❌ Skip this deal if: you're in the market for the best wireless earbuds available and would rather upgrade to the Buds 3 Pros, or at least something offering true high-resolution listening; you prefer a pair of earbuds without the silicone ear tips; you need a pair of buds that also includes wireless charging capabilities.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds FEs (or Fan Editions) offer a more affordable entry point for pricing than the Buds 3 Pros, while still featuring modern conveniences like a charging case, ANC backed by three onboard mics, spatial audio, and IP54 water and dust resistance.

Samsung says they'll get up to 24 hours of battery life with intermittent case charges, up to 6 hours with ANC toggled on, or up to 8.5 with the mode turned off. The Galaxy Buds 3 FE don't feature the highest resolution audio available on the market, but they still sound pretty good, especially in this price range.

TL;DR: Amazon is slashing 34% off the Garmin Venu 3 (45mm), knocking the popular fitness watch down to its lowest price ever recorded. 

Garmin has been producing industry-leading fitness smartwatches for years, but major discounts on the wearables can be difficult to find outside of major sale events. This is particularly true if you're looking at the brand's popular Venu and Forerunner series of watches, which is why I was pleasantly surprised to see Amazon carve a record-smashing 34% off the price of the Garmin Venu 3 this week. 

This iconic fitness watch once topped our list of the best Garmin watches money can buy, but three years after launch, is the Venu 3 still worth it? It largely depends on what you're looking for in a wearable. Let's break it down. 

The Venu 3 is the predecessor to Garmin's Venu 4, which is currently sitting at the top spot in our guide to the best fitness watches of 2026. Shockingly, the last gen model actually surpasses the Venu 4 in a few areas, with better battery life (up to 14 days) and a lighter polymer casing. You also get the same accurate health sensors with both models, stainless steel bezels, and nearly-identical designs.

Furthermore, the Garmin Venu 3 boasts a ton of comprehensive health and fitness monitoring features (including ECG), NFC and GLONASS GPS tracking, and a built-in microphone for calls. All good stuff, so what's the catch? 

Well, if you're accustomed to a newer fitness watch, the Venu 3 can feel a bit lacking in the software department. You get all of the Garmin basics, such as Body Battery, VO2 Max, and 30 pre-installed sports modes, but you miss out on newer additions like Fitness Coach, Health Status, and Sleep Alignment. The Garmin Venu 3 also doesn't have the built-in flashlight or dual-band GPS. 

That being said, with the current Amazon discount, the Garmin Venu 3 is a whopping $205 cheaper than the Venu 4. If you're a self-guided athlete who doesn't need all of the latest software features, the Venu 3 is a reliable fitness watch at an exceptional price. It'd also make an excellent entry-level watch for someone who's just now getting into tracking their fitness.

For folks who want the latest and greatest in fitness-tracking technology, however, you may want to wait. After all, the Garmin Venu 4 is sure to get a hefty discount of its own one of these days, right?

Kid-friendly tablet deals are officially here as the new school year approaches, much to the delight of parents and children alike. As one example, Amazon has cut $40 off the price of the Fire 7 Kids Tablet, representing a 36% price cut and bringing the device down to just $70.

The Amazon Fire Kids lineup is well-liked for the interface's easy-to-use parental controls, and for the durable, hard plastic cover that's spill- and drop-proof enough to handle a child's active lifestyle. This particular deal is for the ad-free version of the Fire tablet, and it comes in red, blue, or purple, each with different colored accents of their own.

We test these devices every year to ensure that they still meet Android Central's rigorous standards, and I was pleased to see that my personal favorite for students on a budget, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3, is currently chilling with an impressive $220 discount at Best Buy.

Whether you're studying, drawing, or streaming your favorite series after class, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 is one of the best Chromebooks for students because of its overall versatility and bang for the buck. 

Straight out of the box, you get a vibrant 14-inch 1080p display with a touchscreen and a durable enough build that you can easily throw the laptop into a backpack or briefcase. The Chromebook will also last up to 18 hours on a single charge, so you don't have to worry about juicing up mid-class or during those long study sessions. 

The IdeaPad Slim 3's MediaTek Kompanio 520 processor with 4GB of RAM is capable enough for studying, streaming, and browsing the web, plus you get plenty of ports (including a microSD card slot) for all of your devices and storage needs.

It's rare for a brand new tablet to receive a straight discount at launch — especially since the Tab A1 Plus was already pretty affordable — but TCL has never been one to play by the rules.

The Pixel 11 series is set to be unveiled on August 12th — just in time for Back to School shopping — but for folks who don't want to wait, last year's Google Pixel 10a remains a tempting and budget-friendly alternative.

Currently selling for just $424 at Amazon (a 15% discount), the Google Pixel 10a is easily one of the best Android phones for students in 2026, with exceptional battery life, flagship-level camera tech, and an approachable price tag that won't break the bank. We probably won't see another A series Pixel phone until early 2027, so I'm grabbing this discounted Pixel 10a while I can — the Google Pixel 11 can wait.

