T-Mobile actually did well in the fourth quarter of 2009. They added 371,000 new customers in 4Q compared to losing 77,000 in 3Q. It's still not as good as what they did in 4Q 2008 (added 621,000) but it's a step in the right direction. LG Plans to Launch Three Android Phones in 2009

We've heard about LG and Android before, but not quite like this. In an interview with Dow Jones Newswires, Chang Ma, VP of marketing strategy for mobile communications, said that LG is planning to release up to three Android Phones later this year. We're nearly at the halfway point of 2009 so LG's Android product line should be announced soon.

TmoNews got their hands on the jackpot, a purported list of T-Mobile 3G locations for 2009. We've documented T-Mobile's 3G rollout in the past but this list shows the roadmap of the future. Soon, T-Mobile 3G will blanket the country (just in time for 4G, d'oh!).

There are reports that the Acer Android smartphone will be called the A1 and that it'll arrive in September. Not to be confused with the tangy steak sauce, the A1 has a certain ring to it that works on a number of levels (Acer 1, Android 1, etc). HTC, maker of the T-Mobile G1 and hotly anticipated HTC Magic, is quite obviously the biggest (read: only) Android Smartphone maker on the market. So when HTC speaks, the Android world stops to listen. Peter Chou, the CEO of HTC, says that we can expect "at least" three Android Devices this year from HTC. We're not mad at that.

If you count the HTC Magic as one of the "three" devices, we should still expect two more HTC...

An analyst from Oppenheimer & Co. recently stated that Motorola plans to release 10 smartphones in the second half of this year. This obviously isn't concrete news from Motorola itself, but analysts do have some research (formula? magic? voodoo?) on determining this.

If this is true, this is amazing. 10 smartphones in the second half? Heck, if it's even half true, we'll be happy. There's no telling how many of those devices will run...

TmoNews has reported that the white version of the T-Mobile G1 is expected to be released after the Thanksgiving Holiday. If you remember correctly, the much anticipated, in-heavy-demand white G1 suffered from paint chipping issues that delayed its release. Though TmoNews is conservative in its estimate, we at Android Central have been hearing that the white version won't release until 2009. Hopefully, we're wrong because the white is HAWT.
