HBO long has been a premium cable service, and now it's got a premium Android application to go along with it.

The catch, of course is that you have to have a subscription to HBO in order to to use it. Or, more accurately, you need to have the login to someone's cable/satellite service in order to use the HBO Go app. And, surprisingly, HBO's been mostly OK with that.

That app itself gets you access to recent movies and series on HBO. It works fine on a phone, fine on tablet, and you can beam it over to a TV using Chromecast. Of course, if you're doing that there's also a good chance you also have HBO on that TV, but that's neither here nor there.
