A Note 3, but not quite as we know it

We already know this one isn't coming to the UK, but Samsung has quietly announced the Galaxy Note 3 Neo over in Poland. To look at, it's virtually identical to the regular Galaxy Note 3 we know and love, but the display has been shrunk ever so slightly. The Neo has a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display, down from 5.7-inches on the regular Note 3, and the resolution is also down at 1280x720.

What's inside depends on whether you're looking at the Note 3 Neo 3G or the Note 3 Neo LTE+ version.

The 3G only variant boasts a 1.6GHz quad-core CPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of on-board storage with a microSD card slot, 8MP camera round the back and a 2MP shooter up front. The battery hasn't been slimmed down too much from the original Note 3 either, coming in at 3100mAh.

The LTE+ version will come with a hexa-core CPU made up of two 1.7GHz A15 cores and four 1.3GHz A7 cores. Everything else remains the same as the Neo 3G, and both ship with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Availability is slated for February, and the Note 3 Neo will be available 'worldwide' in black, white and green. Samsung didn't leave us with any word on pricing at this point.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo gets official in Poland

Edit..but the Note 2 was a good device. And with the smaller bezels and fake leather back, it should feel better in the hand. Maybe it won't cost an arm and a leg.

Sent from my Crashed Note 3 that does NOT suck monkey balls!

And then people wonder why updates take forever and devices get left behind. Maybe because Samsung has 3947483937 devices that don't need to exist. Keep the "S" line and the Note line. Stop all the other cheapo crap. Just use older S models as cheap phones for prepaid and such. TADA!

I'm gonna say the meeting went like this:

Hmmm we need a large device like the note 3 but with a slightly smaller 720p screen. Too bad we don't have any old devices that fit this category. Oh well let's make the galaxy note 3 neo. Hell while we're at it let's make a galaxy S neo, its not like we have any phones in our recent lineup with lesser specs and lower screen res and size that we could sell at a cheaper price and be able to keep up with the updates.

Why because your wrong in your perception?

Samsung only has a few phones they update. The rest are throwaways to developing countries or prepaid that no one updates

This post approved by the NSA.... at least I hope so.

You just proved my point. If they just used the old devices in the developing markets they wouldn't have to be throw away non updated devices.
