Verizon has officially made the DROID Eris, Verizon's version of the HTC Hero, well, official. Like previous reports, the DROID Eris will release on November 6th for the low, low price of $99 (after rebate, with 2 year contract). We're unsure of why Verizon decided to wait until the day before to announce this puppy but the pricing is absolutely on point. It feels like Verizon is the only carrier who "gets" it when it comes to pricing.

DroidDoes.com is live and stylishly displays teaser-fashioned information regarding the DROID. You'll be able to find out that with the DROID you can "put your thumbs away. DROID answers on command" and that the DROID is 'no granola crunching, flower child phone" but "more powerful than you need and faster than you can handle". Rather deep stuff, right?

The Haier H7 is targeted for a September release (in France) and will run our favorite Android OS. The Canadian Countdown for Android just hit zero and that means the HTC Dream and HTC Magic is now available for purchase to our friendly neighbors to the north. We had previously pegged the release date of the HTC Magic on Vodafone UK around April but new reports are pushing the date back to May 1st. So in a month's time you can expect the Second Android Device to be finally released! And *only* 8 months after the first Android Device! *sarcasm*

BGR is trying to put two and two together and predicting (with no sources, leaks, or tips) that the T-Mobile G2 is going to show up at CTIA. For those keeping score: the T-Mobile G2 is the HTC Magic and CTIA is a pretty huge mobile industry convention. What makes this interesting is that CTIA is right around the corner (April 1-3) and well, it does make a little sense.

We should have put two and two together, huh? First, there was a software update (RC28) that was supposed to update G1's OTA immediately after launch. Second, there was a security flaw found in Android that definitely needed to be fixed. And finally, a T-Mobile G1 update showed up but in RC29 form.

Another day, another rumored release date for the much anticipated HTC Dream. Our previous report of a September 23rd release date has now been replaced by a WSJ report claiming that the actual release date will be closer to "late October". Which makes a wee bit more sense, that September 23rd deadline was right around the corner.
