it’s misleading."

There seem to be two factors here. The first concerns competition in the smartphone market. The Financial Times brought up Apple's iPhone, basically asking if someone would trade their iPhone for an Amazon Phone. This brought about a storied response from Panay, who said, "You’re bringing up a lot of the past," as the Fire Phone didn't really make a splash when it debuted over ten years ago.

Nothing's really certain

The second factor is how Panay feels about delivering yet another phone. He says, "What I won’t ever do again is [go to the customer and say] here’s another phone. What do you think? There’s no point. We know what customers need right now." Curiously, the publication asked if Amazon would be interested in a "light phone" to accommodate certain services. Panay seemed open to the idea, but also said it's "not a focus today."

Rumors in March claimed that Amazon was chasing another smartphone era under the "Transformer" project. Details were incredibly light, with the only substance shining through being that the device could lean heavily on AI, as a "voice-driven" device for ordering food, shopping, and more. This last question by the Financial Times is interesting, considering the Light Phone (by Light) was mentioned in those rumors.

Supposedly, Amazon was looking at this type of device for inspiration. It would've stripped away the more distracting things, like social media apps, games, what have you, for the basics. We're caught in a weird limbo right now with these Amazon Phone rumors, so it's probably best to wait and see what happens (if anything ever does).

Android Central's Take

This is a funny interview when you get down to it. I only say that because of the reference to Apple's iPhone. I have to imagine if Amazon debuted a phone today. Let's say there was a press release, we covered it, and it's out next week or whatever. How many people would chase this phone? I'm not talking tech enthusiasts and publications that want to report on it. I mean real people. The consumers. A person such as yourself reading me yap. That's difference maker here. I think, and it looks like Amazon sees this to, that those are the people they need to capture. If they don't, why do it?

May smart display deals are officially here, and this next entry is a great option for those in need of a speaker, display, and home control hub all in one. Amazon's Echo Show 11 just got a 23% price drop, marking $50 off the normal purchase price.

The Echo Show 11 includes an 11-inch, Full HD display, an improved spatial audio speaker, and an auto-framing selfie camera for all your video call needs. It's compatible with a wide range of smart home products using Alexa voice assistant, making it easy to control lights, doorbell cameras, thermostats, and still others. It also utilizes Omnisense technology, which intuitively helps create device routines using factors like presence, temperature, visual ID detection, and other smart features.

The Amazon Echo Show 11 sports many of the needs of the modern smart home user, from controlling thermostats and doorbell cameras to lighting and more. As with all of the best Amazon Echo Show models, the Echo Show 11 comes with seamless compatibility across Alexa smart home devices, and Amazon also upgraded this generation's speaker to include twice as much bass as the 2023 Echo Show 8.

It's worth noting that this particular Echo Show doesn't come with the Fire TV platform built in, and streaming services beyond Prime Video and Netflix will need to be used through a browser. If you do prefer using those natively in-app, you'll want to upgrade to the Echo Show 15 or 21 models.

Still, it's not a bad pick as primarily a smart hub, and it strikes a nice balance in size for the kitchen countertop or elsewhere.

OnePlus deals don't come around very often, so even the smallest discounts on these eye-catching smartphones deserve a bit of attention. The OnePlus 15R, for example, is currently chilling with a $100 price drop at Amazon, knocking the price of the 512GB phone down to $699.99. 

That may not seem like a major discount, but it's actually the largest price drop that the unlocked device has ever received through the retailer. Is the phone worth it? How does it compare to the standard OnePlus 15? Let's discuss.

Just like the standard OnePlus 15, the OnePlus 15R has a bunch of premium specs that should turn heads, such as a powerful Snapdragon chipset, vibrant 6.8-inch AMOLED display, and IP68/IP69 water-and-dust resistance. The main selling point, however, is the phone's gargantuan 7,400mAh battery, an upgrade that should give the OnePlus 15R up to two days on a single charge. 

That being said, the OnePlus 15R is far from perfect. The cameras are pretty underwhelming and lack a telephoto lens, overheating can be a problem with graphics-intensive games, and if that wasn't frustrating enough, OnePlus decided to increase the price of the phone by $100. In other words, this Amazon deal is basically just offsetting a price hike. 

