We're not the only ones who think that Android is about to take off. Analysts at Gartner forecast that our favorite OS, Android, will rank second in worldwide smartphone market share by 2012 (behind Nokia). They estimate that 14% of the global smartphone marketshare will be Android devices--higher than Blackberry, higher than Windows Mobile, and even higher than the iPhone.

Canada Won't Get the T-Mobile G1

Oh, Canada. Our lovely neighbors to the north...home to hockey, maple tree's, and Pamela Anderson will sadly not be a home to the T-Mobile G1. Though T-Mobile extends its reach to many different countries and the G1 has plans to reach the UK, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, and the Netherlands early next year, T-Mobile has cut ties with Fido in Canada so there is no T-Mobile presence in Canada. Thus meaning, no G1.
