After launching earlier this month on AT&T, US Cellular says it will begin selling the rugged Kyocera DuraForce on Wednesday, November 26. The carrier will price the smartphone at $99 with a two year contract.
US Cellular also says it will price the Kyocera DuraForce for $0 down and 20 monthly payments under its equipment installment option but did not state the specific amount of each installment. The 4.5 inch smartphone runs on Android KitKat 4.4.2 with a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. It has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of onboard storage, along with an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front facing camera. It also comes with a 3100mAh battery and dual front speakers.
More importantly, the Kyocera DuraForce has been IP68-certified for its ruggedness. It is dustproof, waterproof and can be submerged in up to 6 feet of water for up to 30 minutes. What locations would you take this smartphone?