Still, the OnePlus 15R is a great device if you value long-lasting battery life and don't play a ton of Android games, but I would only pick it up if you can't afford the OnePlus 15. Starting at $899.99 for the 256GB version, this flagship is better than the 15R in every way aside from battery life, and while it doesn't get discounted very often, it's worth noting that Prime Day 2026 is just around the corner. The choice is yours.

Getting a good wireless earbuds deal doesn't have to be a workout, especially when Amazon discounts like this are floating around. For a limited time, the retailer is chopping 20% off the price of our favorite workout earbuds, the Beats Powerbeats Pro 2.

Let’s be honest: there’s a lot of junk on Amazon. If you type “cheap smartwatch” into the search bar at any given time, the retailer will show you dozens of listings from obscure manufacturers and dodgy devices that I wouldn’t wear on my wrist if you paid me to do it. 

Of course, that doesn’t mean there aren’t diamonds in the rough, and if you want a smartwatch for less than 60 bucks, there’s really only one device to consider. The CMF Watch Pro 2 by Nothing is a straightforward Android smartwatch with an AMOLED display and a few surprising features, and thanks to a 38% discount, it's just $49 at Amazon today.

The Fenix 8 is easily one of the the best fitness watches that Garmin has ever built, but this powerful wearable doesn't come cheap. Fortunately, Amazon is carving a straight $250 off the 47mm version of the watch for a limited time, knocking the price down to $749.99. That's a 25% discount, and one of the few price drops we've seen on the wearable this year.  

Whether you're trying to track your daily runs, monitor your health, or voyage into the great outdoors for an extended period of time, the Garmin Fenix 8 is the ideal companion. The problem is that discounts on the device are few and far between, so I wouldn't wait too long if you're interested.

Garmin took the "everything but the kitchen sink" approach with the Fenix 8, packing all of the best features from across its smartwatch lineup into one premium device. The watch boasts all of the ultra-accurate health sensors you'd expect from the brand, including HRM, SpO2, ECG, and skin temp, plus some premium features that may surprise you, like the built-in LED flashlight and AMOLED display.

Despite a buggy launch, the Garmin Fenix 8 now impresses on the software front as well, with a ton of useful training insights, pre-installed activity modes, and customizable daily fitness reports. Of course, no wearable is perfect. This discount means that the Razr Ultra (2025) is now $800 cheaper than the upcoming 2026 version. Considering the two flip phones side by side, is there any universe in which the Razr Ultra (2026) can justify that difference in price? Let's discuss.

The Motorola Razr Ultra (2025) first hit the scene last year as a dream device for flip phone lovers, coming complete with a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, 16GB of RAM, and two pOLED displays with a sturdy folding hinge. Of course, the big question is whether the 2026 Razr Ultra (set for release on May 21st) is going to be dramatically better than its predecessor. What you need to know

• A lawsuit was filed recently, alleging Amazon has engaged in "software tethering," which causes a device's core functions to diminish if support runs out.
• The plaintiff behind this lawsuit says they were forced to purchase an entirely new Fire TV Stick in 2024 after their first in 2018, stating Amazon can "shorten" a device's lifespan at will.
• Further comments about this lawsuit have yet to be made.

Amazon is reportedly on the receiving end of a class action lawsuit in April regarding its older Fire TV Sticks and their performance.

Highlighted by Top Class Action, the lawsuit alleges Amazon has engaged in "software tethering," meaning when software support is cut, so too will the Fire TV Stick first and second-gen products (via CNET). Adding to this, the lawsuit says that Amazon has it within its control to "limit or discontinue" features after purchase. It argues that this can diminish the Fire TV Stick's overall functionality.

The driving force behind this lawsuit is plaintiff Bill Merewhuader. The plaintiff argues that not only did Amazon "limit" its product's performance, but it failed to mention that its product's functionality could "be eliminated" before the end of its "useful life." As a result, Merewhuader states their device slowed dramatically and ultimately became "inoperable." After purchasing a Fire TV Stick 2nd-Gen in 2018, Merewhuader says they were forced to purchase another iteration in 2024 after the previous "became unusable."

At this time, the lawsuit reportedly seeks to force Amazon to submit compensation to all consumers affected by the sudden downgrade in Fire TV Stick first and second-gen models. As CNET mentions, older (such as first-gen models) degrade/age over time, causing them to slow down or have lackluster functionality. It's unclear how this lawsuit will shake out between the plaintiff and Amazon right now.

