Let's not do that man. But I really want this now. but we know this is Sprint, look how long we had to wait for a date for the EVO 3D.

Is it just me or does this phone not do a single thing to set it apart from other phones?

I like Android on lots of different carriers and manufacturers - it makes them step up with something inventive when they want to sell a device. But this phone doesn't seem to have anything special to it - am I wrong?

EVO3D FTW!

I just can't get into this phone. A phone for me has to be functional and look good but this phone is too blocky, making it look old school.
I'll be getting the EVO 3d and then the Galaxy s2 when it is released.

You say the Photon is too blocky, yet you want the EVO 3D or GS2? I am somewhat confused on this logic.

Isn't that kinda like saying you wouldn't drive a Honda because it is foreign made, yet you are in the market for a Hyundai or Scion?

I suppose I worded that wrongly. It is the sharply angled edges that I do not like. I absolutely love the SG S2 form: thin rectangle slate.
The angled edges of the photon really detract from its appearance in my opinion.
There is also nothing in the phone that makes up for that (for me).
If I were a frequent traveler to Europe I may be singing a different song, but for now Evo 3d will hold me till the SGS2 is released.

Now if only sony erricson would put these specs in the next xperia play and release it on sprint I would so get it. Tho this phone looks awesome I am a gamer and have been wanting a device like the xperia play for a long time. I don't wanna carry a wiimote with me to play games.

Tho.... this phone is tempting lol

My only problem is with the carrier. Their 4G coverage hasn't increased in a very long time. The 4G coverage in my area is about 1 mile from my house (Boston suburb) since last year. They have not increased the footprint since they set it up. What the hell are they waiting for??? More people would jump on Sprint if they would be more aggressive expanding their 4G footprint. I have LTE and very fast T-Mobile's HSPA+ in my area. AT&T is just pathetic in the Boston area. Sprint has 4G coverage but just hasn't increased their footprint. Come on Sprint if the AT&T buyout pushes thru many people will be looking for a carrier to jump on and Sprint needs to expand their 4G if they want the Boston suburbs as customers.

Too bad Sprint isn't GSM or have UMA. You can't talk and surf at the same time on CDMA not to mention it works world wide. Stick a local sim card and you're good to go. Sorry Sprint and Verizon...