The best Android phone for students was already cheap, and Amazon just made it even cheaper

The Google Pixel 10a is a cheap Android phone that punches way above its weight class. The phone impressive with a stunning 6.3-inch pOLED display and IP68 durability out of the box, while under the hood you get the tried-and-tested Tensor G4 chipset, Android 16, and seven years of guaranteed OS and security updates.

The Pixel 10a also comes with the same main and ultrawide camera lenses found in the more-expensive Google Pixel 10, while the cheaper phone actually boasts a bigger battery than its flagship counterpart.

It's not the most powerful Android phone on the market, but if you're shopping for a new smartphone on a student's budget and you don't want to sacrifice the latest specs and features, the Google Pixel 10a is an unbeatable device.

Again, the only real catch with this deal is that the Google Pixel 11 lineup is going to be revealed on August 12th with some preorder deals in tow. These early offers will largely be confined to wireless carriers, but if you want to wait and try to get a Pixel 11 through your phone plan, go for it.

However, if you want an unlocked phone ASAP, I'd jump on this Google Pixel 10a deal while you can. The Pixel 11 isn't going to get any straight discounts any time soon, and as it's expected to start at $899, the new device is not nearly as cost-effective as the Pixel 10a offer described here.

TL;DR: Less than two weeks before the Pixel 11 series launch, Amazon is slashing up to $250 off the unlocked Google Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro. 

It's official: Google will be unveiling the Pixel 11 series on August 12th, but if you don't wait to wait, there are plenty of Google Pixel 10 deals worth checking out today. In fact, since so many retailers are trying to clear stock ahead of the 2026 phones' launch, some of the deals on display meet or exceed the offers we saw during the holiday season last year. 

Most of the best offers are coming from wireless carriers, but if you prefer the simplicity of unlocked phones, you're in luck: Amazon is slashing $200 off the Google Pixel 10 and $250 off the Google Pixel 10 Pro, representing the best discounts I've seen since Prime Day in June. Stock appears to be low — the Pixel 10 Pro XL is completely sold out, in fact — so don't wait too long if you're interested: these are likely among the final discounts we'll see for the unlocked devices.

Last chance! Score up to $250 off the Pixel 10 series

The big question now is whether you should buy the Pixel 10 or wait for the Google Pixel 11 to go on sale on August 12th. While we don't have any official spec sheets just yet, we've seen so many leaks come down the pipeline that we have a pretty good idea of what to expect when the phones get unveiled next month. 

For starters, it's almost certain that the Pixel 11 lineup will receive a price increase this year, with most reports suggesting a $100 hike for the Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. The phones will also come with the new Tensor G6 processor, and the design has been updated with a new LED light array surrounding the camera bar. Other rumors suggest an upgraded battery and camera system, in addition to all of the latest AI features we've come to expect from the brand.

Are these upgrades enough to justify the increased price? It's hard to say. If you don't mind buying a phone through your wireless carrier, I expect there to be plenty of great Google Pixel 11 preorder deals starting August 12th, so it might be worth waiting.

If, however, you prefer to buy phones unlocked, the Google Pixel 10 discounts above deserve some serious consideration. After all, it's unlikely that the Google Pixel 11 lineup will receive any no-strings discounts until the Fall sales start kicking off in October, so if you need a new phone today, why wait?

Cheap Chromebooks often rise to the surface during the year's biggest sales events, and right now, Amazon has sliced 17% off the price of the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 Chromebook, just in time for the new school year.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 Chromebook was a pleasant surprise for us upon its release, especially because it boasts better-than-expected performance speeds and a nice 1080p touchscreen display. It also sports a slim and lightweight design that users like, and it regularly gets discounts like these. This particular deal is for the blue version of the device, and it also marks the laptop's lowest price ever seen at Amazon to date.

All that to say, those who are looking for a performant and affordable Chromebook for school, work, and overall transportability will be hard-pressed to find better options at this price, while battery life feels a lot like the icing on the cake here.

❌Skip this deal if: you need a laptop with a higher-quality front-facing camera than 720p, or with more storage than 64GB; you're looking for a device with a fingerprint reader built in; you're in the market for one of the best Chromebooks available and you have the budget to upgrade.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 Chromebook is a basic net-book that's perfect for web browsing, video streaming, and basic work and school tasks. Plus, it comes with a 1080p touchscreen that measures 14 inches, up to 13.5 hours of battery life, and connectivity including a USB-C port, a USB-A port, a microSD slot, and a 3.5mm microphone and headphone jack.

To be sure, it isn't a perfect laptop, but it'll definitely get the job done for most casual users performing basic, browser-based tasks, especially when you're heading back to class.

Some of the best drawing tablet deals are popping up weeks ahead of the new school year, meaning you don't have to break the bank to get a device that's great for drawing and note-taking. This includes the second-gen TCL NXTPAPER 11 tablet, which has slid back to its lowest price ever at Amazon with a 28% discount that brings it down to just $180.