Android Central has reached out to Amazon about this lawsuit and will update this article if we hear back.

Where to go from here?

It is interesting to see where this goes, as the plaintiff suggests that the devices themselves didn't fall apart, but rather something under the hood caused them to falter far sooner than one would expect.

While we wait to see what happens with this lawsuit, earlier this year, Amazon laid off 16,000 employees in another grueling wave. This came only a few months after the company let go of 14,000 people in October 2025. Shortly after, it was said by Amazon's Beth Galetti that these layoffs would "not become a regular occurrence." Despite Galetti's words, Amazon has a history of large layoffs, such as the wave of 10,000 jobs lost in 2022 around the holidays and 18,000 roles cut back in 2018.

Also, late last year, Amazon started cracking down on piracy apps in Fire TV, even the ones users sideloaded. It said that it intends to "protect both media creators and users from malware and fraudulent apps." Such restrictions had already started rolling out in France and Germany; however, it has since expanded globally.

The weather is warming up and summer is just around the corner, which means right now is the perfect time to find a discount on a Garmin fitness watch. I was just digging around Amazon's site to find the latest of these deals, and one particular price drop caught my eye: the Forerunner 165, which is Android Central's favorite affordable Garmin watch, has dropped down to $199.99 for a limited time. That's a 20% discount, no strings attached!

Shopping for unlocked devices is often to best way to find a good smartphone deal with very few strings attached. For example, Amazon has chopped the price of the Google Pixel 10 by 31%, bringing the powerful phone back to its lowest price ever.

This particular deal is for the entry-level 128GB configuration of the phone, though you can also upgrade to 256GB. Additionally, the deal is available for the phone in the Indigo, Lemongrass, and Frost colors.

While it narrowly missed being included on the actual list, the Pixel 10 is on our honorable mentions of the best Android phones index. This is in part due to its ease of use, a wide range of helpful AI features, and a long-term software update promise that makes it worth holding onto for a while.

✅Recommended if: you're looking for a great Pixel phone and you'd prefer to keep your budget around $550; battery life is super important to you when it comes to getting a new phone; you like having a user-friendly experience in general, as well as added AI and software features.

❌Skip this deal if: you have the budget to upgrade to the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, which is our favorite phone for parents, pet parents, or anyone taking a lot of pictures; you'd prefer to go with a flagship from the Samsung Galaxy or OnePlus lineups; you don't want a phone that throttles battery after 200 cycles.

The Google Pixel 10 is among our favorite phones out there as a powerhouse, boasting excellent cameras, AI features, haptics, and a long-term software promise. The phone has a 6.3-inch Actua OLED display with a variable 60 to 120Hz refresh rate. As for cameras, it comes with a 48MP main lens with macro focus, a 13MP Ultrawide lens, and a 10.5MP front-facing camera. There's no shortage of processing power with the Google Tensor G5, and the 12GB of RAM offers great multi-tasking capabilities. Plus, it boasts an upgraded battery from the Pixel 9, easily reaching a full days' worth of battery life.

Those in search of cheap smart glasses won't find much, unless you're cool waiting for a discount to hit or going last-generation. Luckily, Amazon is offering both by chopping 25% off the price of these first-gen Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses. While the 25% discount is available across lens and Wayfarer colors, the lowest price points come with just a few of the model options.

To be clear, these aren't AR or XR glasses, so they don't feature the built-in HUD displays that can be found on some of those models. They do include tons of AI features and a lot of great hands-free functions, however, and the Meta Gen 1 glasses are fairly similar to the newer-generation versions, albeit with a cheaper price tag.

The first-gen Meta smart glasses still come with ultra-wide camera lenses and high-res photo capabilities, along with two open-ear speakers and IPX4 ingress protection. All that to say, they're a little easier sell at $224 than at $299.

✅Recommended if: you're in the market for some highly capable smart glasses but you want to save money; you want a pair of smart glasses with lots of storage for photos and videos; you'd rather save money going last-gen than purchase the new second-gen version of these glasses.

