While the Galaxy Tab A is available in 8-inch and 9.7-inch variants in the U.S., the UK-centric model will be offered in the 9.7-inch version initially.

The three different editions that will go on sale in the country — Wi-Fi only, LTE and S-Pen variant (Wi-Fi only) — share similar specs, including a 9.7-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 768, 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 SoC (LTE version features the MSM8916, which has a built-in cellular modem), 16GB internal storage, microSD card slot, 5MP camera at the back, 2MP front shooter, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1, 6,000mAh battery and Android 5.0.

The Wi-Fi only model — which includes the variant with the bundled S-Pen — comes with 1.5GB RAM, while the LTE-enabled version offers 2GB RAM. Samsung is bundling its Galaxy Gifts promotion with the Galaxy Tab A, through which customers purchasing the tablet will get 115GB OneDrive storage, The Economist and Kindle for Samsung for free. Pricing information for the tablet will be disclosed during the time of launch.