The TCL NXTPAPER 11 features an 11-inch, matte touchscreen display, a stylus, a built-in camera, and a carrying case. Users appreciate the device's long-lasting battery, while the screen is great for those who are extra sensitive to blue light and glare. Meanwhile, it includes a selfie camera that can be used for a biometric unlock feature instead of utilizing an onboard fingerprint scanner.

The TCL NXTPAPER lineup offers a great range of devices, and this one is perfect for anyone who needs a drawing tablet with a roughly-11-inch screen. TCL says the 8,000mAh battery will net users over eight hours of battery life per charge, while it also comes with 18W fast charging capabilities and a reverse charging feature that can be used to power phones and other devices.

It's worth noting that the NXTPAPER 11 doesn't have the highest-resolution screen on the market, nor does it have fast performance or Wi-Fi speeds. Still, at just $180, you'd be hard-pressed to find anything that's going to offer mind-blowing performance, so this pick is perhaps best saved for those who aren't too terribly picky.

Considering that we called the Galaxy Watch 8 the 'best Android smartwatch of 2025', it's no surprise that we've been eagerly awaiting the launch of the new Samsung Galaxy Watch 9. Now the big day has arrived, and Samsung's newest flagship wearable doesn't disappoint. 

The only problem is that the new smartwatch is a bit more expensive than its predecessor, which is why I was excited to see Amazon offer a free $50 gift card when you preorder the Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 ahead of its August 7th release date.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 may not look that different from its predecessor at first glance, but there are some significant improvements when you dig in a bit deeper. The 2026 watch is driven by the new Snapdragon Wear Elite chip, offering a notable performance boost when compared to the Galaxy Watch 8's Exynos processor. Battery capacity has also been upgraded, plus the Galaxy Watch 9 features all of the latest Galaxy AI features with some expanded health and fitness tracking capabilities.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 sports the exact same weight and dimensions as last year's model, which, considering how much we loved the Galaxy Watch 8, is a good thing in our eyes. The new wearable also features the same vibrant AMOLED display, 32GB of onboard storage, and dual-band GPS.

Does upgraded battery life and a new chip justify the higher price on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 9? It's not for me to say. If you can find a good deal on the Galaxy Watch 8 and you don't mind using a last-gen watch, go for it. But if you want the latest and greatest model from Samsung, I can pretty much guarantee that the Galaxy Watch 9 won't disappoint. The free $50 gift card from Amazon is simply the cherry on top. 

It's not always easy to find good open-ear earbud deals, at least when compared with those of traditional earbuds. For that reason, it's exciting to see Amazon cut our favorite open-ear earbuds, the Bose Ultra Open earbuds, back down to their lowest price ever. The deal represents a 33% price drop, marking $100 in savings and bringing their price down to just $199.

We love the Bose Ultra Open earbuds for a number of reasons, but especially for their powerful immersive sound setting, their minimal, sleek design, fast charging speeds, and a relatively long battery life.

While they don't come with multipoint connection or wireless charging, the Bose Ultra Open are still head and shoulders above other competitors in overall quality and design. At $199, they're still a little more pricey than others, but $100 off feels like it could be all the justification you need if you're already in the market.

If you missed all of the festivities during Prime Day last month, you're in luck: the Google Pixel Watch 4 just scored another $100 discount at Amazon, returning the LTE version of the beloved wearable back down to its lowest price ever recorded. 

The discount comes just weeks before the expected unveiling of the new Pixel Watch 5, but if you don't need the latest gadgets on the market, this is an awesome way to save some serious cash on one of the best Android smartwatches ever built. 

We gave the Google Pixel Watch 4 4.5 out of 5 stars in our review last October, and it isn't hard to see why. Straight out of the box, the watch sports a lovely water-droplet-inspired design with a domed 3,000-nit display and a 5ATM / IP68 water-and-dust resistance rating. 

Things get even more impressive under the hood, as the Pixel Watch 4 is powered by a Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 processor with 2GB of RAM and some fantastic Wear OS software. In addition to all of the latest health and fitness tracking technology powered by Fitbit, the watch features dual-frequency GPS tracking, upgraded battery life with lightning-fast charging speeds, and all of the Gemini features you'd expect from a Pixel device in 2026. 

So yes, it's a great smartwatch, but let's address the elephant in the room. Should you buy the Google Pixel Watch 4 now that it's on sale, or should you wait for the Pixel Watch 5 to be revealed on August 12th? 

I'll start by saying that, unlike the upcoming Pixel 11 phones, we don't know a lot about the Pixel Watch 5 just yet. In fact, one of the only reputable bits of information that we do have so far is that the new watch is expected to have a price increase of $50 for the Wi-Fi version and $100 for the LTE variant.

I'm sure that the Pixel Watch 5 will come with some new features and a boost in performance/battery life to offset the price hike, but it's unlikely to be a dramatic transformation from its predecessor. So in conclusion, unless you're a passionate Pixel fan who needs the latest and great gadgets from the OEM, if you simply want a reliable smartwatch today, I'd grab the Pixel Watch 4 while it's on sale.