❌Skip this deal if: you'd prefer to go with the Gen 2 Meta smart glasses for slightly improved battery life, a lighter overall build, and higher-quality video; you're looking for XR glasses more so than traditional AI smart glasses; you'd rather go with a modular competitor to Meta's smart glasses such as the Solos AirGo V or XR-focused ones like the Xreal 1S or RayNeo Air 3S Pros.

The first-generation Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses still have a lot to offer, from crisp, on-the-go video- and photo-taking, and the option for most prescriptions in each clear, polarized, and transitional lenses. While their battery life is not quite as long lasting as the Gen 2s, they'll still offer up to 4 hours of battery per charge, or 30 minutes of live streaming. They'll also charge to 50% battery in just 20 minutes, which tends to offer plenty of capacity for most casual or new users.

Still, the second-gen pair boasts a lighter build and longer battery life, plus higher-quality video. With that comes a higher price tag and fewer discounts, however, so choose carefully.

Many of the best smartwatch deals come and go on a regular basis, and this next Amazon discount is no exception. Currently, Amazon is offering 31% off the price of the white Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, which is a particularly good pick for anyone who prefers a less-sporty, more-traditional smartwatch design.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is normally priced at well over $500, so the $377 price tag makes it look pretty appealing. While it fittingly features a more classic look, it also still includes fan favorite features such as Samsung's Health Perks, a rotating bezel, a bright screen, and a user-friendly interface with One UI 8 Watch.

Buyers also like its sleep tracking and overall fit when worn to bed, as well as its battery life, and the always-on display mode with the "Hey Google" wake word. It also comes with dual-band GPS tracking, a wide range of health sensors, and several health and fitness modes. Throw in multi-tasking capabilities and 64GB of storage, and you've got a smartwatch that truly makes the somewhat high price tag make some sense.

This particular deal is only available for the Watch 8 Classic's white color in the 46mm configuration, though Amazon is also offering some smaller discounts on the black option and other sizes.

✅Recommended if: you prefer a smartwatch that looks more like a regular watch than many of today's more modern-looking watch designs; you like Samsung's lineup of smartwatches but you'd like to spend under $400 if you can.

❌Skip this deal if: you prefer a smaller watch than the 46mm configuration, but you don't want to sacrifice on savings; you prefer a smartwatch with a larger screen for better overall functionality, and you don't mind compromising a little bit on comfort.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic joins many of our other favorite smartwatches today. In particular, we think it's the best classic design for a smartwatch, but that doesn't mean it's a trade off for functionality or features.

From its accurate GPS tracking and range of health and workout modes to its battery life and 3,000-nit brightness, it's a good watch that normally comes at a pretty high price.

In our tests of the watch, we found that, even when heavily using the AOD, the "Hey Google" wake word, and other battery-intensive features, the Watch 8 Classic still yielded a 25-hour battery life pace. All in all, it's not a bad pick, especially if you can score it at a discounted price like this.

The ongoing RAM shortage continues to be a major issue for manufacturers, and it's now affecting two of our favorite VR headsets. Starting this Sunday, April 19th, the prices of both the Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S will increase by $100 and $50, respectively, so if you want to grab the headsets before the hike, now is your last chance to do so.

According to a blog post from Meta, the "global surge in the price of critical components — specifically memory chips — is impacting almost every category of consumer electronics, including VR", which means the price of the VR hardware is set to be affected in the following way:

• Meta Quest 3 512GB: was $499 now $599 (starting April 19)
• Meta Quest 3S 128GB: was $299 now $349.99 (starting April 19)
• Meta Quest 3S 256GB: was $399 now $449.99 (starting April 19)

The price hike will also affect refurbished units selling through Meta's store. It's definitely unfortunate, but the good news is that you still have a few days to grab your Meta Quest headset before it gets hit with the price increase.

When it comes to buying the best flip phone in 2026, you basically have two choices: Samsung or Motorola. That used to be a fairly common dilemma for Android enthusiasts, but now that Amazon is carving 46% off the Motorola Razr Ultra (2025), the decision is a no-brainer.

This surprising Amazon discount drops the innovative foldable phone down to $699.99, representing $600 of total savings. That's the cheapest that the Razr Ultra (2025) has ever been, no trade-in required and no confusing fine print to worry about. 

For a little context, the price of Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 7 — the Razr Ultra's biggest rival — has never dropped lower than $849.99 at Amazon, and that was over the holidays last year. In other words, if you want one of the most powerful clamshell devices on the market today, the answer is clear. 

