ZTE launches a global Nubia site, with plans to expand to more countries in 2016

Chine-based ZTE launched its Nubia subsidiary and brand name a few years ago. Today, as part of CES 2016, it launched the official global website for the Nubia brand, which can be viewed in English, Spanish and Chinese.

Nubia will launch its online store to sell its smartphones on its official site in the coming months. It also revealed plans to expand the reach of its devices to more markets in 2016, thanks in part to an investment boost.

Most recently, Suning Rundong, a leading commercial corporation in China announced its strategic investment into Nubia. Acquiring 33.33 percent in Nubia's shares, the RMB 1.93 billion (US$297 million) investment will provide a wealth of resources for the future development of the company. Nubia, currently has operations in China, North America, South America, Northern Europe, Russia, Southeast Asia and India. In 2016, Nubia plans to extend its brand presence and has its sights set for Latin American countries, Mexico and Argentina, key European markets including the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Spain as well as Malaysia and Thailand in Southeast Asia.
