We mentioned it in the Google Buzz launch post, but it bears repeating: Google Maps has been updated to Version 4.0. With it you get support for the Buzz layers, along with the previously mentioned night mode and synchronized starred items.

Google Maps is one of the best features of Android and thanks to the guys at Google, it just got even better. Google has issued an update to Google Maps through the Android Market and the update is quite significant.

New features include Voice Search, updated business listings, transit and walking directions, and some big improvements to Google Latitude. Voice Search is especially compelling considering the usefulness of it--say and be on your way....

Just a reminder guys! TeleNav GPS Navigator for Android was made available to the public yesterday. You get turn-by-turn directions, 3D maps, millions of POI's, and traffic alerts in a potentially very useful application. We're still testing the software out for our review but in the meantime so far, so good!
