Flip Releases FlipShare App for Android

Flip, the simple, easy-to-use video recording device, just released an app for Android but it's not what you think it is. They're making FlipShare, which is basically Flip's personal video sharing software, available to our Android devices. Basically, from what we understand, the idea is to record video with your Flip, post it to FlipShare, and then be able to view them through the FlipShare App on your Android phone. Hm, isn't Youtube good enough for mobile...

Good news for those of you who love video (we're told it's all the rage with the kids these days): Qik has officially released version 0.1.56, bringing 720x480-pixel recording to its Android app and, more specifically, the Droid.

If you didn't already know, the DROID is capable of recording video at 720x480 resolution where most other Android phones record at 320x240 resolution. This means that your DROID can record video at the same resolution as DVDs. Whoa.

Qik, the video streaming application, has just hit Android Market (albeit in beta). If you're unfamiliar with Qik, it basically offers live streaming of the videos you record on your mobile device. It's truly an awesome application so we suggest you guys give it a whirl immediately.
