Galaxy Note Edge, Note 4, and S5 are the first Verizon phones to receive the Stagefright fix

Verizon is pushing out an update to the Galaxy Note Edge, which contains the patch for the Stagefright exploit. We have already seen Sprint and AT&T push out updates for a few phones, as well as Google roll out new factory images for the Nexus line. It appears as though Verizon is pushing the update for the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S5 as well. We would imagine the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge won't be far behind.

Galaxy S5 on Verizon gets Stagefright fix

Samsung recently committed to monthly security updates, in order to aid in keeping its devices as secure as possible. It's great to see the quick turn around from the device manufacturers and carriers to get these phones updated.

Thanks for the tip, Erik!
