T-Mobile G2 / Magic to Get 5 Megapixel Camera?

Dieter Bohn News Friday, 08 May 2009

Looks like BGR is having a banner day what with that Walmart Roadmap.  Next up, seems that the HTC Magic will be coming to T-Mobile for sure possibly with the G2 moniker, but up to now HTC hasn't been fond of people calling the Magic the G2.  Heck, the name "

T-Mobile Android Roadmap Shows an Updated T-Mobile G1 and a Samsung Houdini

Casey Chan News Tuesday, 05 May 2009

We've got our hands on T-Mobile's reported Android Roadmap for the rest of the year and though it looks somewhat suspect, the conclusions are fairly logical. According to the roadmap we can expect an updated T-Mobile G1 to be released some time in Fall of this year along with the mysterious Samsung Houdini.

This timeframe makes a lot of sense because the G1 would have been on the market for one whole calendar year and would be in desperate...

HTC Magic with T-Mobile Branding Clears the FCC!

Casey Chan News Monday, 30 March 2009

Though we already knew that the HTC Magic went through the FCC's rigorous testing process we didn't have any photo evidence to prove it. This time, we're coming through with the pictures!

These pictures all but confirm that the HTC Magic will be releasing on T-Mobile (apparently Android's favorite carrier) because the T-Mobile logo is smack on top. So we can...

China Unicom Will Carry The HTC Dream aka G1 ?

Casey Chan News Thursday, 26 March 2009

It looks like China Unicom may have scored a coup against bigger rival China Mobile. They just might be the carrier in China that will launch the HTC Dream (T-Mobile G1) and the iPhone. Take that China Mobile!

There isn't an official confirmation but China Unicom has posted specs of the G1 and listed it as a supported handset. Getting on a Chinese carrier is almost guaranteeing Android a large slice of the worldwide mobile handset...

Will the T-Mobile G2 Show Up at CTIA 2009 ?

Casey Chan News Friday, 13 March 2009

BGR is trying to put two and two together and predicting (with no sources, leaks, or tips) that the T-Mobile G2 is going to show up at CTIA. For those keeping score: the T-Mobile G2 is the HTC Magic and CTIA is a pretty huge mobile industry convention. What makes this interesting is that CTIA is right around the corner (April 1-3) and well, it does make a little sense.

HTC Magic Passes Through the FCC

Casey Chan News Thursday, 12 March 2009

Engadget reports that the HTC Magic went through the FCC to go through what the FCC does to hot item gadgets--inspect 'em. Though the HTC Magic doesn't have T-Mobile 3G capable bands (1700MHz) we can surely expect two different regional models in the future (the G1 did that). We're not sure if this means the HTC Magic or T-Mobile G2 is coming sooner than later, but it's good to...

There's a bit of confusion in Australia and Asia around the launch of the HTC Dream slated for February 16. The Dream (known to us as the G1) will be launched on Optus, yet a G2 is said to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on the same date. Hmmm.

The plastic factory screen protector is still on my G1 and a G2 is already on the way? These are exciting times indeed.

HTC Touch HD to be an Android Device?

Casey Chan News Thursday, 12 March 2009

Let's classify this as a very odd rumor. Just mere days since HTC announced that they were NOT bringing the Touch HD to the United States (much to the chagrin of our friends over at WMExperts), we have a rumor claiming that the HTC Touch HD will be an Android Device. Wait..Wha !?
