Verizon has finally decided that it's time to push the Android 5.1.1 update out to Samsung Galaxy Note 4 owners. This update, which is software version LMY47X.N910VVRU2BOK3, carries a number of bug fixes as well as some new features. You'll also notice that the Amazon widget and Amazon Appstore are removed in this build. Verizon also notes the following changes:

  • Supports Android for Work. To learn more, go to https://www.google.com/work/android/
  • Upgrades to Samsung Knox Platform, a comprehensive suite of mobile enterprise security solutions
  • Removes pre-loaded Amazon® Appstore and Amazon Widgets from the device

It may take a little for your phone to show the update, but you can always check manually for it as well. To do so, head into the Settings, then About phone and finally check for the update. Once you grab the update, be sure to let us know how it works out for you.
