Android Dev Phone 2 is the myTouch 3G is the HTC Magic is the Google Ion

We've seen the Android Dev Phone 1 for quite some time now and it was essentially a T-Mobile G1/HTC Dream with some snazzy graphics on the battery cover. Now, the Android Dev Phone 2 is essentially the myTouch 3G/HTC Magic/Google Ion with the cute Android Robot peering out on the battery cover.

The Android Dev Phone 2 is available for $399 and comes unlocked for use with any GSM carrier. Developers should note that the ADP2 comes with Android 1.6 and not Android 2.0...

Google I/O 2010 Will Be Held May 19-20, 2010

If you're into planning and saving the date, Google would like to let you know that Google I/O, Google's largest developer conference, will be returning to the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA on May 19-20, 2010. There's not much you can do for the event now, considering early registration starts in January 2010, but consider our calendars marked. Google I/O 2009 was the event where they gave free Google Ions aka HTC...

HTC Magic To Hit 1 Million Units Shipped

HTC CEO Peter Chou expects the HTC Magic to ship its millionth unit within "one to two months". Mind you, it's not exactly the same as 1 million units sold but HTC is very pleased with the current sales of the HTC Magic and expects it to beat many industry analysts' predictions. We guess tough economy or not, people still want their Android!

This is great news because it shows that the world is responding favorably to Android but even better...

This was to be expected. After Google gave away free HTC Magics aka the Google Ion at Google I/O, people were bound to put this special edition, possibly Android Dev Phone 2 onto eBay. Users hit quick and capitalized on the lack of an official US HTC Magic to maximize profit--it seems that more than a few people are looking to make a quick buck rather than incorporate a wonderful...