Cheap 2-in-1 laptops can sometimes be hard to come by, which is why it's so exciting that Amazon has cut 40% off the price of the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 3i Chromebook. This price drop brings the 12.2-inch touchscreen device down to just $350, although it's normally priced at $580.

The IdeaPad Flex 3i Chromebook has a 360-degree rotating hinge and a Full HD touchscreen, making it easy to use in multiple configurations, including as a standard laptop. The device also lets users flip the hinge all the way to lay it flat like a tablet, or to stand it upright for use in a tent-like shape.

Buyers like this model for its utility, and it's a little cheaper than the upgraded 5i model, which is one of the best Chromebooks for students on the market, in our opinion. All that to say, $350 for a 2-in-1 Chromebook is a pretty decent price, as long as you don't mind having a slightly bulky device with large bezels.

❌Skip this deal if: you're looking for a laptop with a sleek, lightweight design that's easy to transport and looks super modern; you need a device with industry-leading performance speeds; you don't need a 2-in-1 laptop and would rather go with a more traditional tablet or computer.

Lenovo says the 3i Flex Chromebook will get users up to 10 hours of battery life per charge, and it also comes with 128GB of storage, a microSD card reader for added storage, an HDMI port, two USB-C ports, and a USB-A port. The display measures 12.2 inches and features an IPS touchscreen, along with a front-facing, 720p camera.

It's backed by the cloud-based Chrome OS, and while performance isn't flawless, it's still plenty quick for most casual users, students, and professionals in need of a touchscreen laptop.

External storage devices just keep getting more expensive, which is why every discount is worth considering nowadays, no matter how small. Fortunately, Amazon has just dropped a bunch of storage discounts that aren't small, even if they're not quite to pre-2026 standards. 

Whether you want a sturdy Samsung SSD, an all-in-one NAS server, or a compact flash drive to throw into your pocket, there is no shortage of storage discounts to check out at Amazon today. 

Indeed, these prices can still be a bummer if you're accustomed to how things were before the current RAM crisis, but if you need more storage for your tech today, this is about as good as it gets. In fact, since prices are continuing to go up for these devices, unless you want to wait another year (at least) to upgrade your storage, I'd jump on these deals while you can.

Why are storage devices so expensive right now?

Storage devices (such as SSDs, HDDs, and DRAM) are getting more expensive because of a global memory shortage caused primarily by the rise of AI data centers. The rapid growth of AI technology has led to a huge demand for memory products, which means there's less supply for consumers. Some devices have seen price increases of 200% or more, so it's important to take advantage of deals whenever you can. 

When will the memory shortage end?

No one knows for sure, although most projections have stated that the global RAM shortage will last through 2027 at minimum. Our sister site Tom's Hardware has even reported that the memory crisis will be "even worse" in 2027 than it is this year. In other words, if you need to invest in an external storage device, I'd do it sooner rather than later.

The global storage shortage isn't going away any time soon, but that doesn't mean you can find some good SSD deals if you know where to look. The Samsung T7 and T9 portable SSDs are two of my favorite storage devices for file management on the go, and Amazon is currently slashing up to 31% off the 1TB versions for a limited time.

Both of these Samsung storage solutions are durable and travel-ready, with lightning-fast transfer speeds, Dynamic Thermal Guard to prevent overheating, and high-end AES 256-bit hardware encryption straight out of the box. They're also small enough to toss into a bag or coat pocket.

That being said, the Samsung T9 is easily the better value here, offering faster transfer speeds of up to 2,000MB/s and a more durable design than the T7. I often recommend the Samsung T7 since it's usually a bit more affordable than its rubberized counterpart, but this leftover Prime Day deal has actually dropped the 1TB T9 to only $199.99, which is a full $20 cheaper than the T7's current price.

Still, if you prefer something sleek and you don't mind slower speeds, the T7 remains a solid pick. Both SSDs are impressive options if you need external storage while traveling this summer, and this Amazon deal has made them more approachable than they've been in a while (barring last month's Prime Day discounts, of course). Given how expensive storage devices are these days, every penny counts.

Prime Day has come and gone, but apparently Amazon missed the memo: the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, one of the best smartwatches on the market today, is still selling with a 33% discount on the retailer's site. That discount knocks the price of the 46mm watch down to its lowest price ever recorded, no strings attached.

This leftover Prime Day deal comes just weeks before the presumed unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 series later this month, but that doesn't mean it's not a great deal in its own right. For $335, you're getting one of the best-looking Android smartwatches ever built, with a rotating bezel, 64GB of onboard storage, and all of the latest One UI Watch software.

✅Recommended if: you want the features of a Samsung smartwatch with the look of a traditional timepiece; you like wearables with tactile features like a rotating bezel and physical buttons. 

❌Skip this deal if: you want to wait for the launch of the Galaxy Watch 9 on July 22nd (most likely); you have thin wrists or you want a wearable with a more sleek design. 

Don't let the hybrid design fool you: the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is all power under the hood. The hybrid watch boasts an efficient Exynos processor straight out of the box, plus you get 64GB of onboard storage, a fast-charging battery, and all of the latest health and fitness tracking features from Samsung Health. The 3,000-nit display is bright and easy on the eyes, while the rotating bezel and Quick Buttons are great for users who like precise controls on their watches. 

