The Xperia E4g — with dual-SIM connectivity and LTE — is now listed on Sony India's website for ₹13,290 ($215), making it the most affordable handset from the manufacturer to offer LTE in the country.
As yet, there's no word on availability or when the single-SIM variant will launch in the country. The Xperia E4g itself is the 4G-enabled version of the Xperia E4, and features a 4.7-inch qHD display, 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6732 CPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory, microSD card slot, 5MP camera with LED flash at the back, 2MP front shooter and a 2,300mAh battery. Software-wise, you'll get Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
There are much better-specced devices available in India in the sub-$200 segment, including Xiaomi's Redmi Note 4G, Moto E 4G and the Lenovo A6000 Plus, making it that much harder for Sony to break into this category.