This "nearly perfected" flip phone crashes to a record-low price at Amazon

Of course, if I were a betting man, I'd guess that this historic price drop has something to do with the imminent arrival of the new Motorola Razr Ultra (2026). Going by last year's release schedule, there's a good chance we'll see the new Motorola foldable before the end of April. 

Is this discount Amazon's way of clearing stock ahead of the new phone's arrival? It's hard to say, but if you don't mind investing in a soon-to-be last-gen foldable, this record discount on the 2025 Razr Ultra is worth some serious consideration. 

The Razr Ultra (2025) boasts two gorgeous 165Hz pOLED displays with a titanium-reinforced folding hinge and IP48 dust-and-water resistance. Under the hood you get the incredible Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with 16GB of RAM alongside 512GB of onboard storage. The clamshell device also features an upgraded battery with lightning-fast charging speeds, plus some AI-boosted software features from Moto AI and Gemini. 

So what's the catch?

Honestly, if you're in the market for a flip phone and you don't mind buying unlocked, there's really nothing wrong with this deal. It's a great device at a great price. My only concern would be the aforementioned arrival of the Motorola Razr Ultra (2026), so it'd be understandable if you wanted to wait a few weeks and see what happens with that phone. 

It's also worth mentioning that Motorola phones don't have the seven-year software promise offered by most Samsung and Google devices, and Moto AI isn't quite as comprehensive or as well-developed as the competition. 

Are these minor issues reason enough to skip this deal? I don't think so. You'll be hard-pressed to find a foldable phone this impressive at this price without going through your wireless carrier, so if this Razr Ultra (2025) deal checks all of your boxes, I wouldn't wait. 

Streaming services have come full circle — they function more like cable TV in 2026 than we'd like to accept. With content scattered across an abundance of streaming services, chances are, you need to subscribe to more than one each month. If you're a hardcore fan of movies and TV shows, you can easily rack up a handful of costly subscriptions. Isn't there a better way?

There certainly is, and cable TV gives us the blueprint. Instead of subscribing to each streaming service individually, some let you buy in to multiple platforms with a single (and reduced) monthly price. Disney popularized this concept with the Disney Plus, Hulu, and ESPN bundle, but others are taking shape. It's sort of a win-win scenario for subscribers and streaming services. Savvy shoppers can get more content for less, and streamers can upsell buyers to platforms they might not have subscribed to individually.

Amazon announced a new streaming bundle exclusively for Prime Video users, and it's pretty attractive, provided you need the streaming services on offer. The bundle gives you Apple TV and Peacock Premium Plus subscriptions for just $20 per month — or less than the price of one 4K Netflix plan. This bundle gives you ad-free access to both high-quality streaming services, which also include select live sporting events.

Breaking down the price compared to subscribing individually, you'll save $10 each month. Peacock Premium Plus costs $16.99 per month on its own — nearly the price of the entire bundle. Apple TV costs $12.99 per month as well. So, you can subscribe to Peacock Premium Plus and add Apple TV for an extra $3, which is very compelling.

Apple TV offers stellar quality but lacks the rich back catalog of legacy streamers, and that's not as big of an issue when you're tacking it onto Peacock Premium Plus for an extra few dollars each month.

How this bundle compares to other streaming combos

Streaming bundles aren't new territory for Apple TV or Peacock. The two streaming services can be combined together for just $14.99 month — that's $5 cheaper than Amazon's offering. However, there's a key explanation for the price difference.

The standard Apple TV and Peacock bundle offers access to the tier of Peacock with ads. This is called Peacock Premium, and in addition to including ads, it omits extra features like downloads. If you package Apple TV and Peacock Premium Plus (the ad-free tier) together, you'll end up paying the same $19.99 price as the Amazon bundle.

It's important to note that buying the bundle through Amazon is only available for Prime Video subscribers. Admittedly, many of us already subscribe to Prime for another benefit. That said, if you don't already have Prime, it makes more sense to subscribe to the Apple TV and Peacock bundle outside of Amazon.

Do streaming bundles get you to save more or spend more?

So, is it a good deal? Yes, it is — if you're a Prime subscriber and want to watch Apple TV and Peacock content. Adding on extra streaming services for a marginal monthly cost only benefits you if you actually value the content. Otherwise, you end up paying for over-the-top subscriptions you never use.