On the other hand, the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic does have a pretty bulky construction that may not work for all users, and others may simply not enjoy the "squircle" design or 1.34-inch display. Aside from those nitpicks, the only real issue we found with the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic was its steep $500 price tag at launch. Thanks to this Amazon deal, however, that's no longer a problem. 

It's no secret that SSDs and other storage devices are absurdly expensive right now, and it doesn't seem like that's changing any time soon. Fortunately, Prime Day gave us a few solid deals on portable SSDs and other storage devices, and even though that sale has officially come to a close, there are still a few leftover discounts hanging about.

One of my favorite leftover deals is this offer that slashes 38% off the 1TB T9 SSD by Samsung, knocking the price of the storage device down to $179.99 for a limited time. Up until Prime Day, the 1TB SSD was floating around $250, so this is no small discount — it essentially amounts to $0.18 per gigabyte. And the best part is that, unlike many of the official Prime Day deals we saw last week, you don't need to be a Prime member to enjoy the savings.

Whether you're a photographer, musician, or business professional, if you're dealing with large files on the go, the Samsung T9 is the ideal companion. This compact device boasts read-and-write transfer speeds of up to 2,000MB per second, plus you get regular firmware updates with AES 256-bit password protection and a high-end thermal cooling system that keeps your SSD running smoothly, no matter how heavy the usage.

Google just released the Home Speaker, its first smart speaker in half a decade. It's a small device designed with Gemini at the core, but it's not very impressive as a speaker. A single, tiny full-range driver is responsible for all the sound. Luckily, if you want a smart speaker with high-quality audio chops, you can get the Amazon Echo Studio instead for just $75 more than the Home Speaker during Prime Day.

Amazon's Echo Studio is an impressive smart speaker. It has large audio drivers with Dolby Atmos support, an integrated mesh Wi-Fi extender, and complete Alexa support. This device really does it all, and the Echo Studio justifies its price tag. It's an easier sell for Prime Day, as you can get the Echo Studio for only $175, saving 20%.

✅ Recommended if: you need a smart speaker with sound that can fill your living room; you want Dolby Atmos and spatial audio support; you value a smart home controller with a built-in mesh Wi-Fi extender.

❌ Skip this deal if: you don't have a lot of Amazon Echo or Matter accessories; you want Gemini or Siri instead of Alexa.

Too many smart speakers skimp on sound quality, but the Echo Studio doesn't make that mistake. This speaker includes three full-range drivers and a 3.75-inch high-excursion woofer. There's software support for lossless audio, spatial audio, and Dolby Atmos. Everything you'd need from a living room or home theater speaker is here. You can even pair two of them together to create a stereo set for room-filling sound.

The Echo Studio uses four microphones to ensure it picks up your voice, even when music is playing. Alexa is the voice assistant, and you can subscribe to get the upgraded Alexa Plus version.

Another neat Echo Studio feature is the built-in Wi-Fi mesh extender. You need an Eero router to use it, but if you have one, the Echo Studio can add up to 1,000 square feet of extra coverage for up to 10 connected devices. It also has Zigbee, Matter, and Thread support, so the Echo Studio can be the centerpiece of your smart home.

The Google Home Speaker's sound quality is somewhat disappointing, and if you're looking for something better, the Amazon Echo Studio is a great alternative. For only $175 until time runs out, you can't beat this smart speaker's feature set.

As a tall person, long flights suck if I don't have a good book or device to distract me. After a particularly uncomfortable overseas flight last fall, I decided to invest in two devices that have completely transformed my travel experience: a pair of noise cancelling headphones, and the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 Plus. Everything from smartphones and tablets to TVs and laptops have seen record-smashing discounts this year, so if you haven't bought anything yet, you better act fast. ❌Skip this deal if: you need a watch with dual-band GPS for hyper-accurate readings; you prefer a smartwatch with an actual crown; you'd rather upgrade to the Active Max for up to 25-day battery life and a larger screen.

The Amazfit Active 3 Premium is packed with features that make it feel like a true premium smartwatch, but without the hefty price tag. From health monitoring and training programs to cycle tracking, sleep monitoring, and stress readings, it's a user-friendly pick for runners at any level. I also like the Zepp App platform, which makes it easy to sift through the many features and data points, while also offering a thorough analysis of a range of health and training factors.

Where it falls a little short is in its exclusion of dual-band GPS. However, those who find that to be a dealbreaker should probably consider upgrading to the Active Max anyway.

I enjoy traveling a lot (I'm in Bali right now), and while I like visiting new countries, getting there is often a hassle. There are plenty of annoyances with modern-day plane travel; constant noise, inevitable delays, and seats that are designed to never be comfortable.

While you can't do anything about the seats, there is an easy fix to ensure your flight is at least tolerable: a good pair of headphones. Investing in a good noise-canceling headphone is one of the best travel decisions I made when I started flying regularly a decade ago, and if you're set to travel this summer, you should consider doing the same.

