Sales of the Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch will begin on October 2, and you'll be able to purchase it from Samsung, Amazon, Best Buy and select Macy locations. The smartwatch will come in two variants, the standard which is a sportier style, and the Classic which is a bit dressier. Pricing for the two models comes in at $299 and $349 respectively.
The Samsung Gear S2 will run Samsung's Tizen software, but this time around it will be compatible with any Android smartphone running Android 4.4 and above with atleast 1.5GB of RAM. When paired with a Samsung smartphone, the Gear S2 will also offer the ability to be used to make mobile payments as well. Featuring a 1.2-inch display with a 360x360 resolution, dual-core processor, 4GB of internal storage and a 250mAh battery, the Gear S2 is said to last for two to three days per charge.