For example, I'm about to cancel my Disney Plus, Hulu, and ESPN Unlimited bundle because college basketball season is over, and I don't watch enough Disney or ESPN to justify the added fee year-round.

If you've been intrigued by Peacock Premium Plus or Apple TV and want to try them together, this is undoubtedly a great way to do so while saving $10 per month and seeing absolutely zero ads.

Another big headphone deal has landed, this time with 38% off the price of the Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones at Amazon.

While Sony has also launched a newer-generation, slightly improved version of these with the WH-1000XM6s, the WH-1000XM5 headphones are still a great choice, and they come at a lower price even before the discount.

Amazon Luna is changing direction, which may frustrate long-time users. If you’ve relied on Luna to access your Ubisoft or GOG games in one place, things are about to get much more limited.

The company has removed individual game purchases, third-party stores, and outside subscriptions from Luna. If you bought games like Assassin’s Creed or connected your GOG or EA library, you can play those titles until June 10, 2026. After that, they’ll no longer be available on Luna.

Luna started as a mix of subscription service and a store where you could buy games or link your Ubisoft, GOG, and EA libraries. In a customer support page, Amazon said it will stop selling subscriptions to Ubisoft Plus and Jackbox through Luna. These will automatically cancel after your current billing cycle unless you take action.

Save your progress

What about the games you bought? Amazon says all purchases are final and there won’t be any refunds. You’ll still have the license with the original publisher, but you’ll need to play those games on your own device or another cloud service.

For your game save data, you have 90 days after June 10 to download it. Keep in mind that cross-platform compatibility depends on the publisher.

It’s no surprise that users are upset. As one Reddit user put it: “This is official end of Luna imo. Whatever it will be from this point forward is nothing that it started as.”

This move is similar to what Google Stadia did before it shut down, although Amazon says it’s still committed to Luna.

After June 10, affected users will get an email offering a free month of Luna Premium, which usually costs $9.99 per month. This is Amazon’s way of making up for the changes. But if you bought games expecting to keep cloud access, your choices are limited: you have two months to finish your games or download your save files.

Subscriptions bring steady income, and Amazon clearly prefers that model. But calling these changes an “improvement” is misleading. Taking away the option to own games doesn’t add value. The free month of Premium is just a small consolation. For now, make the most of your two months, and in the future, consider using GeForce Now or building your own budget PC. At least those options don’t have an expiration date set by a tech giant.

In a press release, Amazon states users with Alexa Plus can start placing orders with the AI for Grubhub and Uber Eats deliveries. This feature is rolling out today (Mar 31) for users on their Echo Show 8 "and larger devices." A formal announcement post goes into detail, stating users can get to ordering after linking their Grubhub or Uber Eats account via the Alexa app. Users can open the app > More > Alexa+ Store > Food & Reservations. After, you can get started—rather immediately, Amazon adds.

If you're sure of the restaurant you want, users can tell Alexa, "Let's order from (name)." For the curious cats, you can tell Alexa what kind of food you want, and the AI is said to produce a list of options that should fit the bill. Amazon says ordering with Alexa is built on a "conversational" foundation. Basically, users can speak their order to Alexa as they'd normally do to a friend or to a drive-thru window.

Amazon says that users can even bounce between information. The post's example suggests users can go from their order back to a restaurant's menu to see the desserts if they say, "Show me desserts." When it's all said and done, users can review their order before placing, and Alexa will keep you up-to-date with consistent status updates. Alternatively, users can say, "Alexa, where's my food?"

AI that's worth using

The press release says your ability to order food with Alexa Plus is a part of its ability to "dynamically adapt" its style based on the task given. Amazon says ordering food isn't the same as asking a mundane question, so Alexa needs to be flexible. Users have a bit of range with ordering food, as they can ask for what's popular, customize their food order if there's something they don't want, and ask for kid options.

Amazon also teased that it might bring Alexa's newfound capabilities from this update to other areas, like "grocery shopping, travel planning," and more.

In case you're wondering, Alexa Plus is available for customers at $19.99 per month. If you're subscribed to Amazon Prime, you will have Alexa Plus already. The AI was also a co-star to Amazon's huge wave of new Echo devices late last year.