Sony continues to lead the way in this area, and its WH-1000XM5 is among the best headsets you can buy today. That's an all-time low price, and honestly, this is one of the best Prime Day deals I've seen in a while.

✅Recommended if: you want great sound quality, a lightweight design, and excellent noise isolation.

❌Skip this deal if: you need a foldable hinge system. While Sony reintroduced the hinge with the WH-1000XM6, the XM5 misses out on that.

The WH-1000XM5 may be a few years old, but you don't feel that when using the headset. The design is nearly identical to the WH-1000XM6, and the only difference with the newer model is that it has a foldable hinge that makes it easier to stow away in a bag — that's it. The WH-1000XM5 is still pretty good in this area, but it doesn't fold inward. Other than that limitation, I don't see any changes with the design.

The sound quality is obviously great, and the 30mm drivers deliver a warm and vibrant sound with engaging bass, clean mids, and a tight treble. The headphones are designed to be used with any genre, and if you don't quite like Sony's custom tuning, there's always the ability to tweak the EQ, or use a tool like Wavelet to get the best sound out of the XM5.

Other niceties include fast charging, so you get around three hours of music listening time with just a 10-minute charge. On that note, the WH-1000XM5 lasts just under 30 hours on a full charge, so you don't need to charge these more than once a week on average.

You can also configure 360-degree sound, adjust gesture controls, and change modes by using Sony's Sound Connect app. Another plus point is the noise isolation; the WH-1000XM5 does a brilliant job in this area, and it makes traveling or working out of a noisy cafe that much more enjoyable.

There's the standard LDAC codec in addition to SBC and AAC, so if you want to listen to lossless music, the WH-1000XM5 is a pretty good choice. The one annoyance is the water resistance; the WH-1000XM5 doesn't have any dust or water resistance, so you can't really use the headset at the gym or while running outdoors.

Ultimately, the WH-1000XM5 continues to be a great overall choice, and with the deal bringing it down to just $198, you don't want to miss out if you're looking to get a solid travel headset this year.

Schools are out for the summer, which means it's only a matter of time before back-to-school shopping is underway. Prime Day is the perfect way to get a head start, and I'm taking advantage of it by upgrading my younger brother's aging smartphone to the Google Pixel 10, which is currently on sale.

The Pixel 10 isn't yet a year old, and it originally launched at $799 with plenty of notable upgrades over its predecessor. I've been using the Pixel 10 on and off since it launched last year. While I've been pleased with previous base model Pixels, the Pixel 10 is by far the best Google has produced. It comes with a triple-camera setup that includes a 50MP primary sensor and a 5x telephoto camera that delivers some pretty impressive zoom shots.

The Tensor G5 may not be the fastest chip on the block, but it's more than enough for a high school teen. My brother is 16 years old and has been using a OnePlus Nord for years. While he's not too concerned about having the latest smartphone, it's probably time for him to upgrade. He mostly just plays games and watches videos, but I think he would get a kick out of the improved camera and fun AI features.

And because he tends to keep smartphones for a long time, the seven-year upgrade promise means he can keep the Pixel for years to come and still get many of the latest features and security updates. His OnePlus phone stopped getting updates years ago, making his need for a new phone even greater.

For anyone looking to upgrade their high schooler before the 2026-27 school year begins and not wanting to spend an arm and a leg, the Pixel 10 fits the bill pretty well. Alongside the recent update to Android 17, the Pixel 10's newest features basically turn it into the iPhone of Android. RCS makes messaging effortless with high-quality images and other features; AirDrop support makes sharing media simple and quick, and Qi2 support means you can use many of the same MagSafe chargers and accessories.

So even if you're an iPhone family, a Pixel 10 means your high schooler doesn't have to miss out.

Straight out of the box, the first thing you'll notice about the Nothing Phone (3) is its unique design. Staying true to Nothing's distinctive design ethos, the Phone (3) sports an LED dot matrix grid on the back that you can use for notifications and other tools, while the overall styling feels almost cyberpunk in aesthetic without sacrificing IP68 durability. 

The Nothing Phone (3) also features a vibrant 6.67-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,600 nits of max brightness, while under the hood you get a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor and 16GB of RAM. On the other hand, if you care less about looks and are searching for something with powerful hardware and versatile camera tech, there are plenty of other Android phones to consider this Prime Day.

It's no secret that the AI boom has dropped us into a bit of a RAM/hard drive crisis, but that doesn't mean that you can't find a good storage deal if you know where to look. Weeks ahead of Prime Day, Amazon is slashing 31% off the popular Samsung T7 external SSD with 1TB of storage, knocking the price down to $189.99 for a limited time.

Sure, this portable storage device was cheaper before the current crisis began, but as the global memory shortage is showing no signs of stopping any time soon, I'll take any discount I can get. Think about it this way: this Amazon deal gets you 1TB of storage for about $0.19 per gigabyte. Doesn't sound too bad, does it?

