The Google Now launcher is the obvious pick for anybody looking for pure, clean Android experience. It comes right from Google, so you can shear away anything the manufacturer has loaded up in one fell swoop. The only significant addition here beyond being super-stock is that the left-most home screen becomes Google Now, so you can launch into searches, view cards populated based on the time of day, your location, and general browsing habits, and execute all sorts of hands-free "OK Google" commands. The cards populating Google Now can include local weather, directions to upcoming appointments, upcoming birthdays, content updates from your favorite websites, scores from your favorite sports teams, and the latest stock price changes.

Of course, you can always just type in regular old Google searches as usual, and it will pull up relevant local and web content. The only real downside here is that you won't be able to enjoy the level of customization available on more robust launchers.

Use the Google Now launcher if you're looking for high stability and a consistent Android experience.

How to turn off 'app suggestions' in the Google Now Launcher

Google introduced a new app drawer style in the latest version of the Google Now Launcher — coinciding with the launch of Marshmallow — that now scrolls vertically, and has a set of so-called "app suggestions" at the top of the app drawer. It's supposed to smartly place apps at the top of the...

Hey Google, don't just change fundamental parts of my launcher without warning

This is the least user friendly way to update your apps. Since it became available I've been using the Google Now Launcher on pretty much every phone. Though it's of course pre-loaded on Nexuses and now Motorola phones, I even go out of my way to install it on my Galaxy Note 5 and Shield Tablet...

I got accidentally switched to Now on my Note 4 while fooling around with Now on my new Moto 360 watch and installing apps, including a watch launcher.
I don’t like Now as a Note 4 Launcher and want my Touchwiz back.
Now seems to have slowed down several functions, including dialing.