The Samsung T7 series has been around for a while, offering users read and write speeds of up to 1,050MB/s and 1,000MB/s, respectively, alongside high-end encryption and enough power to record high-res 4K video directly on the device. 

That being said, the main selling point for the Samsung T7 SSD is its portability. Weighing less than a pound and small enough to fit into a coat pocket, the T7 is the perfect choice for photographers, content creators, and travelers who need an external storage solution on the go. 

Constructed from shock-resistant aluminum, the external SSD has also been drop-tested from up to six feet in height, and you even get a three year limited warranty in case something does go wrong. 

Will the Samsung T7 SSD get even cheaper when the Prime Day deals begin in earnest? Only time will tell, but if you need an external storage device today and you're worried about rising prices, I'd jump on this opportunity as soon as you can.

• Amazon announced a few "visual search" upgrades headed to its app, and the main event involves AI-generated images based on what the user types.
• This feature will rely on your provided color, texture, and pattern descriptions, but every word added changes what the AI "creates."
• Amazon has rolled out AI features before, such as "help me decide," which leverages its AI to find real "Top Pick" or budget-friendly products.

(Update: 6/5 3:20 pm ET): Amazon is clearing the air about tis AI-generated images while shoppers search for products in the app.

A representative from Amazon's Shopping PR team reached out to Android Central to offer deeper insights about this feature. According to the representative, the AI images shoppers see are simply "visual representations of the keywords customers are typing." This is meant to help guide them whilst they search before tapping to find true products in the realm of what they're looking for.

Amazon says that if you're looking for, say, a rug, the app might give very basic results. However, using your "visual cues," you can narrow things down. Shoppers can add specific colors like "blue and cream" and say that the rug was "round." The AI-generated image is like an extension of what you're thinking in this scenario before diving into the product results.

What's more, the Amazon Shopping PR team says there are labels in place to inform users about these images. Shoppers will find "AI image" beneath the search bar, so they know that what they're currently seeing is based on their descriptions, not an actual product. Moreover, the app will tell users that they can "Find products that look like these AI images" before tapping an image that best fits what they're looking for.

Amazon is rolling out a few search updates in its shopping app, and the main highlight is questionable.

This week, Amazon announced a series of "visual search" features headed to its app, and what's got us furrowing our brows is its use of AI. Amazon states that it will use AI-generated images to help users find items they're unfamiliar with. Its official statement reads, "Now, as customers search for products using descriptive language—like color, texture, or pattern—AI-generated images instantly take shape in the suggestions below the search bar."

What's more, it says that, as users type their description, the images will "shift and refine" with each added word. This is where the visual aspect of these updates comes into play, as users might've seen an item before but never had a chance to find its true name. Your descriptions will matter, but it affects the AI's interpretation of what you're talking about, not necessarily the product itself.

Another AI-generated feature that Amazon's rolling out is "Shop by style." This is intended to be AI-curated collages of products after you've searched for something broad like "women's silk shirt," as Amazon states. Its AI will take that and compile different styles of silk shirts into categories. Shoppers can find shirts that fit more of a business theme or a party theme and more.

Amazon Lens Live comes into play, allowing shoppers to use their cameras to ask about products and find them in the app. It's awfully similar to how Gemini Live works today. Elsewhere, the company is rolling out "circle to search." Similar to Google's version, users curious about a product in an image can highlight (or circle) it for Amazon Lens' AI to find it for them.

Amazon's AI has been helpful before

Amazon has rolled out AI-fueled features in the past for its shopping experience, but never quite like what's highlighted today. Late last year, the company introduced "Help me decide." This feature was designed to leverage a user's search history and product preferences to produce "Top Pick," "Budget Pick," and "Upgrade Pick." These categories are pretty straightforward. Some are at the top of the industry (likely pricey), while others are more affordable or something to step up what you already have.

The main difference here is that Amazon's new AI-generated path is trying to create an "image" of what you're searching for to guide you toward listed products.

It's time to get your wishlists ready, as Amazon has finally revealed the dates for Prime Day 2026.

Amazon has now confirmed Prime Day 2026 will run from June 23 through June 26, which means we're now just a few weeks away from one of the biggest shopping events of the year. Interestingly, Amazon is also hosting Prime Day earlier than usual.

In previous years, the event typically took place in July, but this year it's arriving in June instead. That's likely because Amazon wanted to avoid overlapping with major events like the FIFA World Cup and the 250th anniversary of U.S. Independence Day.

As always, there will be plenty of deals across categories. Amazon says shoppers can expect discounts of up to 40% on smart TVs, up to 40% off select laptops from Asus and HP, and deals on some of the best Android phones.

If you're into health and fitness tech, there could also be discounts on devices like the Fitbit Air and various smartwatches. And, of course, Amazon's own products, including Echo Show devices, Fire TV products, and the Kindle lineup, are expected to be heavily discounted as well.

As usual, you'll need an Amazon Prime membership to access Prime Day deals. Amazon says the event kicks off at 12:01 a.m. PDT on June 23 and runs through June 26.

If I am being completely honest, this is probably one of the years where I'd seriously consider picking up tech during Prime Day. Prices across the industry have been steadily increasing lately, and it doesn't really look like things are getting cheaper anytime soon.

If Amazon delivers the kind of discounts it's promising, Prime Day 2026 could end up being one of the better opportunities to save on tech this year.

The current RAM crisis isn't going away any time soon, but if you're looking for a deal on a portable storage device today, you're in luck. At this very moment, Amazon is carving 13% off the 1TB T9 SSD by Samsung, knocking the price down to $249.99 for a limited time. That amounts to around $0.25 per gig!

This compact SSD comes with 1TB of storage capacity, lightning-fast transfer speeds, and an advanced thermal cooling system that eliminates any risk of overheating with heavy use. Sure, that $250 price point is still more expensive than the SSD was a year ago, but given the price gouging we've been seeing on storage devices lately, any discount is worth celebrating.

In addition to 1TB of storage capacity, the T9 solid-state drive (SSD) by Samsung delivers transfer speeds of up to 2,000MB/s, AES 256-bit hardware encryption, and a durable build that can withstand drops from up to 9.8 feet in height. Oh, and did I mention that it fits in the palm of your hand?

If you need even more storage, it's also worth mentioning that the 2TB and 4TB configurations of the device are also 17% off and 30% off, respectively, so you can take your pick.

Sure, if you need a comprehensive storage solution that shares across multiple devices, a NAS server might be a better fit, but if you need a portable device that you can take with your wherever you go, the T9 by Samsung is one of the best options around.

• Another report states that the company would briefly throw users into a fake website link (and use a false affiliate code) from a real fashion influencer who utilizes neither.
• Motorola delivered a statement to Android Central, stating that this issue was "unintended" and that it has worked "quickly" to resolve it.

There's been some questionable activity from Motorola recently regarding its interactions with your Amazon purchases.

This issue was first reported on the Android subreddit by a user with a Razr Ultra 2026. According to their report, the pre-installed "Smart Feed" app supposedly slips into shopping apps to "steal affiliate revenue" (via TechRadar). In practice, the user states that opening the Amazon app on their phone would "instead open the browser and send me to some sketchy looking url, which then redirects to amazon.com with an affiliate code."

It gets even stranger when the user states they went through their device's network traffic and found that Motorola was constantly pinging "devicenative.com." It's under the assumption that Motorola relied on Device Native for this process. Slipping in an affiliate link would award Moto a cut of your Amazon purchase, even though you have never interacted with an official or appropriate affiliate link from the company. It's worth noting that it's not confirmed if this affiliate link was offering a cut to Motorola (which only makes this weirder).

A post by 9to5Google went into more detail, stating the redirect link that would briefly appear in Chrome before your Amazon app sent users to a fake website for a fashion influencer. The publication says that not only does the influencer not list this website on any of their pages, but their affiliate code doesn't line up, either.

Android Central reached out to Motorola about this issue. The company delivered the following statement:

It's interesting to say the least that this was a function of the Smart Feed app to begin with—and never caught beforehand. Regardless, much like our friends at TechRadar, we're also getting strong flashbacks to what Honey's Chrome extension did. You might've seen Honey mentioned everywhere before. Nowadays? Not so much. The platform was caught in some shady affiliate link dealings. During purchases, it would quietly swap out affiliate links from reputable creators and influencers for its own codes.

This would slide over a cut of the purchase to Honey, instead of where it should've gone. Since then, Google has severely cracked down on shopping extensions available for Chrome. The company tightened its rules and banned the possibility for shopping extensions to add their own affiliate links or mess with your shopping cookies.

I think we're all thinking the same thing right now. Motorola's response to this is... timely. It was quick to "rectify" this issue that users have experienced with its app and the Amazon app. The entire situation is weird, though. I'm not entirely sure this will be the end of it, considering how big of a mess this has become. It's clashed terribly with users online, and information like this only makes more people raise a brow.

As far as overall bang for the buck is concerned, you can't really do much better than last year's Ultra. The clamshell device still impresses with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and 16GB of RAM, plus you get a titanium reinforced hinge, all-day battery life, and 512GB of battery life straight out of the box.

The 2026 version of the Razr Ultra upgrades the battery life and camera tech, but that's pretty much it. There's no new chip, the displays are largely identical, and you don't get any added software support. They're both great phones, to be sure, but unless you're an avid Motorola enthusiast or money isn't an object, there's really no reason to go with the 2026 model over last year's version.

The Beats Studio Buds Plus are well-liked for a number of reasons, but especially for their high-quality audio profile, their powerful ANC mode, their long-lasting battery, and the cool colorway options that offer something unique for everybody.

Beats says these will offer users up to nine hours of battery life without ANC, or up to seven hours with the mode activated. The case offers users up to three charges when fully charged itself, while five-minute charging sessions will yield about an hour of playback.

To be sure, these don't include built-in EQ options, which is a feature that many prefer. However, given that most devices today have their own EQ options, this may not be such a dealbreaker for casual users.
